Shiftry or Cacturne?

I want the grass/dark type in my Ruby team, but I am unsure of which one to choose. Here are my thoughts:

Shiftry, Bold, either ability
Giga Drain
Shadow Ball
Faint attack
------------

Cacturne, Rash, Sand Veil
Needle Arm
Faint Attack
Sandstorm
-----------

Thoughts, suggestions and ideas would be very helpful

I prefer Cacturne better myself, so that is what I say. But the choice is yours if you want o.o

Shiftry,man.Cacturne is a good poke,but it is too slow,IMO.Heracross will walk all over
it.Shiftry is fast enough to use AA to take out Hera.

Cacturne is a must on a Sandstorm team/one with Tyranitar because of its type+ability, but if you're not using Sandstorms, Shiftry can be pretty cool, and can learn Explosion (without a tutor) XD!

shrifty is by far better.Has a much better move pool to work from.
Cacturne is only good on a sandstorm team...

Id prefer Shiftry. I just like the moves it learns.

I like Cacturne more but in this case...
Shiftry' moves are definately better but the bad thing about him is...
Bad nature! Cause I hate it, lol and cause its atk goes up slower than a normal 1, and this is bad only for the move Shadow Ball.

But still... Ill just go with Shiftry...

Yep,Shiftry is better than Cacturne.I have Cacturne in my GBA team and it?s not quite good :)
