3rd Gen Shiny Pokemon Question

    Hello everyone!

    After losing all of my Pokemon stuff last year, I took a hiatus on Pokemon for awhile.. but I'm back now and I have a question:

    In any of the advance games, when you turn off the Battle Animation in the Options menu, does it also turn off the Shiny animation during battle? For it's hard for me to tell if it's a shiny otherwise (unless it's completely obvious) because I'm slight colorblind. =/

    No, battle animation is the moves you use I think.

    When you go into battle, your Pokemon still jump around (I think).
     
    Dark Lakitu: That's D/P. On Emerald, it turns those off too.

    But I'm pretty sure they still sparkle *goes off to test*

    EDIT: Yep, still sparkles.

    And Vendak, the truth is, when you're trying to train your Pokémon, the animations get terribly repetitive after the first 20 or so wild Pokémon. Plus it saves time. For someone like me, who is willing to fight 50 or 60 wild Pokémon in a row to train just one Pokémon, it's usually better to turn them off.

    @Wichu - Thank you! I would have tested it out at the Battle Tower with the Shiny Umbreaon (Or is it Espeon?) but I didn't want to chance missing a shiny on the way, as I've only ever caught two in my lifetime. =)

    Because sometimes their a bit annoying when you are rushing..

    Anyway, like the other post mentioned above,No,the battle animations only are turned off.
