ive got 26 unown and ive talked to all the reserchers but nothing new has opened up. what do i do

Done all the puzzles at the back of each room? You have to do those too I think.

The only reason I would do this is to get a Smeargle, how much of it do you have to complete to be able to catch one?

I think you can get a Smeargle without doing the actual Unown portion. Just look around in the grass a bit.

I've gotten 26 Unowns and did the Puzzles. I'll be catching the ! and ? Unown later.

Just to confirm what someone else said and to also chime in, YES, in order to open up the last room to catch the blasted ! and ? UNOWNs, you MUST open up the chamber that requires Ho-Oh.

Why?

Because you need to get access to that 'writing' that is available when you open up the Ho-Oh so you can report it to the researcher who can THEN open up the last room IF you have 26 of the UNOWN.

My guys are at level 30-33 and I'm nowhere near capturing a Ho-Oh so this just stinks.

Clocked in some crazy hours between Pokeathlon, Safari, level grinding, breeding, Voltorb, and who knows what else and was hoping to get the Ruins sidequest done, but nope.

Well, I finally completed it. I still think that SoulSilver users get shafted though. I completed the first 26 Unown in the first 20 hours of playtime, but had to wait until hour 70 to finally be strong enough to get Ho-oh on my team (without a masterball). I thought it was a fun sidequest though.

help with ? ! plz

I got the 28th Unown about a week ago. I got the first 26 earlier but apparently the last ones don't appear until, in addition to getting the first 26, doing all the Crystal Puzzles, which involved having to wait to get Ho-Oh in SoulSilver.

can u help me plz? i have done everything your suppossed to do (catch all 26, do the puzzles, and whatnot) but the tablet in the main chamber will not open, or the researcher wont come in...is there any way you can tell me step by step what you did after you caught the 26 unkown pppplllllzzzzz....thank you for any help
