"Sandshrew's Locker" Episode Discussion

    Here is where you can discuss the introduction of NPC Friend number two, Mira, in "Sandshrew's Locker."

    My review to come forthwith.
     
    I actually just watched this episode, and it was very good. It was nice of Ash, Brock, and Dawn to help her, even after she lied several times. I noticed that they barely dodged Gyrados' Hyper Beam. Quite a good episode.​
     
    Awesome episode! Loved it. Abra is overall my favorite psychic Pokemon, and Mira was funny/cool for managing to trick the group XD
    I also liked how the Gyrados was hiding within the school. Hyper Beam hit Buizel and Piplup hard though, must'a hurt. I forgot if Team Rocket went underwater though, I was asleep for like five minutes of the episode from having to wake up early to watch it.
    Overall, awesome episode, how Mira got Sandshrew back, and how the group got to Hearthome quickly. Though how they only received disappointment from Dawn losing her Pokemon contest, and Ash not being able to enter his Gym Battle.

    I loved this episode! Anything underwater is great to me. xD I wish they could have explored that city more.

    Lash, TR did go underwater.
     
    This episode was pretty good not as good as the last couple fillers but it was overall very good. Ash and group almost got hit by that Hyper beam XD, that would have been a eye opener for real. I just love Buizel, cant wait for Ash to get it which will be soon! ^^ And the quick way to Hearthome City was unexpected lol, throught we would have to go through another filler but yay finally! And I lol'ed at Dawn when they throught they mae it to hearthome the first time Abra teleported them and ended up on the dam. Dawn: We made it! Were finally here! lol this isn't hearthome City. lol
     
    Considering how I missed Cheryl's mini-arc, it was nice to see NPC friend number dos. Mira was interesting in her ingratiating ways or ability to cajole. And the plot had a good brisk pace, and nice to see Gyarados be its usual badass self.

    My only complaint? The dub title. Sandshrew was the plot impetus, yes, but hardly had an actual role. If anything, the Gyarados should get more credit because it had more to do.

    Other than that, I'm glad they cut to Hearthome at the end, as I was afraid things would be dragged out further. On to the next contest!

    I'll be more elaborate later. Heh.

    This is probably a stupid question, but why didn't somebody capture the Gyardos? If nothing else, Brock could send it home to the Pewter gym.

    Team Rocket is definitely getting bolder and, dare I say, getting better. A lot more thought is going into their planning, they're doing better battling but in the end still end up blasting off. :15:

    Because it would have made sense? Don't use Earth logic, here. Heh.

    Of course, that could be applied to hundreds of episodes, really.
     
    Yeppie. I was told that this little girl was in the game. I am guessing that Diamond and Pearl is going to use a lot of characters from the game now. This is going to be coolies. Teeheehee

    Mira was really cute too and very decieving. It is kinda amazing what Ash and friends will fall for. Teeheehee Still Brock is really smart and I am glad that they were able to use that because we all know that Brock rarely gets any time to himself beside his girl craziness. Teeheehee

    I kinda agree with Charaxes. Gyarados would have been better then Sandshrew but I guess they can't make super good ones all the time.

    I really have to say that it was coolies to see new Team Rocket toys. The Sharpedo Jet thing was coolies. For a minute there I thought they got a new sub but this is just as coolies too. Teeheehee

    Not as good as the past fillars but better then the ones we have gotten in the past. Teeheehee
     
    I wonder that too. I mean for once the US dub didn't get cut but this is strange. I wonder why that happen.
     
    *looks up* *looks down* *looks back again* Wow, I didn't post a review!? Anyway, I'e watched the US version and the UK version twice, and there isn't an edit in the UK version. Also, in the Drifloon episode, we didn't get this edit that the US did

    The dialogue is pretty much the same and there is no BGM throughout the scene. Is it still edited on reruns in the US?
