I team I have been practicing with for awhile. What do you think? Sorry it aint in the usual format but it was kinda rushed. Ill post up the EVs later on.

    Tentacruel@Leftovers

    Calm Nature
    Clear Body

    -Surf
    -Ice Beam
    -Mirror Coat
    -Toxic Spikes

Set up Tspikes, and just Surf and Ice beam to fire back at something. Mirror coat is a great move on this pokemon.

    Gliscor@Leftovers

    Jolly Nature
    Hyper Cutter

    -Aerial Ace
    -Earthquake
    -Stealth Rock
    -Roost

I am new to the whole gliscor thing lol. Hyper Cutter over Sand Veil for personal reasons.
Not much to resist aerial ace and eq I really dont think i need ice fang on this thing.

    Weavile@Choice Band
    252atk/232 Spd/26 HP
    Adamant Nature
    Pressure

    -Ice Shard
    -Pursuit
    -Ice Punch
    -Brick Break

Pursuit to kill or Ice Shard to kill. One or the other. you can say whatever you want but im sticking with adamant on this thing, still forces out switches on alot of things

    Swampert@Leftovers

    Relaxed Nature
    Torrent

    -Hydro Pump
    -Earthquake
    -Roar
    -Ice Beam

A great swampert which i cant stop using lol. its a staple for me and fits nicely on this team.

    Metagross@Muscle Band
    252hp/252 atk/6def
    Adamant Nature
    Clear Body

    Thunderpunch
    Meteor Mash
    Bullet Punch
    Explosion

a powerhouse. can survive a dd gyarados eq and some other stuff and is able to shoot back some of its own power. Muscle Band to keep them guessing.

    Dusknoir@leftovers

    252 spdef/ 252 hp/ 6 def

    Sassy Nature
    Pressure

    Night Shade
    Trick Room
    Pain SPlit
    Will o Wisp

a trick room dusknoir which i absolutly love using.

sorry for the sloppiness it was kinda rushed ill post the EVs later on when I get home. but so far what do you guys think? not for the platinum metgame lol.

Just make sure you DO post evs or ill smash you @________@ lol

Anyways from what i can see so far, thunderpunch would be cool on Noir for Gyarados weak.

I dunno about using ice shard and ice punch on Weavile
I think you should replace one of them with night slash or maybe aerial ace
Also I think you should at least replace the muscle band with expert belt or life orb

    Aerial Ace.

    [PokeCommunity.com] RMT please?

Anyways I really don't think Ill be getting too many super effective hits with Metagross. And it causes too many switches to something that will wall it so I don't like the idea of losing 10% of life for that. But thanks for the suggestion. And yea I am gonna put Night Slash instead of Ice Punch. Thanks for pointing that out.

D_A, I really doubt I am GAYrados weak since Gross can take a dragon danced Gyarados Earthquake with and counter attack with my own Metagross. And besides Dusknoir renders GAYrados useless with its trick room combination so unless my opponet is running taunt on his GAYrados which I strongly doubt with the current metagame nowadays of platinum move hacks running rampant. But it is something I will take into consideration.

Oh I havent posted the EV's yet. Damn I should get to it. Ito_Igami has down all the EVs and stuff. :P

+1 Life Orb Aqua Tail does 81.29% - 95.58% to your Dusknoir, with SR thats a OHKO.

+1 Life Orb EQ does 100.27% - 117.86% to your Metagross, always a OHKO.

    So yeah.

In addition it can come in on tenta, gliscor and sometimes weavile (depending on what its locked into) etc with ease, thats over half your team it can get a free dd on.

T-Punch + Some def evs on noir please =p

Gah, the numbers dont lie. Guess I really should consider the Tpunch then huh? Dang looks like I need a new Dusknoir lol. Good thing I got a clone of it when it was un ev'd :P Aqua tail on GAYrados? hmm anyways yea I got some work to do then.

