OCC: Flissie won one of the battles okay... We had two battles... And if ya' count the previous ones.. We still won overall... 3:1 victories... But let's not talk about it.. Yibber! We shall strive ta' do our best and beat the two guys together, m'kay?

IC:

Silver was touched by what Jena had said.. She suddenly felt an urge ta' cry it all out.. "Oh my.. Jena.. I just realized what a nice person you are.. Wait... you've always been a good person.. It's only that I did not know.. I'm sucha blur person... I'm sucha dumb person.. I'm too dumb for my own good.. I'm shouldn't have said all this thing to you in the past... I shouldn't have doubt you.. I shouldn't have called you a hypocrite.. I shouldn't have come here to Zephyr Town.. I shouldn't have left Fortree.. I sholdn't have trained under master... Master shouldn't have taken me in.. To cut it short...... I shouldn't even exist!!!!" The end of her sentence was also the start of her crying spree..

{Hey Fishy!! Me feels really, really thristy.. Can me come along for smoothies too?} the thristy Yukari asked...

OCC: Hah!! Meh is taking some space in the post ta' thank meh partner's Pokemon and meh Pokemon.. They all did their best in today's battle.. Although we only managed to win one of them.. Now for the honours.. we have.. *drumrolls...*

Meh Partner's
Tyler- Jolteon
Trey- Blastoise
Ray- Venusaur

Meh Pokemon
Stephy- she's a dragon/flying type Pokemon..
Chumee- she's a ice/psychic
Desire- he's a water/electric..

That's all for today.. Meh shall keep meh Pokemon in suspense unless someone decides ta' guess and gets it right.. Anyway.. Yibber wasn't so bad in battling.. Her partner is worser compared to her though..

Yeah,and I though Jena was the one we were supposed to feel sorry for,Sliver's words,like,making me cry.
*sniffle*

Oh,you're in denial tha I beated you!!XD

Ic-
Jena was surprised by Sliver's sudden outburst.She would have continued keeping quiet,if not for the way the girl used her words.

"No,no,its all right."Jena sweatdropped at the girl's behaviour,placing one hand on her shoulder.

"You can't say that you shouldn't have come here,its life,we don't know what life is right?And besides,I think that you coming here,meeting us,might be one of the best things you've done in your life,you'll see!!"Jena smiled sincerly,this time,feeling happy again.She really meant what she told Sliver.

{Thirsty??We could Rain dance some water for you Yukari!!}Cascade kipped to the Swablu.

"And anyway,I've forgiven you long ago,if you still think that you're the one in the wrong."Jena assured Sliver with a firm voice,the girl,she wasn't bad after all.

"Okay,now that that's done,we're going to find Sephy!"

OCC: Flissie's not being denial bout losing ta' ya'.. You're the sore loser.. Ya' resort ta' making someone purposely let ya' win link battles ta' gain back all your fans.. That's plain cheap.. Humph.. Hah! But meh and Yibber will join forces tomorrow.. and beat the guys.. With meh Pokemon.. I'm sure of winning!! Will post the Pokemon later..

IC:

Silver wiped away her tears and held Jenny by hand.. "Yes! Let's go look for Sephy.. Yay!! Sephy.. Woot! Sephy!! Gooooo Sephy!!" She herself didn't know why.. she just felt like cheering all of a sudden.. although she jolly well knows that it isn't the right time ta' do that... "Well.. let's get to serious business.. Let's all set out to look for Sephy now.. Let's go Yukari and Miruka!!" She paused for a moment before asking.. "Wait.. who is Sephy anyway?"

Yukari was amused by Silver's behaviour and burst out laughing.. Yukari then turned to Miruka {Ha.. She made a fool of herself again.. Always not being able to control herself.. and disgracing herself in public..}

Miruka just stood there taking in everything that Yukari said.. He didn't want to argue now..

