I just taught I would start a thread on this.
Did anyone see the game "Eternal Eden"- a game being developed in RPG Maker VX - featured on Gamespot's site?
I was kind of shocked to see a RPG Maker VX game on such a serious game site.

    Here is the link:

What do you make of that. Or anyone got an opinion?

From what I've seen so far, it looks..good I guess. But for it to be featured on Game Spot is rather weird, as it doesn't look like it's much of a fantastic game :x

I've seen a bit more nicer-looking RMXP Games that should be up there, Quintessence for one.

Hmm well its good I haven't downlaoded it and I won't ,but I agree with you Neo why would it be up there?

It's there because it's a commercial game being sold for money. I think that would qualify it to appear on the site. Besides, RPG Maker games on large websites are nothing new; take a look at this.
    They're not even that good...

I think that was my point as well. The fact the game is pretty standard looking and using standard features for the maker rather then something custom. Just found it odd to see lol.

The dialogue makes me want to smack somebody. The graphics are nice though, I tried the trial for VX and I couldn't understand why anybody would want to use it over XP, the way they do tilesets is such a gigantic step down. This game seems to be able to make proper maps despite that step down.
