Naru heard Vincent and looked out her doorway. Malon nodded and ran with her cats and Naru to the basement of Naru's apartment. Kiki walked out of the room.
"We're going outside during a lightning storm?" Kiki said worriedly knowing the answer would be yes.
/He's insane! We'll be killed!/ Kiki thought.

"How better to prove that my speed is absolute?" Vincent simply asked, kneeling and setting his skates to their greatest speed.

"If the lightning can catch us, then we deserve to be caught. Besides, perhaps I can earn your trust back this way," he added, lowering his eyes for a moment.

"Hop on. We're going to race against the lightning!"

Kiki wasn't sure but nodded and hopped on anyway.

{Kiki's Mind!}
"Deserve to be caught? Oh my gosh what is he a nut job?" intel screamed watching the eye cam.
"No. He's just persistant." Trust said sneaking up behind her.
"Ah!" Intel whirled wround, "Oh Trust it's you. How are ya?"
"I'm okay. How long was I stuck in my room?"
"I dunno."

"I'm no 'nut job,' Intel," Vincent said, somehow hearing her whenever she screamed at the top of her lungs. He didn't understand it, either.

"I'll tell you what I'll do," he said, smirking. "Intel, if you die of fright, I'll pay the funeral bills. Deal?" He didn't wait for Intel's answer. He calmly opened the door and set his skates to their greatest speed. Tonight he'd set a new record for the fastest thing alive. He then got an idea.

Pulling out his cell phone, Vincent called Kiki's home. When Kiki's mother answered, he'd say, "Hey, it's Vincent. I thought I'd raise the stakes a bit. There's going to be a lightning storm directly in our path, as I'm sure you already know if you've been watching the news. The greatest lightning storm Japan has ever seen.

Kiki told me that dinner was at 6:35. If we make it at 6:34 or earlier, then you have to make all of Kiki's favorite foods. If I fail, then I'll pay all of your bills in full for the next month and sleep outside tonight." He then hung up.

"Oops," he said, laughing. "It would seem that the lightning storm is interfering with my cell phone's connection. Hey, Kiki, I'm willing to bet that you at least wish you could do that sometimes." Laughing, Vincent sped off at an insane speed. By the time they were out of Japan, a trail of flames was chasing after them!

The lightning struck randomly, but as Vincent and Kiki were in the middle of the storm, they had everything to worry about. Vincent had to do all kinds of dodging and evading just to make sure they barely missed the bolt of power from the sky.

"The lightning must really hate me," Vincent said. He had this incredible grin on his face.

He was having the time of his life!

SOMEBODY STOP THE RIDE!! I WANNA GET OFF!!!

What's the matter, Sailor Pluto?! Afraid of speed?! Ha ha ha ha ha!!

I THINK I'M GOING TO THROW UP!!!

Good luck with that!

((This is the music for the trip out of Japan, then just play Revvin' Up again.))

"Nice try smart one. Mental figments don't die that easily." Intel said. Sailor Moon and Kiki were in there room enjoying the ride.
"Weeee!" Sailor Moon screamed. It seemed like only they could feel it though.

Kiki listened to the phone conversation.
"You know if you win she'll have to remake dinner. Tonight's spaguetti night. We have the noodles and such imported. It's okay but I've always prefered sushi and onigiri." she rambled.

Vincent mimicked the best insane laugh he could muster, and he was really good at it. The lightning struck left, right, and all around, but just couldn't hit Vincent's artful dodgy goodness.

Then the nightmare bolt struck, directly ahead. Vincent would rush right into it. Kiki should notice an insane grin on his face just before he drew his sword and batted the lightning away. "YAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA, WIPE OUT!!!" he yelled at the lightning bolt he just deflected. "EAT MY GLOW-IN-THE-DARK DUST, YOU CHEAP EXCUSE FOR A LIGHT BULB!!!! MWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!"

