Let's just check back a little on the Kanto gym leaders, and which ones were ruined:
Brock- can't say, the game gave little info on his personality
Misty- her game personality was definitely more mature, she was on a date in Gold/Silver
Lt. Surge- actually pretty accurate
Erika- they got her right in being kind, but I would expect her to be more shy
Koga- accurate
Sabrina- accurate
Blaine- accurate
Giovanni- accurate

So they didn't do too badly in Kanto, which is why it was good that Sabrina was a Kanto gym leader. That being said, would we be Sabrina fans if she was a second- or third-generation gym leader? Not as likely, given the fact that the anime went downhill (or "jumped the shark") after the Indigo season. So we should be really glad that she was introduced in the first generation, and not afterward.

Yeah, I think we should be happy that she's a Kanto gym leader. Now that I think about it, some of the Hoenn gym leaders didn't keep their personalities as well (Tate&Liza...;_;). If she were as stall as some of them...no, I wouldn't be a fan today. (Although I think I'm a fan of a few 'out of character' characters...-are Lucian and Cynthia ooc? XD Never played D/P.)
 
I think I wouldn't be a fan of Sabrina if she wasn't a Kanto leader... Maybe if she was a Sinnoh leader, since so far they haven't been ripped to shreds.
 
^ I think that's because we've only seen four (?) of them so far. They can still be crushed. >> Or maybe they are already....

...Sinnoh?...SHIRONA!!! (joke for Zammy) 0=)
 
In Germany, only the first two gym battles have been shown so far. And I've only seen one, but I have the other one recorded on video, just too lazy to looks at it. XD I still know a bit about Gardenia's personality (I have to, she's in one of my fanfics).

BTW, Alakazam, Soi Fon is awesome, and so is Yoruichi, but not together. The correct pairing is Urahara x Yoruichi.

And how we went to Hoenn people is explained easily. We discussed the differences between their game and anime personalities, just like we started it with Kanto. ^^

I agree that Soifon is awesome, though I believe that their moments together are awesome as well. Sorries, XD.

Will is no bad guy. Even when he's bad, he's still good. Understood? XD

Semi-Public announcement: As university is starting for me next week ...*dance*, I fear that I might not be able to be online every day, especially on Mondays (Lectures from 8 am till 8 pm x.x). ...yeah, just to inform you. XD
 
I happen to love evil characters... Which is why I loved it when Sabrina was in Team Rocket xD.
 
In the manga, she was in TR. Which was why I loved her so much xD. Evil Sabrina= WIN.
