RPGquest [PG-16]

In a secluded part of the kingdom a young girl was raised in a very sheltered environment along with several other children who showed the same powers as her. Lyra Daniels had been taken from her parents shortly after she was born due to signs that she was a mage and was taken to the secluded Mage Training grounds. By the age of six she was being trained as a White Mage specializing in healing. After training for years Lyra managed to become a very successful mage not fond of fighting and very shy due to being the youngest and smallest none of the other kids wanted anything to do with her. By her 16th birthday a messenger arrived with a letter for her.

Dear Lyra Daniels,

You are requested to join with three other adventurers, on a quest to save our land from an unknown Tyrant, who simply goes by the name, "Unknown". The other three at your table, which will be assigned to you immediately, will join you in a four-person team, and your team will journey across the islands, gathering the eight shards, of the four towers. The first is on our island here, far off north from the kingdom. The second is an island north-east from ours, which is known for it's amusement parks, circus, and other joyful occurrences. But do not be fooled. There is an underground society of thieves and muggers, who have taken the shards, and will probably not return them without a fight. The second island, directly south of the "Carnival" island previously stated, is known as "Battlegrounds Island" for it's huge landmark; An arena. You will likely have to fight in countless competitions and become champion to receive the shards there. The third island, west, is known as "Animal Jungle Island". The reason for this is because the island is mysterious; People have been said to find their true animal instincts there. The final destination, after you each have a shard of power, each party of four taking one shard from each tower. The crystal will give the adventurer it chooses power. Whoever it picks will hold on to the shard and use it's power. Your final destination is the Island of Shadows, where Unknown awaits, attempting his takeover of the land of Jiyu. We know nothing of this island, only that it is located the farthest east. Good luck, and may the Almighty be with you.

~Sincerely, King of the Island of Kaishi.

After getting permission from the Elders at the training grounds Lyra set out for the castle. Upon arriving Lyra was lead to a room with a boy with jet black hair. Looking shyly at him she sat down at the table and waited for him to speak.

((We started! Yay! :D))

Rei's boots crunched in the snow as she headed back to her village. It was far up north, and covered with snow. And it was cold. She pulled the parka tighter together as she entered the village and smiled as some of her neighbors waved at her. " 'ey! How are you, Mr. Miun?"

"Just fine, Rei, and you?" He called back, looking up from inspecting his mail. Mr. Miun was standing in front of her cabin near the center of the square. He pulled out an envelope. "You've gotten some sort of a letter. It's been stamped with the royal seal to boot." The mailman grinned at her and headed off to deliver mail to the rest of the town.

Rei grinned back as she walked into the cabin. It was warm and fuzzy as always, with a fire burning in the fireplace. It was a must in this snowy region to keep warm, and Rei always remembered that. She was one of the few mages that kept the towns safe from danger with her command over the element of ice. Rei's powers were discovered when she was sent to an orphanage after her parents had died in a rockslide while out getting supplies. After that, an elderly mage trained her in the way of magic, and Rei became an ice mage in the service of the Guardians. She was well-liked by the townspeople, and often helped out some times with the festivals by using her powers to create giant statues of animals.

At this moment, Rei was relaxing in a chair with a cup of hot chocolate as she opened the letter. It came out, and the mage quickly read the letter.

"Dear Rei Hunire,

You are requested to join with three other adventurers, on a quest to save our land from an unknown Tyrant, who simply goes by the name, "Unknown". The other three at your table, which will be assigned to you immediately, will join you in a four-person team, and your team will journey across the islands, gathering the eight shards, of the four towers. After she finished, her mind was reeling. "I've been... asked to join a team? Interesting... but who's this Almighty?" Rei wondered out loud as she took a sip from her cup of hot chocolate. "Eh. Whatever. I should probably pack?" A glance around the room told her that it was pretty sparse. "Just a bag then."

Rei finished off her cup of coffee, and packed up all her stuff, including a basic rifle, and some food and books. She headed outside, and stood in the very center of the town. "I'm going to... uh... Kaishi! This is at the request of its ruler. So... I'm leaving. You'll probably get another Guardian soon." Rei cheerfully said as the townspeople gathered. They muttered amongst each other, and Rei took this as an opportunity to slip away. She was now outside of the village, and ready to go to Kaishi. If she could get there, that is.