OOC: Pwhee! Meh Dunsparce ish feeling loved! (Even though it ain't professional critsizing) ^^
And teams...hm...well, Flissie. I'd say your team members are;

Stephy is an Altaria for sure, although why you gave the poor thing Iron Tail when it can learn Steel Wing is beyond me. Meh, both those moves are sucky though since Earthquake/Aerial Ace covers enough types if you boost it with Dragon Dance. She does know Dragon Dance, right? Sing would make for a great last move for such a set...incapacitate the opponent, buff up, and then just sweep everything that comes your way. Anyhow...

Chumee is either a Smoochum or a Jynx, it's a good pok?mon actually, Jynx, good Speed and Sp.Attack, great for a special sweeper, but it's Defense is almost as sucky as Chansey's. It's a misunderstood UU in my opinion.

And Desire is naturally a Lanturn. Omg, those are some strong pok?mon you've got there. Good species. Lanturn makes for a great special tank because of its high Sp.Def and HP, and with Thunder Wave it can easily cripple sweepers. ^^

Now Yibber's team on the other hand...

Beautifly...well, it's stats aren't that great but with the right moves it's a decent annoyer/sweeper, it's biggest asset is definitely learning Attract by level up. That move rocks.

Sneasel, another borderline on the stats...tsk, it's attack and speed are good but it just can't take a beating and lacks the power/moves to avoid them properly. Decent physical Sweeper, but the Dark/Ice type combo is kind of wasted since it has such lousy Sp.Attack. Attract makes for a possible way to stall opponents long enough to KO them, and after a few Swords Dances it's quite deadly. Any halfway decent physical wall stops Sneasel though, and if it gets burned or paralyzed it's done for.

Azumarill, whee! It's the saving grace of this trio. Azumarill has great defenses and a good movepool (Best if you breed in Amnesia), with the right set it's basically the Snorlax of UU games, Huge Power compensates for the pretty mediocre Attack stat too. ^^

Unless there was some significant skill difference between your partners then I'd say Yibber's team either has better movesets or is of higher level, because Flissie's team has a far better type coverage and tougher members, so yeah...go you. Any chance of seeing movesets, natures, and suchlike? Sorry...whenever I see a team I just get this itch to rate it. XD

Anyhow, my current Emerald team consists of...

Nalu
Mudkip (Male) @ No Item
Level: 18
Nature: Sassy
Trait: Torrent
Attacks:
Tackle (Will replace with Rock Slide or Body Slam)
Mud Slap (Will replace with Earthquake)
Water Gun (Will replace with Surf)
Bide (Will replace with Counter or Rest)

I'm still on the second route...^^ I've got a level 13 Seedot too, but I'm only training it for the data so I don't consider it a team member. Same goes for my level 7 Zigzagoon which is only there for Pick Up and HM slave duty. I trained a Poochyena a bit too, but didn't have the patience to finish training it so it's level 7 too. Will use it as a breeder.

Whew, anyhow...on to the RP.

IC:

Rai had remained silent as the others said their piece, noticing that the others seemed to be handling the situation quite nicely, all of them seeming to be as relieved that this situation had been solved as he was. When the subject shifted to wether Silver deserved to live or not the boy spoke up however.

"She's right." Rai said "Like I said, everyone makes mistakes, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself." Chupon discreetly nudged Rai from his perch on the boy's shoulder, whispering something into his ear. "Oh yes." he added, grinning a bit sheepishly again "Are you going to travel with us too? I mean, it looks like we've got quite a journey in front of us and the more the merrier, right?"

OCC: Hahaha.. Alter.. do you think that meh Altaria is only level 50? No way.. I'll never make it learn Iron Tail.. never.. But you got the others right though.. Anyway.. Chumee is a Smoochum... Okay.. Now I shall share with all of ya' here.. the Pokemon I shall use tomorrow.. *drumrolls..*

1. Christy- Altaria (Hah!! It fits here okay!!)
2. Horace- Kingdra
3. *bows* Mewtwo!!! (Meh kind friend loan us her Mewtwo.. nice ar?)

We're victorious!!!

IC:

Without hesistation.. Silver answered to Rai's question about travelling with them.. "Yes!! I would love to.. Yay!! I'm not travelling alone anymore.." Somehow.. all this talk made her trust them more..

