6th Gen Sales Predictions

Well they've chosen a prime time to release the games, exactly month before Christmas and a prime time for advertisement too. These games will be on many Christmas wish lists for sure, in addition to release day/week sales too.

Yeah, forgot about that. It's going to do amazingly well. If the sales don't match X/Y in the first couple of weeks, by the end of the Christmas season they'll be really high. Omega Ruby and Pokemon Black/2 are going to be on my list :3

I feel that ORAS will sell way more than XY :)


Not knocking XY as a game in its own right, I just think there's more groups of people who would purchase the game:


1) Obviously people who've played the originals and are after Round 2 :)


2) People who haven't played the originals but have heard how super fantastic Hoenn is from their buddies haha :)


3) People who played XY, liked it and want a fresh new 3D Pokémon adventure :)


4) People who have never played Pokémon before, but are attracted by ORAS trailers and buy it out of curiousity (after all, every Pokémon game is a first for someone) :)


I could be completely wrong haha but that's just my two cents :)

That's true, Pokemon Firered was the first Pokemon game that I played extensively (I don't recall for sure if I may have played Blue in the far distant past, I might've as I recall playing a Gen I version of Kanto). So I'm sure OmegaRuby (or AlphaSapphire) will be someone's first Pokemon game they play too :3. Maybe with Z as the first they own :P

I think it will get alot more sales as X and Y introduced alot of newbies into pokémon so now that more people have been won over there will be more game sales

Because its on old favourite for a lot of people, I can see a lot of people returning to the franchise just for OR/AS. I mean, who wouldn't want to play through their childhood again? ^_^;
