This week, Ash and Paul face off in the finals of the PokeRinger, but it takes Ash inducing an evolution to turn the tide!
I sped up some of the progression of events to make it fit into its new setup of a race instead of a sporting event. The big change for this episode was how Estrella evolved--I felt Ash using the Swanna Song to induce Estrella would make sense considering what happens in the real show. It also serves as a callback to Moonlight Silver, when Brock did the same thing to his Golbat Hitomi
The photo finish was also new for the story--I felt that would add a little drama to the scene--and Ash's victory that much more sweeter.
Brock telling Dawn the appeal value for Close Combat is also new for the story.
I cut Ash bragging to Paul at the end because I felt that would be Ash stooping to Paul's level. So I just have Paul scold Mystic and leave while the gang celebrates.
Since Dawn doesn't have Mamoswine any more, I had Satomi pitch in to help Brock make Ash a victory feast from the food that Ash won (which also includes human food as well as Pokechow)
Next time, when we return on January 8th (and twice a week releases!), the gang befriends a lonely Snover!
