OK. There are a lot of awful movies these days, but Saw is a winner. This is a psychological thriller at its best. A serial killer captures these unfortunate men and chains them up in a room, and they have to follow obscure clues from the killer if they want to survive. To make matters worse, the killer is after Dr. Gordon's family, so it also becomes a race against time for Adam and Lawrence.

The only face I recognised in this movie was Danny Glover from Predator 2 and the Lethal Weapon series of action movies. In this movie, he plays Detective David Tapp, who is out to avenge the death of his partner, Detective Steven Sing.

This film is very gory and intense. Some scenes are hard to endure, but I'm sure the UK version is heavily edited, as is the case with most movies. I look forward to seeing Saw II and Saw III soon.

Just a few points of interest on this movie:

Carey Elwes, playing Dr. Gordon, was the lead roll in Robin Hood:Men In Tights, and the Princess Pride.

The actor playing Adam, was actually the guy who wrote the three movies in the saw Trilogy(third one in production now).

Dina Meyer played a supporting detective in the first, and in the second as well. She was in many movies(Starship Troopers), and she was Oracle on the Birds of Prey tv series.

The actor playing Jigsaw was never in a major role in a movie until Saw.

Awesome movie, everyone should watch it at least thirty times.

yeah as long as your over 18 or have parents permission...oh and a warning to parents this movie was very destirbing and not good for young and or immature kids this movie was all about murder very disturbing murder

    I've seen Saw..
Although i didn't like it when Dr. gordon Cut off his feet.
And when he left the guy that set them up was on the floor pretending to be dead and got up, said "Game over" then shut teh door.

    Cool but scary gory film.

`Sounds like a freakin' awesome movie <3. I'm planning to go and see it. Even though that must be kind of harsh, cause none of my friends is really into the whole horror movie thing...They're, chicken oO; And I don't very much appreaciate watching a movie all alone...bleh.

That's what i like about Saw, You get confused all the way through the film, like in the first one where Adam woke up in the beginning of the film, the most important thing (Which was the key) Fell down the plughole, which then meant, he couldn't take the chain off his leg and he wouldn't of died.

I just love the film xD
I really wanna see the 2nd Saw film.

SAW II was the exact definition of what a sequel should be: Better than the original, links back to the original, and gorier than the original.

    gtg now, seya

I've not seen the second one yet, but the first one is the best American-made horror movie I've ever seen.

I love both of them, I wouldn't go as far to say that they were the best horror movies in the world, but they're pretty good.

Seems like I'm the only person who thought the movie kinda sucked. Heh. It was pretty clever how Jigsaw was in the bathroom watching the whole time though.