Travis Ends grew up with no parents. They died while he was very young. He was sent to an orphanage at a young age, where he tried to avoid contact with others. He never liked large gatherings, or being in groups. He was a lone wolf, for as long as he could remember he was one. Travis didn't get along with the others kids, often because he spoke his mind whenever he felt like it. However, one day, Travis had had it with the orphanage. If there was a hell, he thought very much that that might have been it. For days he wandered aimlessly through streets, until he was picked up by a strange wanderer. This man, later now known by Travis simply as Sensei, raised Travis as if he was his own son, and trained him as if he was his star pupil, which in this case, he was. Travis was a master with the bow, and he and his Master lived peacefully for many years together. Sensei taught him respect, honor, but also taught him that trust shouldn't be given to anyone, or received by anyone for that matter. In all his sessions, he never liked being in groups, and to this day doesn't. One day, after he was hunting with his Master, he returned to their home to find a note on the table, reading:

Dear Travis Ends,
You are requested to join with three other adventurers, on a quest to save our land from an unknown Tyrant, who simply goes by the name, "Unknown". The other three at your table, which will be assigned to you immediately, will join you in a four-person team, and your team will journey across the islands, gathering the eight shards, of the four towers. Travis looked oddly at the note. He was happy he had gotten a reputation, but also upset that he would be traveling in a group.

"Perhaps I should pass on this."

His Sensei quickly rebuked, "No, Travis, this is too important to not go to. You will go. You should be honored, if the King is requesting your help personally!"

Travis replied softly, "...Yes, Master." Travis was actually quite humbled to be requested into this team, as far as he knew he was probably the greatest archer around. Travis quickly packed his essentials, said his goodbyes to his Sensei, and proceeded to leave left. His Sensei gave him a parting give of a third bow, along with his other two. It was the bow Sensei always used, the Master Bow. Travis bowed to him, then left. He arrived soon after to his destination, and sat in a table with already two other people sitting. One had spikey black hair, the other was a girl with red hair put in a strange style. Although he didn't like the fact he was in a group with them, mostly because he felt they would probably do nothing but slow them down, he felt he shouldn't start on their bad side, unless they were completely useless, he thought to himself. He politely nodded to the other two at the table, but didn't smile.

(Team 1 is now able to talk to each other and eat! :D Team 2, you're only waiting on Aura.Lucario now :) )

Silver glanced up from his strange sitting position, the bottom half of his face hidden by his knees. He looked at the three now in his group. A mage of ice, a warrior, and...

Silver distractedly knocked over his sugar cube stack when he saw the archer girl. She was beautiful. Astoundingly beautiful. He hid his face behind his legs even more, and his bright silver wings twitched with embarrassment, but humans didn't have wings, so they wouldn't know why the wings had done that. He had his first crush, but he tried to make sure she had no clue. Shyness was unusual for a rogue, let alone a ninja, but he surely had it. He pulled his tea behind his legs with him, and he sipped from it quietly, looking around at his team, dead silent like he usually was, his light amethyst purple eyes barely showing.

Miharu blinked slightly as she noticed the wings moved. That must mean that the wings were real...When she was at the temple, she had heard rumors about angels falling from the skies in order to help the humans on the Earth. Perhaps this man was one of them. She also noticed that he blushed slightly when he glanced at the other girl. It seemed that Angel-san had a crush.

She glanced at the other table and saw that three were there; one was missing. Her table, however, was already full. Perhaps they should introduce each other, but she was not one to start a conversation. So, she continued on meditating.

((Hahah... except for one problem. Rei isn't at the castle yet. >_>'))

Rei finally arrived at the castle on foot after a bit of walking and taking boat trips across the river. "Ugh! Finally! I'm here!" She huffed, a bit queasy from the boat trips. It wasn't a harsh trip, but it was out of Rei's comfort zone for sure. She strode into the castle, and was directed to a large hall with a table in it. There were three people seated at the table, and she quickly took the only open chair at one end of the table. A plate was in front of her, and Rei studied it a bit, unwilling to glance at the others at the table around her.

Finally, she got the courage to speak. "So... um... you're all here because of this letter, right? I'm Rei by the way. An... ice mage, I should say." The mage flicked a nail against the plate, unsettled by the fact that no one was really saying anything. "So... who are you?"

Miharu felt slightly amused at the way that the ice mage had introduced herself and the way she acted. It was slightly obvious that she was nervous around the others, especially since she kept on glancing at the table and trying not to make contact with anyone. However, Miharu could feel that she was pretty strong, no matter what her people's skills were. Well, pot meet kettle anyways. It was not like she had people skills anyways.

"My name is Miharu Mizushima and I also have the ice element." The temple had made sure that each of them knew their elements and animal spirits. She was one of the lucky ones with enough power to have both. "I am a warrior monk from the Bishamon Temple."

Perhaps this would suffice enough in order to still Rei's nervousness. It was quite painful to look at.

