Normally it only takes a day or two for a thread to be approved or denied, and if you're curious about what happened to your own thread, you can check out this thread: "Check to see if your roleplay has been accepted v.2"
The Corner is where you can find new RPs to participate in, or post one of your own. Here you will post mostly In Character (IC) and play out your adventures. Both Pokémon and other genres of RPs go here!
Roleplay Lounge
The Lounge is for Out Of Character (OOC) threads connected to the RPs in the Corner. You can make one for your RP, for discussion and to better organize it.
2. Advertising other forums or off-PC RPs is not allowed. Advertising other forums will give you a big red infraction, like anywhere on PC, and your post will be deleted. Posting threads about RPGs that aren't related to forum roleplaying on PC is not appropriate.
3. All RPs must have a rating attached, in the title or visibly inside the first post. This is to prepare players and readers for the content. Use THIS PAGE to choose the appropriate rating for your own RP.
You may rate K / K+ / T / M, but not MA. Any RPs rated MA will be closed on sight. No strong adult themes, even if you rate your RP "M" for other reasons. Use common sense, kids might be reading since this is a Pokémon forum after all.
4. Minimum for in character (IC) posts is 1 nice paragraph = about 4 lines of text on a fluid width skin. This is to keep the Roleplay Corner free of extremely fast paced, spamming RPs where the story is lost into nonsense. Yes, it has happened.
One liners will be deleted on sight, and infractions will be given if you make very short posts repeatedly.
5. Stealing other people's plots is not tolerated. When reporting stolen plots, please include a print screen of the original roleplay, and please make sure that the thief isn't the same person as the creator. Threads accused of being stolen will immediately be closed, and the stolen content removed at once. They will only be reopened if proof that the roleplay is not stolen is presented.
The right of opposition against being accused of a stolen RP belongs to the GM and the GM only. Should they have anything to say, then there is no need for you to help them say it, even if you are a player in the RP.
6. Double posting is ONLY allowed if you are the GM. And even then, ONLY IF 2 days HAVE PASSED since your last post. Otherwise, there really is no need to double post since your thread likely is still on the first page; you should just edit your last post and add the new text.
7. Thread revival: If an RP or OOC thread has been dead for one month or more, only the GM may post in it and by that "revive" it.
If a thread has been dead for two months or more though, nobody may post in it. You'd better make a new RP if you want to revive it.
8. Don't SPAM, just like in the rest of the forum. Which means don't post stupid, pointless, annoying messages in any thread. This also includes making too many OOC posts in an IC thread, as well as talking about things not related to the RP in the OOC thread. Keep OOC posts to the OOC thread and keep your discussion there relevant.
Of course some RPs requires the GM to post OOC stuff in the main thread. That is alright.
9. No script posting or abbreviated speech. Essentially, you may not roleplay in a format that is reminiscent of a play or movie script. For example:
Character 1: Dialogue
Character 2: Dialogue
Character 1: *Action* Dialogue
In other words, we are not roleplaying as if in a play or drama, we are roleplaying as if writing a novel. There will be no asterisks or brackets to symbolize action.
Also, you must use proper English in your IC posts. No abbreviating words like 'two' as '2' or 'you' as 'u', etcetera.
- Creating your plot: Put A LOT of effort into the background of your RP. If you want to be a GM, it usually takes some energy to keep a good RP running. But don't be afraid now. You should always try new things if you feel like it. When creating your plot, make sure to try and see yourself in the position of a player; is this really a cool setting? Do I need more info on the mechanics or canon of the RP? Do I have a goal?
- Character Control: You cannot take complete control of another person's character without permission. Different GMs have different outlooks and opinions on Character Control, which is also commonly known as "Powerplaying", "Godmodding", or "Bunnying" and it varies from person to person. Please pay attention to what you do with other member's characters.
- Waiting for an RP to start: Please do not nag the GM on when the RP will start, be patient as the GM may not be online or may not want to come online at any particular moment. Posting things like "Can't we start now?" or "When will this RP start?!!" is rude and doesn't speed things up at all.
- Attacking Other Role Players: At times you may find yourself in battle against another player. It's common courtesy to launch and describe your attack (no matter if it's pokémon or something else), but not to write about it hitting the opponent player. It's up to the opponent to decide what happens, to avoid bunnying. The opponent shouldn't be able to evade every attack though; that's another form of powerplaying.

A role-playing game (roleplay or RP) here is a game in which players assume the roles of characters of their own creation, in a fictional setting made by the Game Master (GM). Players take responsibility for acting out these roles within frames, rules and backgrounds set up for the game, either through literal acting or through a process of structured decision-making or character development.
Why doesn't my new thread show up?
Because in this forum, new threads have to be manually approved by the moderator before they are visible to all members. This is to prevent spam, irrelevant threads or low quality RPs from being released. It's the method of keeping the forum tidy with the least headache, so please bare with it.Normally it only takes a day or two for a thread to be approved or denied, and if you're curious about what happened to your own thread, you can check out this thread: "Check to see if your roleplay has been accepted v.2"

Rules to be followed without exception
1. All RPs need a decent plot. Your roleplay will only be accepted by the mod if it has an actual plot that the players can build their stories on. A plot isn't a single line or even a tiny paragraph. You need to explain the world and the circumstances behind the story.2. Advertising other forums or off-PC RPs is not allowed. Helpful hints for roleplaying
- Creating your character: Put effort into your character! You are going to be playing as him or her for a while if you sign up for an RP. Make it interesting and don't be afraid to try new things or make a slightly weird character. The last thing we want is a RP full of Mary Sues.- Creating your plot: Put A LOT of effort into the background of your RP. If you want to be a GM, it usually takes some energy to keep a good RP running. But don't be afraid now. You should always try new things if you feel like it. Moderators
Currently, the forum is modded by Skymin. If there is anything you wonder about roleplaying on PC, feel free to VM or PM.In case of emergency, you may contact parallelzero, but only if it's really an emergency.
If any part of the rules is unclear and you think others could benefit from hearing it as well,
you may ask questions directly in this thread.
(stickied threads can't die)
No spamming ("yay, new rules" or "Hi RHCP, you missed a letter" or anything like that) though.
Have fun roleplaying!
