So my friend and I are trying to make a doubles team...specifically for the battle maison however I do want it to be a viable party for Wi-Fi battles. We were thinking of using our favourite pokemon which in his case is salamence and in my case I can't choose between mega mawile, and wevile. I just don't know what would go well with salamence... What builds would you use for him and what pokemon synergize with him.
Edit: ninetails is my absolute favourite but people seem to not like her :(

Salamence generally likes having partners that can deal with Fairies since it struggles terribly against them. Mega Mawile is good for that since it wrecks most opposing Fairies, and its sheer power will smash aside a lot of the bulky pokes the Maison will throw at you.

    -Mawile w/Mawilite
    Nature: Adamant
Ability: Intimidate/Hyper Cutter (depending on if you want to weaken physical attackers at the start of battle or avoid getting Intimidated yourself)
    EVs: 252 HP, 252 Attack, 4 Sp.Defense
Moves: Play Rough, Iron Head, Sucker Punch, Protect

Mence also has that terrible 4x Ice weakness, so something needs to be done about that. Mega Mawile can crush the actual Ice types, but a lot of Water types carry Ice moves as well, and those are the ones you have to watch out for. Rotom-Wash resists both Water and Ice and can fry Water types with its Electric STAB:

    Rotom-Wash @ Sitrus Berry
    EVs: 252 HP / 136 SpA / 120 SpD
    Calm Nature
    - Hydro Pump
    - Thunderbolt
    - Thunder Wave/Will-o-Wisp
    - Protect

As for a set for Salamence, I think that this one would serve you best:

Salamence @ Haban Berry or Life Orb
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Draco Meteor
    - Dragon Pulse
    - Fire Blast
    - Protect

Though maybe you could drop one of the Dragon moves and give it something else. Protect is vital though, so Salamence isn't killed while its teammates take out its checks and counters.

If you're doing doubles competitivly and like Ninetales. Then just use her as a Sun Starter holding a Heat Rock. I'm not very good at building teams and even worse when weather is involved so can't really help you any longer than this. Btw Ninetales would work good with Salamence if you have Fire Blast on it. :)

If you really wanna use Ninetales, Drought can help Fire Blast on Salamence actually pack a real punch; and flash fire can provide an excellent switch in if you use Mega Mawile and sense a fire attack coming.

Other than thaaaaat, ahhhhh - Empoleon can scare fairies, tank ice, and provide fair coverage for the pokemon you have already down. Stacks a few steel types; but you do have salamence to take ground and fighting attacks, and Ninetales to take fire again .

Ninetales is used for one reason only: Drought. Chandelure makes a better Flash Fire abuser because of its better raw power compared to Ninetales.

Outside of the odd Defiant set (which Bisharp does loads better, thanks to better Attack), I don't see much use for Empoleon in doubles. Mega Mawile tanks Ice attacks fine already, if you do go for that. Another alternative is Metagross, which has been used in doubles matches frequently in the past. Excadrill is also an alternative because its spread Earthquake doesn't damage Salamence, though it causes problems for Wash Rotom thanks to Mold Breaker ignoring Levitate. Other Steel alternatives include Bisharp, Escavalier, Scizor, Klefki and Heatran:

    Metagross:
    -Meteor Mash
    -Zen Headbutt/Earthquake
    -Ice Punch
    -Trick

    -Bullet Punch
    -Zen Headbutt/Earthquake/Ice Punch/Explosion
    -Protect
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Spe
    Item: Occa Berry/Normal Gem
    Ability: Clear Body

    Excadrill:
    -Earthquake
    -Iron Head
    -Rock Slide
    -Drill Run
    Nature: Adamant
    EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe
    Item: Choice Scarf
    Ability: Mold Breaker

    Bisharp:
    -Sucker Punch
    -Iron Head
