With ORAS right around the corner i really wanted to make a team for it since i was pretty bored with xy ou,it had became p mundane for me and had like 0 motivation for team building etc. After i saw that main ladder had an oras meta in it i was thrilled make a team. the team featuring mega sableye did p well on the ladder and some people i battled individually, seems to beat a lot of things and check even more. i havnt really had time to really get all its weaknesses so making a rmt seemed like the right thing to do.

    Sableye @ Sableite
    Ability: Prankster
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
    Bold Nature
    - Calm mind
    - Recover
    - Dark pulse
    - Will-o-wisp

the mechanics of mega evolving allow me to use a prankster boosted status move while enhancing my defences to take a hit nicely. its amazing defences and typing allows me to take most hits nicely while having a reliable way to recover health. status recover stall helps remove a lot of things that the rest of my team cant, and with scizor, lando, azu to cover its weaknesses to fairy and mega loppuny, mega sableye is all set.

    Scizor @ Choice Band
    Ability: Technician
    EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 212 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - Bullet Punch
    - U-turn
    - Knock Off
    - Superpower

scizor is here to punish every fairy that intends to hurt mega sableye for a ohko after rocks and some common ones without it. speed ev's allow it outspeed some mons whose name i forget and bash them hard.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ruby!

    Mamoswine @ Life Orb
    Ability: Oblivious
    EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Jolly Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - Ice Shard
    - Icicle Spear

i needed a rock setter and oblivious speedy mamo does the job p well. while it sets rocks it also brings in a fearsome offensive presence to the team and scares common leads like garchomp and also helps beat mega mence, or atleast weaken it enough to be revenge killed by landorus.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ruby!

    Thundurus (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Prankster
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Nasty Plot
    - Thunderbolt
    - Hidden Power [Grass]
    - Thunder Wave

Thunder wave, in a speed ridden tier nothing bar sceptile appreciates a twave, esp with prankster. Hp grass over hp ice to beat things that other wise resist tbolt etc.

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ruby!

    Landorus-Therian (M) @ Choice Scarf
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
    Adamant Nature
    - Knock Off
    - Earthquake
    - Stone Edge
    - U-turn

knock off. fast scouting move. late game cleaner. kill stuff if everything fails. hit hard. kill mega sceptile. bird spam check 2. etc

    [PokeCommunity.com] Ruby!

    Azumarill @ Choice Band
    Ability: Huge Power
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
    Adamant Nature
    - Aqua Jet
    - Waterfall
    - Play Rough
    - Superpower

My only answer to greninja, hopefully he doesn't have hp grass, stop dragon spam and helps stop people using outrage. Aqua jet still hits hard.

thats the team, i might have missed a few things here and because i had to rewrite the whole thing due to my beautiful internet. do rate and comment etc! n_n

Sableye wants CM/Recover/Dark Pulse or S-Ball/Wisp with max hp and def imo. What is the point in basing an entire team around sableye with a stall set? :/

Also what do you do when HP Fire mega Venusaur or Rotom-W or Manaphy, Suicune, anything with Scald or status comes in? Id kinda fix that.

Also, Volt Switch and Thunderbolt is beyond redundant on Zapdos.

Seconding what Dark_Azelf said on Zapdos. Drop Volt Switch for Defog, since Scizor tends to get worn down when it switches into hazards.

Maybe things have changed, but I thought Mega Sableye gets Magic Bounce not Prankster?

Mega Sableye does have Magic Bounce as its ability. Prankster is listed as its pre-Mega ability so that it can take advantage of priority-induced status moves before it Mega Evolves.

Yeah I thought sableye needed to do more, never thought of that set tho :|
    Changed.

Manaphy did seem to be a problem.
    Changed to starmie.

    Changed vs to defog.

Sure Starmie can take Scalds but it doesnt really add much to the team.

Every time Breloom comes in something gets crippled by Spore or dies or both. Suicune, Manaphy and even Slowbro still set up all over this team and nothing really beats them 1 vs 1 at all. Rotom-W still does whatever it pleases here. Id really look into a grass type man.

Also every time Latios<dragon> clicks Draco Meteor or Outrage something dies now you have removed Azu. Scizor simply is too defensively unreliable against them, an example.

    252 SpA Life Orb Latios Draco Meteor vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Scizor: 166-196 (48.3 - 57.1%) -- 91.8% chance to 2HKO

With Stealth Rock up that basically kills Scizor and you dont even have max hp evs.

So yeah id look into a grass type/something to take status and beat bulky waters (Celebi works well for this as an example), something to actually switch into Dragons. MegaSaur and other Grass types are still problematic too especially if they use HP Fire which nails Scizor. Also this team is weak to Greninja severely and your only option is to keep foddering your whole team and hope to revenge kill it which obviously isnt going to work if you like winning lol.

Honestly id say the most replaceable members are Mamo, Scizor, Starmie and Zapdos. These slots could be better utilized to patch up the aforementioned issues.

Lastly, if you're supporting a Sableye sweep a fairy lure would be cool too as they are basically the only thing stopping its sweep. Mind you this team also doesnt really like CM MG Clef either so you might want to account better for it than you currently do too as all it has to do is spam Flamethrower (Scizor is your sole answer) and your whole team then gets set up on and annihilated.

Tl;Dr basically this team has a bad defensive structure and needs addressing.

To be honest I see the huge greninja weakness and dragon spam being annoying, I brought azu back since he is one of the only greninja checks I can think that still does other things well. Changed zapdos to nasty plot thundurus, twave yay, also using hp grass instead of ice since everything relevant bar gliscor that hp ice hits is either scarfed or faster plus hp grass lets me take out bulky grass mons or even those physically defensive rotom wash, after a np.
Fairy lure is interesting, does poison jab conk count? But tbh I don't see someone that could do that as well as keep the team going against other oras threats. Mamo is probably my only answer to dd salamence so I think I will keep it. Besides it is probably going to get a lot of set up chances seeing how it gets intimidate and those defences. I am also thinking on changing Mamo from jolly to adamant so shard hits harder but I will see.

Lol, no it doesnt @ bold.

Use HP Flying IMO. HP Grass sucks, it doesnt even hit anything relevant and HP Flying has good neutral coverage, STAB and lures in stuff like Mega Venusaur for Azumarril etc. Also STAB T-Bolt hits Rotom-W harder than HP Grass, Js.

    Yes that counts lol.
