In Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal, 'shiny' Pokemon obtained a boost in stats. However, they lack the extra power in this generation.

Does anyone think they should have the boost again? I do, since it makes them more valuable (But I also have a team of shinies ;-)

    Post what you think

I believe they should be stronger if they are so hard to get.

Legendaries are much stronger than anything else but are hard to get but really shinies are even harder to get they just defintely be a least a little stronger.

no, because then theyd be banned from wifi which people would hate meaning that shinies would have no use except for in game (which is lame)

Nah they should stay with the no stat boost for shinies. All wifi battles would then be shiny v shiny, opening the door to hacks even more as you could claim a stat boost is natural, when infact its from AR.

Everybody having a team full of shinies loses the novelty of finding one in the first place.

I wouldn't give them it, as some pokemon nowadays would become invincible. This is an example but say they got a 10% boost to their stats, a calm blissey could get almost 800HP and 450 Sp.Def. It would mean shinies getting banned, and i wouldn't wanna lose my purple swampert :(

    Yeah

Yeah i think shiny pokemon DO have to have more powers
just collecting them because they are more beatyful isn't enough for me :)

1 extra stat point in each state only at the beginning would be fine and no extra stats after that...

Here's a point, WHY would they get a stat boost? they're the same pokemon, just with a differentiation in skin/fur/feather pigment. Are albino people capable of doing more than regular people?

    Lol :P
    You're right in that..
But do they don't come out of pokebals either ;)

i don't think they should be stronger, but having 2x EVs is a good idea, Skii

Maybe they could just get 2x EVs.
That's dumb. There's Pokerus(also rare) and Bracers. Shiny Pokemon should only have IV above 20. They'll be slightly stronger than regular Pkmn (unless they bred for IVs) and the power won't be much of a difference.

But WHY should they? why does a different colour make them stronger. If you wanna go with science, its a disorder in the genes and should make them weaker if anything.

I think that the only thing that shinys hunters should be rewarded for is for their Pokemon to be different colors.

If it wan't for the fact it's gone from a split feild to a unamymous no, I'd have started off a poll lol.

Another point; If these pokemon were naturally stronger, battling would be taken over by hordes of lucky people catching shinies. How would you feel if you came up against someone who, through no real level of strategy, had got their mitts on a blissey with almost 800 HP? It takes the competetive edge away.

If Ar and Pokesav didnt exist id say yeah make them stronger but only like have 1 IV guranteed 30-31

but i dont think they should be they re just different colours, fur etc
and to be honest the annoying noise on Wifi would peeee me right off :p >.<

That's like the $64,000 question. I really can't honestly answer that. Due to their rarity, the logical answer would be yes. But then you'd have three or four people online who have entire teams of shinies going around dominating everything. So it isn't necessarily a good idea.