{Yay!! Me's gonna be travelling with all of you!!} Yukari flew around out of pure happiness.. Yukari flew beside Fishy and asked.. {After we find Sephy.. we'll go and have smoothie okay?}

What!! We're going on an adventure with them? Silver definitely don't know how to differeniate between good and bad.. Miruka thought to himself before walking behind his trainer reluctantly..

OCC:

Stephy- Rash (This shall give away everything...)
Flamethrower
Iron Tail
Dragonbreath
Headbutt(What should I replace it with?)

Chumee- Brave (Ability: Oblivious)
Blizzard
Psychic
Confusion
Ice Beam

Desire- Modest (Ability: Volt Absorb)
Spark
Surf
Waterfall
Hydro Pump

{ooc| My best battler is currently my jolteon. I've been training him up this week. I love 'eons.
Oh no, Melissa and Alter, PS is nearly bumped off! =o}

Maxie nodded, pulling her hands away from Silver's. She didn't want to seem rude, but they really were hurting today.
"I'm been travelling alone for a year now, since my friend went missing. It's pretty lonely. I mean, I love Fang, but he is suuuch a wimp." She grinned evilly, and Fang pulled his wings over his eyes.
{'Snot my fault. Not everyone survives our childhood and turns out a bully, you know!} he whimpered
"Okay, okay. I get the picture." she cooed, cradling the little bat in her arms.

Maxie turned back to Silver to answer the girl's question. "Sephy's my Ralts. She's been stolen." She sighed quietly. It all rests on Rai... she thought guiltily, Here I am acting like just another kid... while spying on the poor boy. Maxie couldn't help thinking of the others - who were hardly a year younger than her - like children. They were just so different...
Fang yawned lazily. He was getting tired, with all this excitement

{ooc| wlaking the dog, be back soon =o}

OCC: Erm.. Alter.. Do ya' want Altaria, Kingdra and Mewtwo's movesets too?

IC:

"I'm sad to hear about Sephy.. Well.. rest assure.. All of us here are ready to help you look for Sephy.. we sure are ready..."

Silver enthusiam shocked Miruka.. She was rarely that enthusiastic... Could all this people have changed her life? Maybe she might be able to lift the spell... with all this people's help..

"To look for Sephy we go!!" Silver called out..

OOC:

No, my extra credit sculpture was not a Swampert or any of it's evolution line. Surprising, eh? XD

Come on, it's so obvious it's sad..

Oh, and Flissie, I can just see Alter now, ranting about Hydro Pump.. XD

I don't feel like posting me team, maybe some other time..

IC:

Kayley didn't really feel like saying much now. Silver wasn't ranting about something, and she almost put herself down to the point where she though she shouldn't exist, but Jena quickly pulled her out of that mood.

A small smile returning to her, the girl added, "Yeah, we've spent way too much time here. Let's go!" She exclaimed, walking towards the doors of the Pokemon Center.

Fishy, turning to Yukari as Kayley began walking, grinned. Again.

{Sure! Smoothies are fun! Everyone can have one!} He chirped, still energized.

OOC: Level 50? o_O I must have missed that part. Well in that case Stephy can be nothing else than a newly evolved Salamence, which makes Iron Tail even more...wrong... Salamence can learn Aerial Ace, Earthquake, Brick Break, and Rock Slide! There's no need for a suckily inaccurate move like Iron Tail, especially since it ain't even STABed. So yeah...as for the Mewtwo...tsk, using Mewtwo is just cheap but whatever floats your boat I guess. But remember...Dunsparce > Mewtwo. Seriously, if they're the same level a Dunsparce with a proper moveset pwns Mr.Highest-Sp.Attack-In-The-Game. What are the movesets for the other three?

Oh, and for those...

