ROM hacks are very popular on PC and they're actually how I found out about PC way back in 2006. Stinks that my favorite one was never finished but we have so many more to choose from now and new hackers are constantly making more. Emulation's a great place to check out! If you're interested in creating your own hack then you'll find lots of tools to utilize in the Emulation board as well, plus it has a really useful simple questions thread where you can ask questions. =] Though I definitely encourage you to read the rules there as it's generally a crowded section so that'll help you get around quicker. Its moderators, DrFuji and giradialkia, are always around to answer any questions you may have.
