Can a Nitendo DS be compatible with a WPA signal? And if so how do you connect it?
And how much does the DSi cost? :/Only the DSi can connect to a WPA secured network. The original DS and the DS Lite can only connect to WEP or open networks.
It retails for $170, plus tax of course. And how much does the DSi cost? :/
Ok, thanks :] I'll get it for my Bday then.It retails for $170, plus tax of course.
The game being played has nothing to do with the encryption on the network.Just remember that most of the games out now still use WEP. I hate that.

No, this really isn't true. Take Pokemon, stick it in a DSi connected to a router secured with WPA, and you will still be able to connect. The only reason WEP (or open) would be required for online play is if your particular model of DS cannot connect to the WPA secured network the OP wants.
The encryption itself, no. But, if you want to play games on WiFi, Pokemon included, you'll need a WEP router.
So I'm pretty sure the game does have an affect depending on the encryption setting.
