Shojo Vs Shouen

That's the reason I like most shoujo manga. The art style tends to be so much cuter and more carefree than shounen. ^^;; Like Tokyo Mew Mew~ =o

Both...I guess, but I read alot more Shoujo Its alot cuter! and for some reason, i like the plot a little more...hm..i mean, I read Shounen too. but more Shoujo! especially Tokyo Mew Mew! and Zodiac P.i.

I love both, but I guess I lean more towards shounen.

I never considered shoujo manga and anime always 'kiddie' though. o_O I guess that's just me though...

I'm actually keen on both Shounen and Shoujo. Most of the time I'll lean towards the Shoujo like Sailor Moon or Card Captor Sakura; because, it has nice magical themes, friendships, and romance. That's really what I look for in anime. Comedy is another huge thing that I'll definitely watch an anime for. I'm not a particular fan of violence, gore, or action-type anime such as Shounen. It doesn't grasp my interest...although, Inuyasha is an exception because it does contain romance and scattered bits of comedy in between all that messy stuff, lol. I'm also becoming more and more of a Shounen-Ai/Yaoi fan...and don't you think for one moment that it's all hentai...! I found this one Shounen-Ai anime, Gravitation, and it is so hysterically funny. Only 13 episodes plus an OAV series...trust me, there's not one bit of nudity they show--thank God, heh. But, that Yuki Eiri...*drool*...I MEAN, uh, if there's any action at all...it's only brief kissing scenes between the two guys. The music is unbelievable and I really enjoy it. WATCH IT NOW! O_O Lol, I'll be more than happy to supply the episodes to any of you if you want to see it; I have the fansubs in AVI format. They're large files, but I'll ZIP 'em. ^_^ That's it on my schpeal!

In shounen-ai all you'll really find will be kissing. Yaoi refers to the actual... ahem... other stuff. o.o

Onece agin, I tend to find anime that dosent have either violence or fanservice boring.

Shoujo anime are girly and cutesie. They are aimed to female audiences ranging from children to teens. They either about some kind of magical adventure or based on realism and romantic plots.

Some Shoujo anime include:
Hamtaro
Card Captor Sakura
Salor Moon
Di Gi Charat


Shounen anime are directed to males that mostly range from pre-teen to adult. Shounen are mainly about either some type of adventure that involves fighting, be it realistic or fantasy, or shounen can be about fan-servise. Shounen anime can feature themes such as blood, violence, language, drugs and sex.

Some Shoujo anime include:
InuYasha
Rurouni Kenshin
Yu Yu Hakusho
Excel Saga

O___O Now thats just fuggin sick. Anything that involves two members of the same sex kissing is WAY beyond my liking. I dont understand why that stuff is so popular. This world i curupting as we speak.

Hmmm. I'm not sure which to vote for. **giggle.** I love both! ^__^ And I'd say Shoujo is for anyone who likes cuteness. XD Heck, CardCaptor Sakura is fast becoming a big fave of mine. I adore cuteness, as my banner shows. Yu-Gi-Oh! shall always be my #1 anime. ^^ I also really like Gundam Wing, Rurouni Kenshin, Sailor Moon, and Cowboy Bebop. I guess I'll vote Shounen.
