I posted this in the wrong forum and a mod still hasn't moved it for me so I'll go ahead and post it here.

What do you think about the Steel/Fighting type?

Some people have said it's bad but I think it's awesome.

It has 3 weaknesses (none are 4x), a ton of resistances, and an immunity. The Steel typing will most likely give it a high Defense stat so two of its weaknesses - Fighting and Ground - won't do much. That means Fire will be the only way to take it down. The Fighting half will probably grace it with an amazing Attack stat, making it a great Physical Sweeper. Can you say STAB'd Meteor Mash? Or Focus Punch?

Steel/Fighting is an odd type for a legenary thats for sure. Meteor Mash is logical, but i'm not to content on Focus Punch. Mega Punch or Sky Uppercut seems more suited for this Pokemon.

The thing I think is that Rukario's types do not need a topic about since there is already a topic about all thing of 4th gen.

It's weird... that's all I can say to be honest... Not really much more to it than that, as its not as if its going to be changed or anything.

I always though that he was going to be water/ Dark type!

I love the fact that it's a steel/fighting type - but then again, I'm all for giving new pokemon type combos that haven't been done yet. ^_^ I would've been disappointed if it had been psychic, since I'm not too fond of the psychic type, and something like the dark type would've been...eh, I dunno...

And I've been wondering...since I know people have thought it would be a water/whatever type, or at least have water moves...I know Rukario is the "wave-guiding pokemon", but was there actually any info about it that said the "wave" referred to water waves, or was that just assumed? (Because there's other kinds of waves as well, not just for water, and I haven't been keeping exactly up-to-date with info about Rukario in the next movie...)

The wave part of "Wave Guiding Hero" basically means waves of psychic or dark energy, nothing to do with water I'm afraid. ^^; Well, I got the report for this to be closed, but I think this'll be a nice place for people to discuss what they think on the typ and meaning of Rukario's name. ^-^

Sorry for the duplicate but I posted the other thread in the wrong forum then I asked for a mod to move it. After 1 or 2 days, it didn't happen so I posted a new thread.

Anyway, I agree - I thought it would have been Dark for sure but I'm pleased with the Steel/Fighting type. I think it'll be good and that they will improve upon the Steel movepool in D/P.

I like the type combo, I was certain that it was a dark type though. Meh, the simple fact that it looks badazz is enough for it to become a member of my team XD
by the type combo...I think this Pokemon should b high in physicals.

(this is the second steel type I like :D)

Oh... o.O all these days I thought it was a PSY type. Guess I'm wrong. Oh well. back to Neopets.

and the other ons at the bottom all I like is the Sneasel evo. Wo is that red stuff its fur at the top?

And STL/FTG type is grotesque. o.o High ATK/DFN means LOW speed, possibly like Shukle. But I dont think a BUNNY would be as slow as a rock, even if made of steel. (Is it a bunny?)

Mwar, I was really hoping for another Electric legend, too XD
