I'm a "Head and Shoulders" kind of guy. I like how it makes my hair feel, and how it smells after I use it.

As long as it washes my hair, I don't care. If it's cheap, that's double win.

I use Head & Shoulders Dandruff even when I don't have dandruff. XD

It's fair cheap.

Branded. Right now, I use Herbal Essences. It smells nice, and it works well in my hair, so why not? It's not terribly expensive. @_@;;

I have a really dry scalp, so I have to use a particular dry scalp shampoo for it (not to mention having to use conditioner), but I get generic brand so it's not as expensive (like $3 something a bottle compared to $5-6 for the brand name). And I use branded conditioner since it's cheap anyway.

It doesn't matter to me. Just getting my hair lathered up with shampoo feels good to my scalp and all conditioners I've tried have made my hair soft so I take what I can get!

My direct answer to whether I buy Brand name or Generic Brand items lies in the answer to 1 question.

Which is cheaper.

that's it that the only deciding factor. I always go with the cheaper one. besides I've found that most Generic brands are just as good as brand name anyway.