Stephy

There are two ways to go. If you want to use special attacks then use this one;

Flamethrower
Dragon Claw
Crunch
Substitute/Roar/Toxic/Attract

Or if you'd like a mixed (Since it would be a bit of waste not to give it any Special attacks wtih its Rash nature)

Aerial Ace
Flamethrower
Earthquake
Rock Slide/Brick Break/Substitute/Roar/Toxic/Attract

Hmm...looks like my comments on this one dissapeared somewhere. o_O Anyhow, the ideal last move for the physical set would have been Dragon Dance, but since it requires breeding (and I assume that you don't have the patience to start out from a level 5 Bagon) I decided not to include it. Also, if you go for Brick Break or Rock Slide as the last move in the physical set then you might want to consider giving it a Choice Band for a hold item since that 50% boost to Attack would let it kick some serious tail. It would require a bit of switching though, since you'd have to switch in another pok?mon every time you want to use a new move, but it's deadly.

Chume

Ice Beam
Psychic
Water Pulse/Hail (If hail, then Blizzard is an option to Ice Beam)
Lovely Kiss/Attract

Okay, rule of thumb; never put two attacks of the same type on your pok?mon, that's just wasted space. There's no point in keeping Confusion since Psychic is far stronger which easily compensates for the lack of 10% confusing chance. Also, Blizzard is terribly inaccurate so it's usually a bad move choice. However, if you use Hail first, Blizzard's accuracy will be boosted to 100% in which case it's a valid option. You'd also want to keep at least one move that makes it difficult for the opponent to attack. Lovely Kiss is a great move, which only Jynx can learn, which works great for that and if you can't get it then Attract is okay too.

Desire

Surf
Ice Beam
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave/Confuse Ray

See above rule...don't ever put three moves of the same type on a pok?mon. It's never a good idea. If that old one would have run into a Quagsire with Water Absorb it would be completely incapable of doing anything. The above set is pretty standard, but it works. The only thing it can't hit with full power is another Lantrun. Also, Thunderbolt is better than Spark, not only is it stronger but it isn't a contact move so traits like Poison Point don't work on it. Also, Surf is better than the pathetically inaccurate and only somewhat stronger Hydro Pump and Waterfall is completely inferior to Surf. In other words, Hydro Pump and Waterfall need to go. Ice Beam gives you type coverage against Grass and Dragon types and is ideal for one slot and the last one is best used for a move that buys Lanturn some extra operating time. Thunder Wave is my preference, it's a reliable move, and paralysis makes your opponents so slow that they're easy to pick of and doesn't dissapear when switching, although some prefer Confuse Ray because of the extra damage that opponents take from it.

It's always a good idea to carry a Fire attack on Salamence just in case you run into Skarmory. The best fourth move would have been Dragon Dance but since that requires breeding (Which I doubt you want to do) I've added substitutionary moves, any of those would do, although I'm not too fond of all-out attack sets myself.

Anyhow, for the rest of your team...they're all tough pok?mon as such but you've got a bit of an Ice weakness with two Dragon/Flying types on the team, half of them are weak against Dragons too.

And there was something about meh Poochyena that I forgot to mention...oh yeah, I named her Akira after one of my old RP characters. Even the Poochyena's nautre matches; Serious...serious all the time...meh, sometimes I miss RPing Akira actually. She's basically the best female character I've pulled of this far (Or at least so I think, and a female RPer gave me rep for her too so I'm not the only one ^^) and she was my most angsty and tormented char ever too...pfeh, there aren't any good pok?morph RPs around though so I doubt I'll get a chance to RP her again any time soon. Maybe I should write one up myself...man, I've been plotting a lot lately. It's kind of addictive I guess. XD Although it could just be that it hurts to see the awfull, terrible, noobish plots that have been cropping up lately. I mean come on, I've written RP samples longer than those peoples' 'Plots'. I could write up stuff in ten minutes that would be both more coherent and more grammatically better than that junk. <_<

Anyhow...

IC:

Rai smiled at Silver's enthusiaism to join. He was just about to explain to the girl who Sephy was when Maxie, who, Rai noted, seemed to be rather careful about her hands, stepped in and told the story herself.

Travelling alone... Rai repeated in his mind, pondering Maxie's words. Considering her temper, it wasn't really such a big surprise, but perhaps...perhaps part of her harsh manner was caused by this solitude.

