Btw, good news: The scripts in legend of fenju were messed up because reinserting with XSE ( I'm not used to it yet...) and bytes were overwritten, all messages were messy-

Why I call this good news? It forced me to use your patch again and reinsert all scripts. Now there isn't wasted space because of inserting false scripts which need to be corrected :P
And in addition, nearly everything is working. I forgot to delete 2 colour codes, and I have to add that " I stumbled" thing to the dialogue with Lorelei.
Then I'll send the patch to you;)

but dont worry about space, ill split the game up into 3 roms
and there will be patches released that add new regions, eg islands where you can catch other pokemon, do quests or catch legendaries like latias and latios which dont take part in the story
those patches will be patched on one or more new roms as well

caus eive changed some lil things at some maps and at the desert tileset

That means I have to reinsert all persons, adjust all numbers and IDs and insert the scripts again..but okay.
But I'm not sure if I can make it today, and tomorrow I have much work and I'm not at home very often.
 
just insert the scripts, ill reinsert the maps with all persons and scrripts ;-)
just the script offsets have to be adjusted, you gotta tell me those then
 
Sorry, I was already working and I'm done now. I read your post a little bit to late ^^
But it would have taking me longer to write down and explaint, which person with which number and which ID should stand on which spot and have which offset, so I simply did it xD
You'll get the patch now, I hope everything's allright :)
 
i have a problem...
when i change some blocks on one map, it changes the border blocks other maps...
and i also have a map where i cant edit the connections anymore cause theyre completely wrecked

@MT: is your name on RHW Luxtra108 ?
cause i was wondering, a guy with that name posted FoR and 2 scripts of LoF there...
if its you or someone else from the team then its ok, but if not we should... be ncie to him

btw guys... why isnt Flame of Rage going on? who has the patch at the moment?

oh and i want to add more lil side events to LoF, if someone has a good idea just let me know.
it shouldnt be a long event or hard to script
an example is the squirtle event that MT is currently making:
in a public pool theres a woman asking you to give water wings to her son who just jumped into the water without them.
if you catch him you have to battle him and if you win he takes on the water wings. when you go back to the woman she gives you a squirtle.
thats a really short event, other side events could be longer... and i want the player to get totodile and mudkip, but im not sure if he should get all of them so early/easy if he gets all the other starters in the other regions as well

well, just think of nice lil events

edit: we seem to have a big problem... everytime i meet a wild pokemon in LoF the game stops after the screen turned black... it just doesnt go on
check if it happens in the patch i sent to you as well MT
ive tried an odler patch and it works, i think this is a new problem and we can easily fix it by exporting the two maps ive changed since that patch and insert them into the old one
maybe ive overwritten something when fixing the border and connection offsets...
everything seems to be fixed now, il lsend you a new patch

I'm deeple sorry, I just took the longest and complicatest of my folder (funny, both of legend of fenju ^^)

X wanted the patch some days ago, so he's got the latest one.
Dunno what he wants to do with it.


btw neti, yes I'm allowed to drink now (legally..doesn't mean I didn't before...*whistle* xD)
 
its ok that youve posted them there, but dont post any scripts of events that you script in the future, cause those will remain secret til the beta release

hey guys, I'm just wondering if we could add a Pidgeot express on every town? it would similar to fly but just in case you dont have a flying pokemon, this will do..^^

and also, what if we could make a NEW PokéDEX arrangement for Ryouhi Region?
for example:

Kanto DEX => bulbasaur, ivesaur, venusaur, charmander, carmeleon....and so on
Johto DEX => chikorita, bayleaf, meganium, cyndaquil, quilava....and so on
Hoenn DEX => treeko, grovile, sceptile, torchick, combusken...and so on..
Ryouhi DEX => we need a new for this...

know what I mean?

Well, don't add every Pokemon.
Just mix them up a bit.
The only ones that are together you should add, are all 9 starters and every legendary all the way up to Deoxys! ;)
 
i dont know whether its necessary since we dont have new pokemon... its a lot fo work isnt it?
 
I think we have to get a bit more organized again cause FoR is in kind of a stop&go mode

- are all events finished? if not: MT needs the patch
- any sprites needed? Patch has to go to SA if yes (when shes online...)
- are there any tile or mapping errors? if yes, send the patch to me
- wild pokemon headers: if noone else wants to do it i can make them
- pokedex order: do we need to changed it?
- anything else??

and @X: did you start the lof region map yet?
