    Are many of you doing this side quest? I will be. I've opened up all 4 rooms and got the 16 items, now I'm just trying to catch all 28 of the unknown :P
     
    There are 4 chambers with puzzles, 2 of the chambers are only accessible through union cave. If you read what the unknown spell on the back room, it gives you hints on what to do.

    The rooms say ESCAPE (so use an escape rope), WATER (use a water stone), HO-OH (have Ho-Oh in the front of your party), and LIGHT (use flash). Each will open up a separate room that contains four items; 16 total.
     
    i got all the rooms open and i got all the items, except one, which you can open with a completed Unknown Record...Im having problems finding Unknown "G" and "R"
     
    Haha I'm close too. As of right now I only need C, F, I, M, N, O, T and U. Then I gotta catch the ! and ? Unknown.
     
    ok i need to ask one thing. when you catch the 28 unown, in the main hall what do you do to the golden tablet at the back. it doesnt let u talk to it or anything???
     
    well its starting to annoy me cuz i have won the game caught all legendaries (non event) and now starting to catch all pokemon. but i really want to finish the ruins of alph bcuz it is really starting to annoy me with the last hall stuff
     
    I got the 28th Unown about a week ago. I got the first 26 earlier but apparently the last ones don't appear until, in addition to getting the first 26, doing all the Crystal Puzzles, which involved having to wait to get Ho-Oh in SoulSilver.
     
    yea i got all 28 but go in the main hall there be a gold tablet at the back... what do you do to it. can u help me out please. ive done everthying else possible to the ruins

    yea ive done the puzzles to get the items as well

    I'll do it once I defeat the E4 of Johto.
     
    Yeah, SoulSilver users get shafted on this quest. They really needed to change the Ho-oh puzzle to Lugia for SS. I found all 26 letter-based unowns, and now I need to wait for Ho-oh so I can get the punctuations (two of each to fill up my "unown" PC Box)
     
    I haven't started to do the sidequest yet, as I'm currently trying to complete the main story. But after I've done the main story in Johto, then I'll probably do the sidequest as it sounds good. Plus you get items with it
     
    oh haven't you guys done the main story yet... i have won the game beat the elite 4 gotten 16 badges then vsed the upgraded elite again. beat red on top of mt silver and trained an unown to lvl 60 while getting money. oh and gotten all legendaries i can get except 4 rayquaza getting that in a few days
     
    Im doing this sidequest however it has been really hard for me because i thought that because each unknown had a word next to it in the record you had to decipher what they said lol.

    And guy above dont boast because i also have done the main storyline but have back to do this.
     
    lol i was just saying cuz 1 of the guys was complaining bout the ho-oh thing... well anyway if u find out about that golden tablet in the room u find the ? and ! unown can u tell me please thx

    o and would u trade me your shaymin and trade back so i got in pokedex please