"Well, this should be a change of pace for you then." the boy replied, he took a pause, noticing that Maxie seemed to be a bit preoccupied with something but now knowing better than to pry. He turned to the others instead, noticing that Kayley was already leaving.

"Allright." he said, grinning broadly, "On to the adventure."

{And the smoothies!} Chupon added from the top of his shoulder, their little adventure seeming to become a lot more interesting by the minute.

{ooc| Okay...back for a bit, then I have to go to town and open a new bank account. Gee, what fun. But I start my first proper job tomorrow! Wheeeee!}

Fang looked suddenly alert. {Smoothies? Wow, I'm in.}
Maxie turned to Rai. She still felt slightly awkward about her earlier outburst at him - he had only been curious, and probably concerned - which he didn't deserve, so she didn't meet his eye.
"I used to travel with my friend Luna. Sephy's Mum's Trainer. I don't know what happened to her." she smiled softly, remembering. "Gee, we were a strange pair back then. Her with her fully evolved psycic types, and me with my first level poison-types. We promised the world we'd tame it. So much for that... We both decided that it would better for us to go our own way - her, on to conquer the leagues, me toretrace my roots. I never saw her again." She pondered for a moment, before continuing. "Then again, I guess our group will be weird too."
One gentlemen, one clutz, two girls with pasts unknown and two more with heavy secrets. She ran through them in her head. It would be a fun trip, if she and Silver learnt to control their tempers. Silver was a lot like her... highstrung, fopr the first thing.

OOC: Gee Alter, I'd hate to see what you'd do to my pokemon team. XD I never was one to get into the whole strategy aspect of the games, I mean, of course I learned type differences, and give my pokemon moves that aren't all physical attacks or something, but I dunno... maybe I shall post my team from my Gold game. I always liked that one best, and after all, if it was good enough to beat Red a bunch of times, then it can't be all bad. ^-^; There were some TMs I had wanted to give my pokemon, but I either couldn't get them for some reason, or I had already used them on another pokemon like an idiot. -_- At any rate, I'll post my team sometime! ^-^

Oh! And I know what you mean about the newbie (I always liked spelling it this way; it's cuter!) plots for the RPs. Then there's the newbies that want to join your cool plot and end up making it all lame because they can't RP for beans. Note: When I refer to 'newbies', I'm referring to those that are both new and ignorant of the rules. Because when I was new, and when Alter here was new, we certainly weren't like the newbies that most people think of. We were respectable. ^-^ Charon too! And I would assume Plushie and Yibber and Flissie were as well!

Anyway...

Zachary
============

"I filled out mine, and yeah, I think we should definitely get going to find Sephy because the longer we wait the more danger the poor Ralts will probably be in," Zachary said, folding his arms. He was glad the the others had made up with Silver, though he knew it would probably be a long while before Maxie would take a liking to her.

No doubt though with the mystery of the helmet still unsolved, there would probably be more arguments like this in the future. Zachary was pretty curious himself, though he would make sure not to mention it again. After all, Silver had said it herself, everyone can't help but be a little curious.

{Yeah! Rescue time!} Ron called out, nodding happily. Luka merely got up from laying down and continued to look uninterested. She did, however, like the smoothie idea.

{I think I would love a smoothie, and I'm sure buying one beats digging it out of the trash any day,} the Zigzagoon said, licking her lips. Her stomach grumbled.

Zachary wasn't quite sure what to say to Maxie's comment about her past, or if he should really say anything at all since she was saying it to Rai, so he just nodded and looked over to the other girls.

OOC:

OMG! PAGE 11!!! And it's me again!! >.<;

And by the way Charon, your Fang picture ish teh cutest!!! ^____^ *huggles*

OOC: What I'd do to your team? Why I'd rate it of course! XD But seriously, I used to be pretty dang terrible with movesets too. Tsk, I've learned my lessons though, mostly through NetBattle. I used to think that beating Red required a good team but then I took a more critical look at his movesets;

Pikachu
Level: 81

Quick Attack
Charm
Thunderbolt
Thunder

Can you say Rhydon pwned? This moveset fails in every way...

