I find that it's quite confusing with all the iv's ev's choice scarf whatever (I know how ev's work tho) and since I dont like competitive battling could I get into breeding or would it be much harder? Anything else I could get into maybe?

    dat booty doe

Whose booty are we talking about here?

Anyway, one of the things that I think is nice about the Pokemon games is that you don't have to be into every single aspect of the games in order to enjoy them. So if competitive battling is confusing and not appealing to you, there's other options.

Though while competitive battling does look confusing to most people at first, you can certainly learn how to do it.

And like you said, you could be a breeder. Plenty of people are serious breeders (just head on down to the Trade Corner) and there's quite a bit of depth to breeding. Or maybe you're into collecting Pokemon instead, catching 'em all and getting all them cool event pokes. And when ORAS comes out and Contests return, you could even take up being a Pokemon Coordinator.

I wouldn't say that one is far easier than the other; when you get down to it, all the different things you can do in Pokemon can get pretty in-depth and technical. So, idk, try them all out and see what you like best. And there's probably other things you can do as well besides the things I mentioned.

Breeding and "training" competitive pokes has become easier than ever in this gen, if that's what worries you. However, if you don't like competitive battling, I see no point in becoming a competitive player :P

OMG, I've just thought about it, do you think there will be multiplayer pokemon contests via wifi? Because that would be amazing

I find Pokemon enjoyable even without the competitive battles. Sometimes breeding is fun enough, or just going around the Pokemon world.

Depends on your taste, of course.

You can always be a shiny hunter. :v

Sure it gets monotonous, but nothing beats that feel when you managed to find one. :>

Plus you can also double the task by breeding + shiny hunt at the same time. Nothing beats the feel of getting the perfect shiny Pokemon. :v

At least, that's for me. I'm not a competitive battler, but I find joy in breeding and shiny hunting. :>

And by the time ORAS is released, a coordinator, like back in Gen 3 and Gen 4. :v