Lucifer was walking in the forest aimlessly as his hands were placed right outside his scabbards. He glanced around, alert, in case someone was after him. It was an occupational hazzard, assassins were a little worried of being hunted down themselves. His frost daggers were still in their scabbards, but their blue glow could still be seen. He saw a big red apple on a tree, and his stomach rumbled. He had no parents to take care of him, so he had to take care of himself. He grabbed the right dagger and threw it towards the tree, straight through the apple and watched as it fell. He picked up the apple, with the dagger still in it, and sliced it into two with ease. He bit the apple and carried on. The frost in the daggers made the apple cold and fresh, pretty refreshing.

After a stroll in the forest he returned to his hideout he built, he noticed a small note on his wooden table. He picked it up, curious and started to read the little note. To his surprise it was from the king of Kaishi.

Lucifer frowned and looked at the note again, to see if it's real. It was real, and it made him frown even more. He was an assassin, and lives by collecting bounty. Why would the King want him? His parents died when he was six, and they didn't even leave anything for him. They were poor enough. His father gave him the frost daggers before he died as a gift, because they died on his birthday, and to tell you the truth, they were assassinated...by their own kind. Yes, the assassin business runs in the family, and apparently the King had a big task for him. He folded the note and ran towards the Castle, eager and excited. When he arrived, a guard led him into a room, with three other guys, none was familiar. He said down quietly, glancing from one to another and waited for someone to break the silence.

Jeison looked at his team. Now assembled he stood up and looked at the group. He looked at everyone stopped at the Mage then continued. He stopped at the assassin. He looked over the team again then finally said, "My name is Jeison Fiinikkuso. You can call me Jei or Jeison for that matter. I'm an expert with swords and axes." Jeison would of continued to say more but he couldn't think straight as his eyes kept darting towards the Mage. He tried to move his face in other directions but it was clear who he starred at. He then got up and picked up the rag and brutally rubbed his scarred eye. It started bleeding while he talked. He looked over the team again. "Nice to meet the lot of you. I suppose your all here because of the note and a quest you have requested am I right? To tell you the truth. I cam home to a murdered family and burnt down house. None of them had any fighting experience so I have no clue why they were targeted. But I'm looking for their murderer. Any of you got anything to say about who you are and why your here?" Jeison said to them. His eyes darted back to the Mage one last time before focusing on the whole group.

Lyra listened to Jei speak noting that he kept glancing back at her. Once he was done talking she stood. "Nice to meet you Jei. My name is Lyra Daniels and I'm a white mage specializing in water magic and healing" she paused looking at the tohers blushing slightly when she looked at Jei noticing a wound on his face. "I'm here to find my parents and because of that note. Also Jei if you'd like I can heal the wound on your face. It will scar but stop bleeding"

Lucifer listened to them, and also noticed Jeison glancing at the white mage all the time. Indeed she was rather dazzling, so Lucifer smiled, but they couldn't see him because of his hood. Seeing that it was his turn, he stood up and pulled back his hood, facing the others.

"As for me, I have no goal, or purpose." Lucifer stated out, "I am an orphan, and I travel, collecting bounty as a living. Apparently the King wants me here, and the journey sounds fun and challenging, so here I am. I am only here for the money and the rewards."

Lucifer was about to sit down but he forgot something, "My name is Lucifer Black. I'm an assassin, and I specialize in ice."

Travis watch as each one of them introduced themselves. He was reluctant at first, so he was silent as they all introduced themselves. They were all interesting characters, but just from their appearance he'd have to say they looked pretty weak, except for the one who called himself an assassin, he could tell that one was tough. Travis finally spoke.

"...I'm Travis." Was all he said. He didn't really feel up for talking much to them. He had nothing important to say to them, and wondered why they said such personal things to strangers.

(I'm wearing armor that weighs about 250 pounds and Aura.Lucario is going light. I'm pretty sure I'm not weak. Lol.)
Jeison looked at Lyra, Lucifer, and Travis. "It's great to meet you all." Jeison said looking at them all then walking out the door as if looking for something. He was hungry and most of the bread was gone. He found a chef and asked him for more food. The chef brought in a couple baskets of bread and cups. He then brought in some tea. Jeison looked down at the meal then took a seat. "As for healing my Scar I've been pretty good handling it myself for the past 2 months." And as if reading Travis's thought's, "The reason I'm sharing this is because if were a team we will need to get to know each other better. Isn't that what teams all about or did I miss something in combat school? Anyways it looks that I didn't finish. I'm a Darkness warrior. Thats about it. Oh and I'm 17. No need to not share age." Jeison said in a long sentence taking a couple breaths in between. He began to drink some tea and nearly broke the cup the way he was holding it. He then took a couple loafs of break and chewed quietly.

