A team I'm working on for pokebank OU on the server. I will neaten this thread up a bit when my internet wants to play nice.
Smeargle @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
Nature: Jolly
Evs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Spore
- Sticky Web
- Stealth Rock
- Night Shade
Info: Smeargle is a pokemon I have never really thought of as a competitive asset. But as it turns out it is quite the lead. It does have terrible stats, but its job is not to last long. Smeargles role is simple, it spores the opponents lead (whether it is forced to use its sash or not) and then proceeds to set up Sticky Web and Stealth Rock (preferably SR first). Night Shade is there just in case I for some reason end up using Smeargle to deal damage.
Aegislash @Leftovers
Ability: Stance Change
Nature: Adamant
Evs: 252 HP / 252 ATK / 4 SpD
- King's Guard
- Sacred Sword
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
Info: Aegislash is useful to counter fairies and is also gifted with both great offensive and defensive stats (depending on forme), priority and an excellent typing that provides with several resistances and three immunities. This being said I'm not sure if I want it permanently on this team, I'm thinking there are probably more viable pokemon. I just find its role as both a wall and hard-hitter interesting.
Hydreigon @ Expert Belt
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Hasty
Evs: 4 ATK / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Draco Meteor
- Dark Pulse
- Earthquake
- U-Turn
Info: Hydreigon is the only pokemon on my team that can really hit dragons, it has hugely powerful stats and a good movepool as well as a workable Speed with these Evs. It's main weaknesses is that it possesses a rather crippling 4x weakness to the fairy type, but it has U-turn to remedy that (it can switch into Aegislash, Venusaur or Excadrill).
Venusaur @ Venusaurite
Ability: Overgrow (Thick Fat as Mega)
Nature: Lonely
Evs: 252 HP / 252 ATK / 4 SpA
- Petal Blizzard
- Sludge Bomb
- Synthesis
- Earthquake
Info: There is very little MegaVenusaur cannot tank through. Petal Blizzard and Sludge Bomb give it some fairly powerful STAB moves that focus on its higher offensive stat, synthesis is excellent as it allows for longer tanking after it has been around for a while and Earthquake provides for excellent coverage.
Excadrill @ Air Balloon
Ability: Mold Breaker
Nature: Adamant
Evs: 252 ATK / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Earthquake
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin
- Swords Dance
Info: Rapid Spin gets rid of those pesky entry hazards whilst Excadrill is capable of dealing incredible damage with Swords Dance + Excellent ATK + STAB Earthquake. Rock Slide is because I hate Togekiss.
Talonflame @ Flying Gem
Ability: Gale Wings
Nature: Jolly
Evs: 252 ATK / 252 Spe / 4 HP
- Acrobatics
- Flare Blitz
- Swords Dance
- U-Turn
Info: Talonflame (still hate the name) is a really useful sweeper. It's base ATK isn't anything overly impressive admittedly but it is enough to be viable with powerful enough moves and a focus on the right EVs. Acrobatics always has extra power as well as priority and when combined with Flare Blitz makes for excellent coverage with excellent moves. Swords Dance is an added bonus but I doubt it will see much use. U-turn is to get the hell out of there because of TF's frailty.