Espeon
Level: 73
Swift
Mud Slap
Psychic
Reflect

Urgh...this one sucks just as bad! Sticking those wimpy physical attacks on Espeon will do it no good. Any competent dark type pwns this one easy.

Snorlax
Level: 75
Rest
Snore
Amnesia
Body slam

Erm...and this one was meant to do what against Ghost, Rock, and Steel types exactly? o_O

Blastoise
Level: 77
Whirlpool
Rain Dance
Hydro Pump
Blizzard

Lanturn pwns this one hands down, as does any competent water type capable of damaging other water types. Oh, and don't forget Blissey and Snorlax. Even my sucky Dragonite beat the stuffing out of this one.

Venusaur
Level: 77
Giga Drain
Sunny Day
Synthesis
Solarbeam

Fire types laugh this one out, particularly Charizard. As does Jumpluff, Skarmory, or just about any other flying type. The only thing this one is good against is Water, Ground and Rock types, while the moveset renders it extremely vulnerable against Fire...gooo Venusaur! -_-

Charizard
Level: 77
Fire Spin
Wing Attack
Slash
Flamethrower

The most decent set of the lot. But where oh where is Earthquake and what is Slash doing there? Fire Spin is kind of questionable too but since it's G/S/C there aren't as many substitutes for it, although I still think Swords Dance would have been better. This is the only moveset of the lot that actually works...sort of...Aerodactyl still pwns it effortlessly. As do Omastar and Kabutops.

In short, the only tough thing about Red's team is their high levels, the movesets themselves are worthless.

Anyhow, the G/S/C times...ah...good old days...I still haven't trained a team to as high levels as I did there. Even though their movesets were quite far from perfect;

Typhlosion @ Charcoal
Level: 81
Flamethrower
Thunderpunch
Cut (Urgh...I still used to carry HM moves in my team, I was so N00B >.<)
Sunny Day

Kingdra @ King's Rock
Level: 75
Dragonbreath
Surf
Ice Beam
Rain Dance

Pwhee! One of my earlier sets that was actually good! This very same set has actually been used in competitive play (Except for having Leftovers instead of King's Rock), although most people prefer Hidden Power [Grass] over Dragonbreath these days.

Dragonite @Leftovers
Level: 76
Wing Attack
Return
Outrage
Surf

*Sigh* And there I slipped back into N00Bsville again. -_- Made a mixed sweeper Dragonite without even giving it Thunder Wave...what was I thinking? <_<

Snorlax @ Leftovers
Level: 78
Body Slam
Rollout
Rest
Snore

Pwhee, N00Bs unite! The only reason this worked was because of Snorlax's high level. In retrospect, Earthquake would have been a much better choice than Rollout, should have kept Amnesia instead of Snore too.

Lugia @ Mystic Water
Level: 75
Aeroblast
Psychic
Surf
Recover

Another halfway decent set really. Although in retrospect using a legendary was kind of cheap, but at least it was trained from level 40.

Tyranitar @ Blackglasses
Level: 73
Earthquake
Rock Slide
Crunch
Screech

And another working set. Tyranitar was my latest addition, joined just before I went to face Red and trained until it could beat the league single handedly. XD

Yeah, I've obviously made some pretty bad movesets myself so don't worry, I don't bite...hard. Unless you use Hyper Beam in which case I'll chew your head off! XD

IC:

Rai listened to Maxie's story in silence, not wanting to interrupt the girl now that she was experiencing one of those rare moments, Rai hadn't known her for very long but he was still pretty sure that they were rare, when she actually felt like talking about herself. When it didn't seem like Maxie was going to say anything more, Rai decided that it was time to say something.

"And she gave you Sephy when you parted ways?" he inquired, although he did his best not to make it sound too demanding, more like a careful suggestion "You two must really be close..." he took a moment of silence "There's all the more reason to recover Sephy..." he said at last, "And yes, we are quite an odd little group, aren't we?" he said smiling at the gathered people "Although I prefer the term 'special' of course."

