Issue: Security Issue: vCard Download enabled by default

Well, as mentioned in the title of this thread the issue is allowing vCard downloads by default. Can we turn this setting off by default for all accounts so that people's email addresses aren't exposed to the public?

So how exactly is this a security issue? I think you mean privacy issue.

Besides most people just use a different email to sign up to places and have a different email for IM programs so I really don't see this as a big issue.

It's an issue because harvesters can download these vCard files and fill your inbox/Spam Box up with spam. o.o

They will have to be either well made bots or people with too much free time.

They'd likely be bots. With that being said, I think people should have to enable vCard download manually...it shouldn't be a default setting. >_>

It's still annoying receiving emails with spam every five seconds, isn't it?

Yeah, I've thought of that. I've disabled the vCard download, as I've had an unpleasant meeting with a pervert.
