    so i found this code for action replay to catch any poke in the wild shiny...is this cheating??

    As long as you use any sort of cheating device, (i.e. AR), you are in fact cheating.
     
    why is that?? theres no change in stats from a normal poke...
     
    Chah dude, that's big-time cheating. Try Pokeradar. And try turning off the caps-lock button when you make a thread.

    but you've cheated to get a shiny, people here won't trade with noobs who using cheating devices for shinies
     
    im no tryin to trade anybody i was just wonderin what other people thought about the shiny code

    It's the fact that you've altered the chances of getting a shiny Pokemon. No one likes hacking here, especially for shinys.
     
    Well, if you never ever ever plan on using it in any online fashion and just keeping them to yourself, then it's fine. But you will be labeled a hacker for life if you try to use those around here at all, so make sure you keep whatever you cheat to get to yourself.
     
    i respect the way yall feel about hackers and stuff i feel the same way i got a few losses on my record cuz some people want to be smart and have a swampert faster than my charizard but im still not convinced that this code is cheatin...yea maybe if you treasure the whole 1 out of 8000 chance you ever get to even run into a shiny poke but im talkin about the battle aspect of this theres no plus in pearl for havin a shiny other then the cute entrance when u throw your poke out
     
    I personally don't think it is cheating OHH big deal! He gets shinies. YOU DO TO! and you all know it! people can say they are legit all they want they are proabably Hacked!!! because the chances of there being THAT many shinies found are slim to none even if there ARE people playing all over the world....there is something for you to think about

    Yeah, OK. So you don't think that here, where there are literally hundreds of people that pass through our trade forums every day, and most are ultra-dedicated Pokeradar shiny hunters, that there couldn't be that many shinies? You're ignorant if you think that, considering the effort that people have been putting into shinies for this and past generations.
     
    yea finally someone agrees with me i have over 550 hrs on my pearl and i have never ran into a shiny yet people have got multiple shinies of the same poke how is that possible...tell me

    First of all, cursing, censored or not, is not allowed here, try to stray away from that.

    Secondly, try using Pokeradar, maybe read a guide somewhere. It's not all going to be handed to you, you need to actually put some effort into finding stuff.

    O.o Eh?? Cheating to get a shiny, automatically labels someone as a hacker simply because they've altered the slim chances of even getting/seeing one.

    The chances of a shiny being found, although 1/8192 can actually produce quite a lot of shinys in total, throughout the whole world since you're looking at that. There are methods of making shinys easier to find, (i.e. chaining) and some people do play just to look for shinys you know. You can't just go around saying everything is hacked just because the chances are so slim, people do get shinys and that's just how it is.

    Dude. A hack is a hack. Any code at all and it's hacked. It may only be shiny, but it's HACKED shiny. My shinies are legit etc etc. Actually LOOK for them, instead of wasting time by ev training or something.​
     
    I don't even know what a ultra-deticated shiny hunter thingy is, but if they are deticated don't they just go in grass like any other trainer?

    It means they specifically look for shiny Pokemon in areas where Pokemon can be found.

    Or, by soft resetting for those Pokemon that are figured and don't run.