They suddenly went over a cliff. "Oh, no, there's no more ground!" Vincent said playfully. "Oh, whatever shall I do?! All is lost! All is lost! Waaahhh!! Waaaaaaahhh!! Wahhhh-ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! EAT THIS!!" Laughing like a maniac, Vincent drew his other sword, connected them to make the dual-blade, and spun it like helicopter blades, altering their trajectory just enough to dodge one more lightning bolt, and with Vincent still laughing his insane laugh, he dived right into an open window in Kiki's house, skidded to a halt in front of her mother at exactly 6:34, and pointed at Kiki's mother.

"BWA HA HA HA HA HEE HEE HEE!!!! I WI-IN!! I WI-IN!!"

Yep. Vincent was definately having fun, all right. He could not stop laughing.

Kiki jumped off of Vincents back and kissed the ground. Kiki's mother stood with her mouth wide open the dish of spaguetti in her hands. SHe blinked a few times before putting the spaguetti in the oven and pullin gout th things she'd need to make Onigiri and Sushi. She have it done within the hour. Kiki walked to her room to find it completely unpacked. Posters of her favorite anime character hung on the walls.

Vincent finally composed himself and said, "Hey, I'll eat the spaghetti if you aren't saving it." After eating the spaghetti just as fast as he can skate, Vincent thanked Kiki's mother for both the food and the bet, then bounded up to Kiki's room.

"Sorry if I scrambled your brains with that fast of a trip, Kiki," Vincent said, smiling at her. "How much do you trust me now, after taking you safely through a lightning storm?"

At that very moment, a lightning bolt shot through the open window at Kiki, and Vincent managed to block it with his sword. Then the storm blew over. "Okay.... How much do you trust me now?"

"I trust you. But there are many kinds of trust Vincent." She smiled before turning back to look at one large poster of a half dog demon boy with long silvery hair and a scowl on his face. Just then her mom called her to eat. Kiki did then came back a few minutes later an extra riceball in her left hand.

"I guess I just don't understand this whole love thing," Vincent commented sadly when he heard her come back in. His back was to her. "It's so new, it turned my life upside-down. How do I impress you? How do I get you to fall in love with me? I just don't understand any of it...."

He sighed and sat down on the floor, hanging his head. "Love is more difficult than I thought...."

"Love is also very fickle. You have to find just the right person that not only are you happy with but's happy being with you. Love cannot also be forced. It takes much time. I'm just a teenager. I don't think I'm ready for love. Not real love anyway." she stated feeling as though she just spoke in riddles.
"If, of course that makes any sense."

"Time doesn't matter to me," Vincent said. "I was speaking quite literally when I said that I was immortal. My only worry is that you might not fall in love with me at all, and because of that hypnotic suggestion I put in your head, that would mean living through life without being able to love at all. I understand what you said perfectly. I only hope that I didn't cause a disaster...."

It was in this moment that Vincent fully understood the gravity of what he did to Kiki.

"I am truly sorry.... What can I do to earn your trust back? I do not yet have the power to reverse time itself."

"Just learn to be yourself and focus on all of the world. Not just one part of it. You stick life and so much more on just one thing. Broaden your horizens and try to find the good in everything." Kiki stated after finishing the riceball, "And there's no need to be sorry. It happened, it's over. Dwelling on the past will only lead to to never find a brighter future." she made a small chuckle before looking down a hint of despair in her eyes.
"I sound like my father. Does that make me hypocritical?" she asked herself.

"No, it doesn't make you sound hypocritical," Vincent reassured her. "You're absolutely right." He smiled at her. It was the kind of warm, kind smile that he rarely ever gave, the kind that wiped out any despair.

"Truly you are a shining beacon of hope for this world, Kiki. You changed even my life for the better, and that's much more difficult to do than moving a mountain with only your bare hands. Thank you."

He bowed, as one would to a princess, then stood and asked, "Where do you think Luna is?"