Silver listened to what little conversation was at his table. He fished his tea, placing the cup on the table so gently, it made no sound. He sat upright, allowing his face to be seen, as he looked down into his locket, and he just looked into it, the contents unknown, but it was clear by the way he held it so close that was one of the most important things he had. He closed it after a few minutes and looked around quietly. His eyes caught into the archer girl's eyes, and he suddenly jerked his head away, his face lighting up a bit as he hid it behind his knees once more. He pulled a few of his knives out and began to polish them. Noticably, he hadn't eaten here. It was unnoticable right now because of his loose clothing, but he looked anorexic. His bones visible, he actually only weighed about eighty pounds. He was a lightweight, with speed his highest stat, but regardless, he was way too thin. With nothing else to do, he glanced at the girl again and looked away instantly, and began stacking sugar cubes into neat little patterns. This boy clearly had a few disorders...

Lyra took a cup of tea and a little bit of bread looking at Jei. "Okay...but if you ever change you mind Jei I'll heal it." she said taking sip of her tea. "I agree with sharing things...though I'm not used to it. I'm sixteen and was very...well...ignored growing up" she said taking a bite of her bread. For some reason she couldn't stop glancing at Jei but was to shy to make it obvious. Looking at the others at the table for a moment she couldn't help but notice she was the only girl and that made her feel more shy before she looked back at Jei.

Lucifer grinned as the beautiful white mage looked at Jei. It was rather obvious that those two had something going on, and he could tell since he had a lot of life experience from his quests and missions. But Lucifer was silent for now and said nothing. It didn't matter, those two were attracted to each other and they knew it. Cupid sure was weird, appearing in strange occations.

"I'm Sixteen, almost Seventeen now." Lucifer told them all quietly, "And I specialise in speed too, so I am pretty fast."

Miharu couldn't help but chuckle slightly. Crushes were already flying left and right, one from this table and others from the next. It was cute. However, if they were going to get their crushes in the way of completely the mission...perhaps they should be stopped. Eh, she'll let this go until it became a problem. She could even...push them together if need be.

"Should we finish Table 2's example and finish introducing ourselves?" asked Miharu, glancing at Angel-san and the other teenager. "Of couse, we do not really have to state our whole life stories."

Although, she almost did. The Bishamon Temple was all Miharu had really known up untill seventeen. If she closed her eyes, she could see every monk-in-training go through all of the training they had to do. She wished she could have stayed longer, or at least help the students there, but the High Master had told her to go back to her village. One could only leave the temple if they beat the High Master, so many people stayed there until they died. Even if they were really old, they would still train. However, the High Master's argument was that many people may not take to kindly to be taught to by a seventeen year old girl. However, in a rarity, the High Master told her that she could come back whenever she felt that her skills were starting to dull. It was a give away, of course.

Monks from the Bishamon Temple never had their skills dulled. Only sharpened and refined.

So, she vowed to herself to come back one week for a year. However, it seemed that she may not have that chance since she would be on this mission. Who knew how long it would take?

She scowled inwardly. If there something that left a bad taste in her mouth, it was needless killing, missed training and breaking a vow.

Aqua looked at the boy with wings. He seemed so....cool,acording to Julie's thoughts. She smiled at him shyly then looked down and ate a few grapes.

"Again, who are you guys?"Aqua asked, not as strict this time."I'm Aqua.

Aqua lifted her head and looked at the boy with wings again. She seemed to have a crush on him,she had had mini crushes before, but nothing like this.

(lol Michaela, you're going to push them together? I'm curious on how you plan to do it, but go for it! XD They probably won't get together by themselves because of shyness...)

Silver avoided everyone's gaze, but still hadn't introduced himself. He stacked the suger cubes lightning-quick, and they formed the word "SILVER". He looked down, twiddling with his fingers, but saying nothing. He pulled one of his wings froward and began to pick at it quietly.

Miharu blinked at the way in which case Angel-san, no Silver, stated his name. It didn't really matter, they were all now fully introduced.

"If all Silver-san is going to do is talk in sugar cubes, we will have much difficulties on the road," stated Miharu dryly, although it was a joke.

She could see that Aqua and Silver both had crushes for each other. She sighed inwardly. From what she could tell, they were both shy, way too shy to get them together. And as the High Master said, "Love can be brought together by two people, but those in true love are pushed together by fate, or even a helping hand." The High Master then winked at them and pushed two of the warrior monks together so they would kissed. That was hilarious.

Although, Miharu thought that she wouldn't push the two together so they would kiss. Maybe. It would depend on how slow they were going to take. Perhaps she could blow up at them and tell each other how much the other feels about them...? Perhaps.

Maybe this will be fun after all.
