I would love to trade with you sometimes! Unfortunately I don't do online battling, I've never liked it, and I never will :/ But trades, sure!
A good tip would be to leave your Friendcode behind at the X/Y friendcode sharing thread. I did, and I have around 30 new friends now in just 2 days! it's really good for if you want to visit some friend safari's!
As for trading, you should check the Trade Corner. Just about every pokémon must have circled this section by now, there are A lot of trades made at this place. Last but not least, we also have a Battle Center. Many people are waiting there for you to challenge them, don't make them wait ^^!

I play Pokemon X a lot though admittedly not as much anymore since I beat the game. Still very fun, though! Took me only a few days to get to the E4 but now I'm dabbling in breeding and increasing my Battle Chateau rank. Like Alpha said, you'll be able to trade and battle here via the Trade Corner and Battle Center so that'll likely keep you busy. Let us know if you're lost along the way - we're more than happy to help.

I noticed you originally joined here 4 years ago but you only started to get active right now. But anyways it's never too late to make an introduction if you haven't been that active all that time ago, the forum has changed a bit but I'm sure you can get used to everything. Alpha and Megan have got you covered so do head over there if you haven't done so already, and take some time to explore the rest of the forums as well.
But yeah, I do hope we can chat to each other and get to know you during your time here. Don't forget to read the rules or ask a moderator if you need help, that's part of their job after all. Have fun and I'll be seeing you around!