Maxie rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Zachery's right. we need to hit the road pretty soon." she pulled her bag back onto her shoulders. "Though.... we've got some collegues of mine... working on recovering her. You shouldn't... go out of your way... to find her..." she trailed, off, glancing to Fang. He had been poking her for the last few minutes. "Yes?"
{Maxie... what are we going to do? We're meant to be following Rai, how can we do that if he's looking for Sephy?} he whispered, hopefully quietly enough for it to go straight over everyone else's heads.
Maxie sighed, and shook her head. "Later, Fang. Later."

She finally turned back to Rai. "Yeah, kinda. I gave her my Nidoran ♀ - so that she'd always remember me too. Not that I'm easy to forget!" she laughed at her own joke, sounding strangely hoarse, as if she was slightly out of practise.
"Special..." she winked at her zubat, "we're definetly that, ne?"

{ooc| I don't know where my Silver game is... Somewhere in my bedroom. I have a slowbro on it, though. Like, level 40 or something.
But Melissa and I both rp'ed in other places before, I think, so we were cleeeever. We were also polite and could TYPE.}

OOC: OMG! That Tyranitar has the exact moveset of mine! O_O I'm not stupid! At least in that respect. =D I'm weird, I've always been a big fan of Earthquake. Hyper Beam?? I rarely teach any of my pokemon Hyper Beam; it's an annoying attack and the one time I did teach a pokemon it, it always missed. >.< Talk about having to sit back and relax while Lance's Dragonite pummels my poor Nidoking. Why'd I use that attack against his Dragonite anyway? *can't remember*

I would post my team now, but I don't remember all of their attacks... I do remember the pokemon though. Meganium, Togetic (yeah... I know it's whimpy... -_-), Azumarill, Noctowl, Espeon, and Houndoom. I like to use pokemon that I like, not just the strong ones that everyone else likes. In the Nintendo Power magazine over here, they always posted a monthly pokemon team and rated it. I swear every one of those teams had either legendaries, a Charizard, a Snorlax, or something unobtainable to most like a Mewtwo or Mew or something. One time it was a team of six Mewtwo! I was like "WTF? That's the lamest team I've seen in my life." I mean, goodness, what was their plan if a Houndoom came along? Six Crunches later and they'd be done for. I don't care how good and varied their attacks were, there's just no way!

Anyway, about my team, later when I post them you can be as mean and ruthless as you want to them. But I will kill you. *evil smile* Well... okay, I'm too nice for that. I'll just cry and pinch your arm. Maybe I'll do my Ruby team too. Just for added kicks. Hooray for my Marshtomp! XD

By the way, I just wanted to say this: LANTURN ROCKS! It's one of my favorite pokemon. And Alter appreciates it!! Hooray for the water/electric type!

Anyway... onto the RP:

Zachary
============

"Special? I think I like 'odd' better," Zachary said with a joking smile, "Whoever said being odd had to be bad anyway? Though, I guess for most of us it does have negative connotes... no wait... connerations... no that's not it... connrotations? What's that word I'm looking for?!" He huffed about it a bit, trying to remember.

{Don't have a stroke about it Zack, it's just a word,} Ron said, glancing at his trainer. He made it his job to put things in perspective for his trainer, even though the poor boy couldn't understand him.

Luka yawned. {When're those smoothies coming? I was thinking of raspberry flavor.}

OOC: Togetic wimpy? I'm afraid you're mistaken there, Melissa. ^^ Togetic pwns. I have one on my UU Team in NetBattle and it has beaten no less than 3 Kyogres this far, in addition to a whole bunch of other OU pok?mon. It's a bit weaker in G/S/C because of its limited movepool but with the right moves it still rocks because of its high defenses. It's too bad it can't learn Thunder Wave, Wish, Substitute or Seismic Toss in G/S/C (That, with EVs on HP and both defenses and a nature that reduces one of the attack stats and raises one of the defense stats is the ideal moveset I think.) but it could probably still do some pretty good damage with this set;

@Leftovers
Flamethrower
Psychic
Attract
Hidden Power [Water/Electric]/Encore/Safeguard

Togetic has decent Sp.Attack so Flamethrower and Psychic should cause some pretty good damage, a suitable Hidden Power would give it better type coverage but failing that, Encoring your opponent onto a suitable move (E.g. Substitute, Focus Energy, Rain Dance etc.) can give you a major advantage in battle.

