1st off, thanks for all the replys and feedback. That being siad, I'll offer my opinions on the various arguments for both sides.
- Rotom's Level makes it a non-legend: In Pokemon Yellow, Mew was encountered at Level 7. So does that mean Mew isn't a Legendary Pokemon? Let's see how far that gets...HAX
- Rotom's battle music is that of a Legendary: Well, the argument about Cresselia having non-Legend music kind of settles that.Just about. Muzak means nuthin
- Rotom will never have its own movie: Three words = NEVER SAY NEVER
Movies doesn't mean shrak. Is Lucario a legend? NO WAI!!!!!
- Rotom's stats aren't Legendary stats: The answer to that can be found in the Pokemon itself. A Rotom wouldn't really need to battle anyone or anything. All other Legends might in order to protect territory, family, etc. Rotom can just escape into an electrical cable. So that could be the reason Nintendo gave it lower stats.Yeah, it's a game. That much logic doesn't apply here. In the show, a Weavile's Blizzard is uber strong. In the game, it's weak as hell. Base stats don't apply in the show, so you cannot try to use basic biology for the game. They gave it those base stats because they did.
- Bulbapedia says it isn't a Legendary: Since when did Bulbapedia create the games or the characters? And the encyclopedia says that the Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration. Does that mean the encyclodedia was there?!?!?! Nope, it is infomation
- Not a Legend because it lives in a TV: Since when does that have anything to do with it?Agreed.
- Not a Legend because it can breed: The argument about Manaphy is a strong one. However, as stated, Manaphy produces Phione, Rotom produces Rotom. This could be because it's easy to capture Rotom and Nintendo doesn't care if you reproduce yours and pass them out to friends. But, it can be hard to get every other Legend and Nintendo wants people to actually put forth the effort, instead of getting one from a friend so you don't have to do anything. That doesn't prove whether or not it's a legend. Hell, it's hard for me to get my hands on a Weedle, simply because Ido not own FireRed.
- Is a Legend because it's grouped with the Legends: So were the Tyranitar and Dragonite families.Bingo
- Not a Legend because everyone has one: It could be that it's easy to track Rotom, just follow the electronic destruction. Other Legends aren't as easy to track.TOO MUCH LOGACK!!!! You can track Cressila with a cheap wristwatch...
