I had a card that labeled Combusken as, quote- "The Fire/Fighting Pokemon".
It was pretty awesome.

Dento's blue brother is secretly a chick, I know it.

Tamagetake's head is actually a Pokeball. lolwut?

Tabunne has potential for being a decent healer. About time Pokemon has an opening under white mage.

Cross Flame/Cross Thunder seems pretty cool for now.

Well with all the new pokemon being clones as people say, that could be the point. Everywhere in the real world has some animal and there is a very similar, though not quite the same, animal somewhere else. Like elephants! Indian and African elephants look pretty alike, but are pretty really.

That's what I was thinking, there are tons of animals that look like others but are not, different type of foxes, dogs, etc :)

It seems that Hihadaruma is a full on Fire type. However, it's been said that it has an alternate form which is blue (and turns out to be fire/psychic) and looks like this.

I'd like to add, Tamagetake is really cute. The pokéball mushroom top is adorable especially with its face expression. o3o;
I'm impressed with the designs for the new pokémon so far; Black and White is going to be quite the game. Let's hope GameFreak keeps it up and the storyline is just as well. :)

Here are all my thoughts~

The kitty came out sooo much better than the Pokexperto artwork. I dreaded it would look like that artwork, and it made me proper sad. Let me tell you, I am ecstatic about that kitty now. A panther for a regional cat [not confirmed]? It doesn't get much better than that! The sea monkey.. it's like they went into my head and pulled out my dreams and wishes. It's eyes are closed and cute just like Uxie's, and it's my favorite shade of blue. <33

Just as I hoped, Shikijika's evolution is magnificent. It puts Stantler to immense shame. ;D The regional puppy is absolutely adorable. Gosh, this region's Pokemon are so amazing. They really granted all my wishes. I liked Tabunne at first, but the official artwork makes me feel neutral towards it now. But I do hope it's the new Chansey for Nurse Joy since it's the Healing Pokemon and has the Healing Heart ability. That would be adorable. <3

Having three gym leaders is a wonderfully unique idea. They should've done that with Misty. Three sisters in the anime and not one in sight in the games. XD; I really was hoping for a triple battle though, not one on one. D:

Futachimaru looks absolutely fantastic. Much better than I initially thought. The other two evos are whatever.. I'm praying the finals are good. Wow, I really sound over-excited don't I?

It seems like gamefreak went by user submissions or something, the Pokemon are really amazing. :D I personally got the panther, the eagle, and the dark/dragon type ive been wanting for awhile. These games are living up to the hype.

Just in case people need more confirmation on whether Gamefreak actually said only new Pokemon/no Evo's.

GameFreak's Junichi Masuda has disclosed a surprising feature of Pokemon Black & White via his blog. In a post today, Masuda revealed that Black & White players will encounter only new Pokemon until they've cleared the game.

The reason for this design choice, says Masuda, is because they want to put kids and adults on the same starting line and give all players the feeling of "What is this Pokemon?", similar to what they might have experienced when playing the original of all Pokemon games, Pokemon Red & Blue.

Masuda and the development staff had players inside and outside of the company sample the game. Comments included:

* "It's like playing something completely new, similar to when I played Red & Green"
* "You don't even know the type of the Pokemon, so you're surprised at the skills"
* "There are only Pokemon that you've never seen, so it's fresh and new"

The impressions have been good, says Matsuda, but desiging the Pokemon has been tough. Still, the GameFreak graphics staff say that they're happy if players enjoy themselves.

Well, if there were to be new Evo's, they'd probably be the 2nd or 3rd form of the supposed old Pokemon.

I never heard of catching a 3rd form of a Pokemon in the wild.

There's no wild Pidgeots, Magmortars or Rhyperiors anywhere.
So I doubt something like that would be in this game.

I wish there were new evolutions. They did a pretty good job with Dusknoir, Gallade, Weavile, etc.
I thought they would make some cool evoltions. I wish there was a skarmory evolution! :)

Nope but there are Steelix and Gengars in the wild in gen 4 :P
Well I am upset with this but the cool monkeys and the deer make up for that :D

Steelix is Stage One/Second Form Pokemon. Its basic is only in a two form line. Onix -> Steelix

Gengar can only be caught using the Dongle system using any Game with D/P/Pt and going into the Haunted Mansion. They aren't found normally.
