    So what's the trick with this Pokemon?

    Twice now I've levelled up a Nincada to Lv20 with a spare slot in my party and nothing happens.

    Any help?
     
    Uh, the Nincada has to evolve to a Ninjask first.(Thus this shedding it's skin thing). So technically, Nincada doesn't really "evolve" into Shedninja. I hope I helped.
     
    You also need pokeballs with you.
     
    Aslong as there is an open slot in your party when Nincada evolves into Ninjask you should get a Shedinja.

    I'm not sure but I have also heard that you should have a Pokeball in your bag for it.
     
    Ok, that might be the problem... I don't have pokeballs.

    I have every other kind of ball though.

    like others already said it, you get shedinja by eveloving Nincada into Ninjask with a free slot in your party, i`m not sure about the pokeball thing (i got my shedinja on Sapphire).

    But Shedinja isn`t that good as for Wonder Guard.
    to defeat a Shedinja you need a Super Effective move , that would be:
    -Fire
    -Fly
    -Rock
    -Ghost
    -Dark
    -Weather Effects (like sandstorm)
    -Condition Effects (like Poison)

    moves like Fireblast, Sandstorm (-> Tyranitar), Shadow Ball, Fly, Rock Tomb, etc. will instantly kill Shedinja.

    Its not that good pokemon, almost everyone has at least a fire type move or flying type move in their team.
    i know, i`m telling my opinion here, but it`s true i tried it myself, i got an EV-trained shedinja, and i gets killed after max. 3 rounds.

    if you bring shedinja in late in the game (packing a sash) it can wall very well. but thats its only use.

    Will appear in your party when you evolve your Nincada, you have an open slot in your party, and you have at least one Poke Ball in your inventory.

    Pretty simple.. And your right.. it is at 20
     
    I doubt Shedinja works with the Sash (has 1HP already), its only used for Uber somehow.
