Salulations (Do I sound pretentious?)

Now I'm quite flattered.

And my first TCG question, here we go. To answer that, I'm more Unlimited format but I've dabble in Modified and did nicely in Origins 03 with it, but my issue with the Nintendo cards is that A) unless you play super, super cheap you can't win, but B) the card choices for the mechanics (Energy Retrival, Comp Search, even Energy Removal to name a few) lack of decent proxys (as said to the previous parentheized) and go to the point of bordering on the ridicious. And of the other end of the spectrum, the good few trainers are subject to the overobsessive use of Supporters, and that really makes the game a hardship to be original.

Wizards when they dissolved had wonderful game mechanics to make good decks. And proving this TCG adage: even a crappy deck can win. Now? Nothing.

And the fact that Nintendo has disbanded the Unlimited format (I checked the Origins 05 schedule and it was conspiciously missing), rather burns me because that's the reason I play, the variety and something viable to counter the cheap decks, now nothing.

So yeah...I'm mixed. But at least it was a good ride while it lasted. Apologies for my cynicism. But I have my reasons to be.

I have been doing extensive writing for a decade, plus the past two years, playing with fanfiction (been reading for more than 6 years). So...yeah, apparently, I do. Shifty eyes.

My dream...to make the weirdest pairings ever and make people say "He was right!"

Ideally, anyway.