Dusknoir is a terrible Gyarados counter imo, even with max HP/max Def or whatever you plan on investing. Waterfall is still easily 2HKOing after a DD, and Thunderpunch from a 236 Atk Dusknoir does 79.52% - 93.98%. That's not even taking into account the very real possibility of Pursuit, weather (SS/Hail), and like NO recovery. Uxie is a better Pursuit weak Gyarados counter (and it gets Reflect and SR and Twave and all of this other fun stuff).

Gah, have to go, that's all I can say for now <3

Ignore what Smogon says; Dusknoir IS 2HKO'd by a Once Dragon Danced, LO Gyarados. That alone should be enough proof that Dusknoir can't counter Gyara.

Porygon2 is a much better counter; in addition to Gyarados, he can counter Salamence (both by bouncing back Intimidate).

    Porygon2 @ Leftovers
    Trace
    Bold
    236 HP/216 DEF/40 SPATK
    Thunderbolt/Discharge
    Ice Beam
    Recover
    Thunder Wave/Magic Coat

With these EV's, Porygon2 has a very good chance to OHKO Gyarados with Tbolt (and always will with SR damage) and non-Yache Salamence with Ice Beam. He can spread around paralysis with Twave, crippling fast sweepers who try to switch into P2.

I presume you meant Choice Band, not Muscle Band, correct? Other than that, I see no real reason to use Trick Room Dusknoir on a team with little to no slow offense. Ditch it for the Porygon2 Fabian suggested.

ya theres the p2 u can use or if your lookin to keep the trickroom try using an ironball weavile w/ fling.
its very novelty but NO ONE expects it and it is pretty fun to use XD
with iron ball you'll be slow as dirt during trick room. then on the last turn just fling it off and bam ur speedy again. again its very novelty

Too gimmicky, and as you said, novelty.

I could use Specs mentally special Gyara or Nasty Plot Weavile, nobody would expect those, but the point still stands that they fail.

Relaxed Swampert seems like it could do so much more with Avalanche and Focus Sash than Ice Beam and Leftovers.

Why Focus Sash? Swampert's too bulky for the sash to work effectively, and he NEEDS leftovers recovery for a defensive set.

Personal preferance. I'm the kind of idiot that would throw it at something I know has Grass Knot and then Avalanche it. But it's too insane for most people.

Then again, I also use Drifblim in competitive... Heh.

drifblims pretty good in competitive >_> , and as for your weavile, id run max speed and attack. metagross needs CB. i think you should ditch your personal reasons and use sand veil because 1. SS wont completely be unuseful and 2. unless im missing something, that gliscor isnt offensive seeing it isnt even running impish or adamant, its running jolly >_>

Ah well thanks for all the suggestions guys, i will take it all into account. Yea I really need to rework this thing lol

    Well,

I agree with most people that this is a good team. It isnt the best, but it has its pros. The pros would be Tentacruel, Swampart, Dusknoir, and Metagross. Tentacruel is a good start for a team. I've never actually seen it used, but its a good one can really reap benefits. I do agree with you that Mirror Coat IS a good move for it. Next, to your Swampart. Swampart is a part of my main team, so I know how to use him well. My moveset is Take Down, Muddy Water, Earthquake, and Ice Beam, which yours is pretty close to. Roar is a good addition. Next, your Dusknoir. Trick Room could be a great addition to its moveset. Then nightshade, which will get you a few hitpoints ahead. After around two moves with Dusknoir though, I would switch out another pokemon, which would be Metagross. Use Meteor Mash and its nearly over. Use explosion if its there last pokemon, and you win.

The cons of your team are Gliscor and Weavile. These two dont have very good movesets. I assume you choose Weavile for its high speed, which is one of the highest ice-type/speed combinations possible. But what else you could do is bring in Glaceon. Glaceon could learn a wide variety of moves, so you play with that. As for Gliscor, I dont know what to do...

    Nice team anyways,
    -MG-
please dont rate with proper information i mean take down?what the hell is up with that?
