4th Gen Shaymin over Mystery gift?

Not if it is a direct download. All the event give away "direct download" are set specifically as NON shiny. The only way you could get it shiny is if you got the trigger item to launch the in game event.

For what ever reason, after the aurora ticket (in america) Nintendo has stopped giving out the items to unlock in game events. America never got the old sea scroll, and thus far, no one has gotten the membership pass for darkrai. Maybe they don't like us having shiny legends?

I just happened to reread your post... if you are referring to the manaphy eggs then yes, one of them could end up being shiny, as that is the actual in game event and it's not hard coded to non shiny. I already have a shiny lvl 1 manaphy i've gotten in a trade so i haven't tried to find one out of my eggs, but hopefully one day i'll accidently give someone a shiny manaphy egg and make their day ;)
 
Hm... Shaymin, I think there's a way to get it. You have to solve the glitch. From Elite Four. You can go through there to Shaymin's located. And about the movie, I think it's useless for other countries. Because only Japan and a Japanese Version can get a Shaymin.
 
if you mean the surf glitch, thats only in the japanese versions of the game. not anywhere else in the world.

however someone else claims to be able to use tweaking to the same effect, but i havent seen any proof of this
 
The Surf glith doesn't work, I know because I've tried it, and supposedly if it did somehow work in the American versians the game it self work lock up and you'd be stuck inside the glitch.
 
Well, since it took them this long to finally give us a Darkrai expect a similar amount of time to receive Shaymin. I don't really care about Regigigas :p
 
wow that sounds like a good deal. I can't wait for it to come to the U.S, they should have these events in Mc. Donalds since they are everywhere

we never know if its gonna be available in the U.S. because they gave us darkrai but it took a very long time maybe for the new movie itll come out in the U.S. in 2009 or something as an event we dont know we just got to leave it to nintendo
 
Where is the source for this? I haven't seen this information on any other message board...I cannot wait for this to come out in America though, Shaymin is awesome!
