    this is a problem im getting clicking links here. occasionally the links bring up the "download/save as..." thing. is something wrong with the links or my machine?

    btw im using opera 7.51

    Im using Firefox 1.0.2 and it also downloads PC.Actually i thought they already upgraded the host and if its what im thinking,their going to upgrade to Vbulletin 3.0.8.

    We've had similar threads pop up numerous times in the last few weeks, so in future, you might want to check if your question has already been answered. ^_^;

    Anyway, when a lot of commands are sent to the server at the same time, it clashes with the massive database size, and thus, Apache overloads. The errors might be annoying, but there isn't much we can do for now. If you encounter one, refresh the page and it should work.

    vBulletin version 3.0.7 is the latest version outthere

    It is going to happen. Just hit cancel and hit the link or "post" button again and keep on doing it until it works. It isn't that big of a hassle once you get used to it.

    its okay now.. but somehow this shud be made to go away... we all mite have double posting problems, and stuff like that.

    We... seem to have lost that sticky. O_______o; Steve or Kwesi probably thought that, hence the server upgrade, these errors were gone, thus the sticky was unnecessary. x.o

    I've been getting some of those too o.o;; i think there viruses O.o;; so dont download them whatever you dojust to be safe ^_~

    On a larger server you do run into this on occasion.. Apache (the web server) can only do a set amount of requets at once and if that limit happens to be reached, which can happen duing peak times, it will fail the page request or 'miss a step' hence offering you a download VS displaying the page.

    We are aware of this and at this time, we have no 'fix' for it yet. As stated above and in the previous threads about this, just ctrl+f5 or refresh the page to load the page (Ignore/close the download request)
