Shiny Pokemon in XD?

    I've been trying to research to see if there are shiny shadow/wild Pokemon on XD: Gale of Darkness. I saw some youtube videos, but I couldn't tell if they were hacked or not. I've seen people say yes, and I've seen some say no. Are there, and have you caught/seen any?
     
    I can't tell you that. I don't think there are any in Colosseum (given that it's all Snagged Pokémon), but in XD I think it's possible to get a shiny at a Poké Spot. Given how I've never caught a shiny in any game other than Diamond, I can't tell you for certain. Sorry.
     
    They're probably traded after the main story line. This is about a spin off, so off you go.
     
    I also don't recall having caught any shiny pokemon in XD. I always figured they were fake.
     
    On the contrary - there are such things as shiny Pokemon in Colosseum and XD - any Pokemon you can catch/snag can be shiny (1 in 8192 like the games I believe as well). I even have one shiny Gligar from XD's pokespots (admittedly from a trade but everything about it checks out - no perfect ivs, some pokesav-pokemon checker person said it appeared normal as well, correct message in the what region it comes part in the status screen, etc), and have seen a few other instances of people getting shiny Pokemon from Colo/XD. (Can dig up links of these if you want, it's from sppf). It's just a smaller occurrence to hear someone getting it as you tend to see much less catchable Pokemon in Colo/XD compared to the handhelds, and less people played this game compared to the handhelds as well - but they use the same game mechanics, really.

    They'll also show up as shiny at the time you encounter it as well, by having orbs fly around them - even for shadow Pokemon, although there's a possible exception with Lugia as it already has a different colour scheme so you only probably see its normal (or shiny) form once it is caught + purified, I'd imagine.
    They speak of the shadow pokemon being shiny. Such as Entei, and there was a video with a shiny sudowoodo.

    However, if you are talking about the video with Sudowoodo I think you are talking about, IMO it's fake. IIRC, it seemed the wrong colour and it is impossible to have a Master Ball at that point as well methinks?

    Well there you go. (But are you sure on the Smeargle? I've seen near 10 mistake the one in Colosseum for a shiny because they (programmers/whoever) used different colours so its old normal form which happens to be the newer shiny form was used in Colo/XD - it's only shiny if orbs appear in colo/xd in battle, and stars in the handhelds).

    I've gotten a shiny pokemon from XD & Colosseum.

    From Colosseum It was a Shiny Croconaw.(I saw it was shiny when I traded it to my Ruby)

    From XD It was Moltres.(I was shocked)
     
    Well.. I've come across shiny Pokémon in the newest wii game... what's it called again...! :S

    Anyway, getting back on-topic, about the video of the shiny Sudowoodo, you CAN catch Sudowoodo at that point if you didn't catch it the first time and you get a master ball before you battle the admins at Realgam Tower.. ;)
     
    The only shiny that I've seen in XD is a shiny Geodude but it was in one of the battle sims so I couldn't keep it. When I did that sim a second time, the geodude wasn't shiny.

    That is from Colosseum. Too bad after I caught the shiny it wasn't shiny anymore!!!
