This is a mixed team I've been using for 6v6's recently. It's the second ever team I've built and though I like it, I am fairly new to the competitive scene and still get destroyed by some pokemon like Blaziken/Sub-disable Gengar etc. Is there anything I could add/change?
Ferrothorn @Rocky Helmet
Iron Barbs
Evs: HP+DEF/SPDEF
1.) Thunder wave
2.) Iron Head
3.) Leech Seed
4.) Stealth Rock
Mixed wall, rocks setter, pseudo-paraflincher
Chandelure @Choice scarf
Flash Fire
Evs: SPATK+SPEED
1.) Flamethrower
2.) Energy Ball
3.) SHadow Ball
4.) Psychic
Scarfed special sweeper, spin-blocker
Espeon @Leftovers
Magic Bounce
Evs: HP+DEF
1.) Calm Mind
2.) Morning Sun
3.) Psychic
4.) Dazzling Gleam
Magic Bouncer, Mixed wall, Set-up into special sweeper.
Goodra @Assault Vest
Sap Sipper
Evs: HP+DEF
1.) Dragon Tail
2.) Thunderbolt
3.) Ice Beam
4.) Sludge Bomb
Yet another mixed wall, Phaser
Gliscor @Toxic Orb
Poison Heal
Evs: HP+DEF
1.) Protect
2.) Taunt
3.) Earthquake
4.) Knock Off
Annoying physical wall, Taunter
Hitmonlee @Normal Gem
Unburden
EVs: HP+ATT
1.) Fake Out
2.) Blaze Kick
3.) Stone Edge
4.) High Jump Kick
Physical sweeper, once you pop you can't stop
General strategy is to open with Ferrothorn and try to set up rocks.
If it looks like a fire-type move is coming Ferrothorn's way, switch to Chandelure, get a flash fire boost and start an early game choice scarfed sweep.
If the enemy looks like they will set up sticky web/rocks or other hazards of their own, switch to Espeon and Magic Bounce them back.
Once rocks are up, switch to Goodra and dragon tail until Goodra is dead. (Unless there is an abundance of fairy types or pokemon resistant to rocks.)
Eventually when threats/ghosts are gone, set up with Espeon or unburden Hitmonlee and sweep.
Are there any more useful Pokemon that could fill the places of above while still keeping it a mixed tier team? Goodra does it's job but isn't quite as effective as I'd thought it would be. Would not consider using any Ubers or substitute-users (I am racist against subtitutes.)
