Here is where you can discuss Team Galactic's Iron Island holocaust in "Saving the World From Ruins!"

    My review to come forthwith.

(I don't plan to be on for tomorrow, so posting it mega-early, just to be sure. It's all on you, my helper elves.

    See ya next week.)

Am I making the thread next week? I can't remember if you are or anyone or what

With this episode, I can't help but wonder what 4Kids would have done with the bombs blowing everyone up thing. I'm sure 4Kids never said just "bombs" in Pokemon. I was kind of surprised TPCI did, anyway

    - Wow, Galectic Battle opening *does* sound like the dub opening of Tokyo Mew Mew. But this sounds better
    - Lucario's going crazy ~
    - Reiji!
    - It's the professor person from Platinum
    - I swear, when Riley said "Use Thunderbolt on Lucario" he was going to say "Use the force" XD No idea why
    - Zoom in on Ash's shoe!
    - Hahaha Barry just randomly saw Ash jump over the hole
    - XDDDDDDDDDD Dawn fell on Barry
    - When James said "We're all in this together" I automatically thought of that horrible High School Musical song
    - Chimchar's hands XD Why didn't Brock say that *before* he used dig?
    - Aww James crying :(
    - Skarmory has an awful voice
    - I like how Ash gets a swoosh noise when he moves his arm. Barry gets a swoosh noise, too!
    - I really want Barry to meet Paul, he's so cool. Barry, I mean
    - Empoleon has claws, I didn't know
    - Nooooo, don't leave, Barry!

    Music kept: (6)
    At the start
    When Mt Coronet shows up
    When Purugly attacks
Going to blow up the island
Riley and Lucario come out of the smoke
    Kanto music at the end

You're supposed to make the thread Jorah.

    • An aura shield is pretty cool. Though, Ash not wanting to hurt Lucario wasn't cool.

    • The breaking of Monster Balls these days. They really should try to make those things stronger.

    • I liked that Pikachu was able to use Thunder Bolt on Lucario. I was getting sick of Ash not making up his mind.

    • I'm happy that Brock was able to go with Ash to stop Mars. He doesn't get to do much but it was more than what Dawn did.

    • Mars is officially the second most awesome member in Team Galactic. She's after Akagi though since he's her boss.

    • Riley and Lucario struggled to get the explosives out. All of a sudden though, they create a shield around the explosions and throw it in the air. It reminds me of what Raven did when she tried to stop Starfire from sneezing.

Gosh, next week's episode will be awesome.

Apparently, Mars is male, when she asks how much time they had to blow it up, the pilot says "sir, three minutes!" Anyone catch that? XD; I had to rewind on my TV because I was caught so off-guard by that.

Awesome way to stop the amount of explosions too, that aura shield was a great idea.

Acutally, when you are a VERY FEARED formal female, you are referred to as sir. It happens with J as well.

Anyways, good episode. I was kinda surprised to see the return of that Kanto ending music. I bet little kids went "Oh, new music :D"... No, it's very old music...

    Exact same horrible thought here.

I guess that floats their boat, then. I asked my grandfather about that, and under the army, was taught to say ma'am to any superior female officer or they got in a ton of trouble.

But hey, whatever floats their boat. *shrugs*

I was watching this with heavy background noise and limited attention; what exactly was going on with the Mt. Coronet (right? Whate else?) on the computer screen? Were they channeling energy to the Spear Pillar with the meteorite machine? Were they locating it? Or...what?

makes me wonder if Riley is a direct descendant of Sir Aaron XD

They were locating where Spear Pillar was but only scanned 60% of Mt. Coronet.

Any episode with Team Galactic or Barry in it is awesome. Since both of them were: 10/10!!

Team Galactic was awesome.Ridely was there.IronIsland was diffrent than i thought it would be.

    Mars was there <3

Seems like I'm not the only one who caught the grunts calling Mars, "sir". XD

This is one of the few episodes I watched RAW, since I love Team Galactic episodes that much. Mars is definitely one of my favorite villains.

    - Barry being there just makes it awesome. <3
    - Lucario goes crazy.
    - Got Pwned by Purugly
    - Staravia's little twirl around Purugly. XD
    - Lol I thought Mars got crushed. XDD
    - "Sir"
    - A BOMB! Mars is now one of my all-time favorite female Pokemon villains
    - They were pretty powerful to deflect an explosion like that
    - Boring explanation is boring
    - Give Jupiter screentime dammit! >:

Why are people making a fuss on a word? There have already been many times where a female had been called "Sir" on the show to show that she was their superior.

Lamp Oil? Check. Rope? Check. BOMBS!? Check.

This was a great episode. About time we finally find out why Team Galactic stole those meteorites, and Mars definitely took a step up the coolness ladder threatening to blow them up with the bombs on the island. Riley and Lucario were pretty awesome as well, containing the said bombs 'n stuff. TPCI/PUSA kept some of the better pieces of music in this episode, and it was cool to actually hear characters say "bombs"(No Blaster Balls here!)

Blue_Drifblim, I was about to say why hadn't you posted in an episode discussion in ages, but you just have XD Yeah, they didn't leave in much BGM this episode, but they left a movie 9 piece in that went on for a long time (well, it seemed like a long time) so I suppose that's OK.

I suppose not everyone watches every single episode :P But they have said it in about 3 or 4 episodes now.

Yeah, I really haven't been on as much... I was on a trip for a wedding so things have been pretty busy. XD

But yeah, that piece is like three minutes long... what's funny though is that they left that whole three minute piece intact, but during the climax with Riley and Lucario, they cut the barely two minute piece in half. >_>

Make up your mind, PUSA. ._.

That piece (when was the last time it was there in the dub?) even went through to the last scene with Cyrus. Kinda ruins (no pun intended) the lingering doom what was supposed to be there.

Not all of us catch every episode, as Jorah said. This was the first time I've seen Mars (or any "superior female") directed as sir, and I just pointed out that as odd. We're not making a "fuss," we're just saying what we find as unusual for the first time. :(
