@M4L: Dont worry^^ Maps dont have to match perfectly to connect them, you can add a shift at the connection manager

@neti: I can't just insert any ID, the rom crashes or you will battle a false trainer.
The trainer IDs can be found in PET, but it doesn't work on my computer -.-'

So I have to insert an ID you can find in PET, then a battle with this trainer will start.
So the best would be if somebody could use PET to find a trainer we could change (pokemon etc) and then tell me the ID.

Otherwise we could try a new programm I found, I'll try it out now and tell you if it works.

Sorry that I had to upload it with rapidshare, but the verification process of mediafire stopped at 5% and even after 10 minutes or longer nothing happened -.-'

we need to think about the gyms, and xbuster mentioned an idea: why use pokemon type gyms when we can use pokemon species gyms? like dog gym, bird gym and so on
this is what i imagined:
1. fish (eg wailord, sharpedo, feebas)
2. rhino (eg rhyhorn, nidoking, donphan)
3. snake (eg ekans, onix, dratini, gyarados)
4. bird (eg pidgeon, noctowl, [aerodactyl]?)
5. humanoid (eg machop, blaziken, alakazam)
6. dragon (eg dragonite, charizard, salamence)
7. cat (eg persian, espeon, delcatty)
8. dog (eg mightyena, granbull manectrike)
if you dislike one of the selected species as a gym species tell me^^
i got some problems with my wlan connection so dont expect mw to answer your posts and pms instantly as normally^^

ive got a qeustion to MT: what in the trainerbattle command is the trainer id and where can i find it in the Trainer Editor?
i need to know that in order to edit the gyms

trainerbattle 0 0x0001 <----- this is the Id of the trainer you will battle.

I edited a trainer, worked quite well. the name isn't displayed properly and after the battle the script doesn't continue.
If I manage to handle this problems the script should be finished.

afaik you can find it in PET, but like I said before it doesn't work on my computer so I couldn't try it out.

edit: found the mistake why the name wasn't displayed correctly, I'm sure it will do now.

i just found out that drevilg ddidd not make the entei sprite, it is from pokemon mystery dungeon (a gameboy game, no rom hack)
we could get mor of those nice sprites if we took em from that game

good first:
the script is working allright, everything is like it should be.

the bad:
now the name of the trainer is displayed, but the messages like Team Aqua Steve sends Meotw etc...
are displayed weird.

I hope I will be able to fix this, but the rest is allright now.

But I need the name of the evil female rival!
It's mentioned in this script ^^
 
@Neti are you crazy? xD you couldn't use a pokemon like wailord in the first gym, and when you mentioned that your starter is a firepokemon, you haven't got any change xD

but, really, i don't like the idea, i'm for the old gyms with elements

@M_T really good work with the script. hm, a name for the female rival... what about Samara? i really like the name (it's also the name of the scary girl in "ring" the movie, you know? xD so it has a dark side)

we could use another gym as the first one, but i really like this idea more than the old gyms.
 
hm...what about this idea? we ask our members who is for and against this idea.

ok, if everyone want this idea you really have to chance the pokemon and not take fish as the first one, becauses fishes are just water pokemon and like i said before it would be very hard to handle that.

And who like the name Samara..?
 
Samara is a suitable name, I'll take it for now (if X-Buster like it too it will be her name forever ^^).

Well, I like something else in the gyms too.
But fish would be really crazy, nobody could handle this with a firedog.

btw the trainer you fight in my script is using a meowth, are you okay with that?
 
Sorry about bugging you guys, i'm like your next door neighbor, Minami 10 leader, and it seems Im doing what I do sometimes, looking at other teams, not to spy on your ideas but just to look at something interesting, cause you guys are very active, and well, your ideas are always funny (not that they aren't sensible but when other members oppose, it's always funny). Now, I saw an idea that was too crazy, and I liked how other people defended it

@Narutard omg spies! xD it's just like i said, it's crazy, but the idea is still in production, and we could handle it, so no fear.

@M_T i would like to include "cat" as the first gym leader, with 2 Pokemon: Skitty and Meowth or other idea, what about "butterfly"? which firedogs you could handle it easy and there are much EP x3

But the last one should definitly be dog, i think (if we take the idea xD)

i like the name too, and i said: if you dont like the gyms we can change them.
so fish wont be the first
 
BTW i think the trainer should have a sneasel, it fits more for me, because it's a dark pokemon (for me a steel pokemon, too) for a dark trainer, but maybe you want to let meowth xD
 
hmm i think we should take sth else than meowth because team rocket uses it

i tried your new beta and i think the problem at the battle text is the name off the trainer