"Porbobly still with Alan. Honestly they shouldn't have been out this long." Kiki stated smiling. Just then the doorbell rang. Kiki answered the door to find Haru standing there.
"Hey. Does this cat belong to you?" he asked not really interested. He was holding Luna.
"Yes." Kiki said with a smile.
"Here take her. See ya miss Plum!" he began to depart after he had handed Luna to Kiki.
"Is that a crack on my hair color?" Kiki said scowling.
"Yup. Reminds me of plums." he gives a sarcastic smile before Kiki slams the door.

Vincent shut his eyes and started to clear his head while Kiki was away. He truly was sorry for what he did, but the prophecy didn't exactly give him a choice. If Kiki fell in love with someone other than him, he'd become the dark destruction god that was foretold. As long as she viewed him solely as her friend, and not as someone she loves, Vincent would feel lonely and depressed. He wondered why he was chosen to be Sailor Pluto when he was alive before her. Being immortal, he was born, but he would never die. If he could, he'd make Kiki immortal, so that he wouldn't have to bear the pain of her death. Realizing what he just thought, Vincent tried to come up with a way to make Kiki immortal in his head.

What if I amassed enough power to become a sort of Super Sailor Soldier? Princess Serenity essentially did that when Usagi was Sailor Moon.

Just as my life was taken because I stopped time, your life would be taken by making a person immortal. That's for the--

I embody Chaos, Trista. Not even the Timelord can stand against me. I outrank him. I just hold back most of my power to be fair to everyone else.

Wow.... Is that why you're truly immortal?

Yes.

Amazing....

Still, for all my power, I can't solve this love problem. I could entrance Kiki again and put a suggestion in her head that she'd be attracted to me, as far as love goes, but I've already betrayed her trust once like that. I won't do it again without her consent.

"Who does he think he is. 'Miss Plum' Oooh! I hope I never have to see him again that jerk!" Kiki yelled. Luna was surprised.
"Oh come now Kiki I don't particularly like him either but it's just a joke."
"I don't care! I take great pride in my violet locks." she crossed her arms and glared at the door.
"Oh please. You're worse than Serena."
"I am not."

"Kiki is correct, Luna," Vincent said softly, his eyes still closed. There was a faint purplish aura about him. "She is no better or worse than the original Sailor Moon. She is, in fact, the same. It might interest you to know that Endymion and Haru are one and the same in this life."

Vincent stood and looked in Haru's direction. "I have the ability to see into another person's soul. This is how I know that the one once called 'Tuxedo Mask' lives within him." He then turned to Luna. "We must be cautious. The reappearance of the Sailor Soldiers foretells the repetition of the Great Calamity, when Princess Serenty destroyed the world because of her pain from Endymion's death. Usagi was able to avert the Great Calamity the second time around. If I'm right about history repeating itself, then it's now up to Kiki and I."

"Who's Tuxedo Masque?" Kiki questioned. Luna jumped onto Vincent's shoulder.
"You may want to let her figure things out on her own." she whispered in her catty tone.
"Never mind." Kiki said, "I don't care who he is he's a stone cold jerk. Noone makes fun of my hair color and gets away with it." she glared at the door again. Haru was on his way home a smile on his face.

"What a temper mental little girl. It's funny though, we've never met and yet still she has this familiar...essence. Oh well. I'll probobly never see her again." he shrugged continuing on.

"That may be, but it's likely that Usagi knew him right off. Haru noticed that Kiki seemed familiar to him already. I think it's better that they both know sooner rather than later. If they find out on their own, the Calamity could be repeated at a sooner date," Vincent countered. There was no anger in his voice, though.

What do you think?

I don't know. It could go either way, no matter when they find out.

"Trista thinks that it could go either way, regardless of when Kiki and Haru find out about their past lives," Vincent informed Luna. "If they know about themselves sooner, then it's possible that Kiki and Haru could avoid one another, especially since Kiki hates him already. True, Usagi wouldn't like that, but I can fix that without trancework."
