Being that i am a man and i hate all types of Shounen Anime & Magazine/Manga, i'm against it and i would be ashamed to watch it.
I point you towards Sukeban Deka. Classic, female lead character beating up bad guys.IMO: Shojo just means less violence and more comedy/romance or whatever. Shows like Suzuka, which was classified as a girls' anime, is more commonly watched by guys(or the other way around, I can't remember correctly ><)