I do agree that going with your favourites is the best way to play, otherwise I'd probably never have taken pok?mon like Ninetales, Kingler or Muk onto any of my ingame teams. As long as you create a fairly balanced mix of types it isn't that important what species the pok?mon are, although the only weak member on your team seems to be Noctowl (Average stats and poor movepool) and even that one can be quite strong. In G/S/C it can't learn Psychic though, so the moveset I'd give it would probably be;

@Leftovers/Focus Band/Brightpowder
Faint Attack/Hidden Power [Dark/Fire/Ice/Electric]/Wing Attack/Return
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Nightmare/Reflect

Silly movepool, it's Sp.Attack is a lot higher than its attack but it can learn almost no special attacks. If Hidden Power is of a suitable type then it's your best bet. Faint Attack is good but that would have to have been bred in from a Murkrow so Dream Eater is hands down the strongest assault you can lay on your opponent. Luckily, the G/S/C AI is usually too stupid to switch out sleeping pok?mon, and Nightmare can always be added for that nifty 1/4 of maximum HP damage each turn. ^^ Oh, and Houndoom totally kicks arse! It's basically the best fire type you can get in 2nd generation games. ^^ I actually had one in my haxxy silver team before I switched it for Tyranitar. It was something like level 58 and had pwned Sabrina's whole team single-handedly while it was still a Houndour. And Earthquake pwns, so there's nothing wrong with being a fan of it. ^^ Myself, I've always been a big Mirror Coat/Counter/Magic Coat fan too, always liked the idea throwing my opponent's attacks right back into his face. Recover is cool too, and works excellently in tandem with Mirror Coat and Counter. ^^

And a team of six Mewtwos? Well, Houndoom wouldn't pwn them since Mewtwo has pretty high Sp.Def so the Crunches wouldn't be very effective. A Thunderbolt or two would knock Houndoom out I'm afraid, and with Recover/Calm Mind Mewtwo could outstall poor Doomy. What would really kill such a team however...Snorlax, the kind that has Amnesia, sitting there with its 600+ HP and 1000-something Sp.Def (After applying Amnesias) and just sponging up every attack they throw at him while chipping away at the opposition with Body Slam and Shadow Ball. Maybe put in a Blissey too...insane Sp.Defense and the only pok?mon that can have over 1000 HP if I remember correctly. XD But seriously, they've got the wrong idea about what good teams are made of. Just like this one guy in NetBattle who had a team of 5 Rayquazas and a Lugia. Pfft...pathetic. And Rayquaza is the saddest excuse for a legendary there is. One proper Ice Beam and it's down for the count. Even my UU Team (Sharpedo, Grumpig, Electrode, Steelix, Togetic, Stantler) does worse damage. Ahh...kind of reminds me of that one time when I pwned 5 members of this one guy's NetBattle with a Hitmontop and left the last one on it badly damaged (I hit it with Endeavor). XD

And you two RPed elsewhere before? Well, I knew you had, Charon. And I was the complete rookie who signed up for Project PS out of boredom and curiosity...ah, the memories...memories of Arty posting sad two-line posts and then just dropping out without as much as a 'goodbye'. Tsk, I've told him a hundred times that proper RPing calls for some proper manners too, but he won't listen. Dropped out in a similar fashion from other RPs too as I recall. <_< Anyhow, I'd like to make the crucial distinction between a N00B and a Newbie clear. A newbie is quite simply someone who is inexperienced in the field in question and therefore might do things that are bad/wrong, whereas a N00B is just a general arse/moron who spoils the fun for everyone else with his/her stubborn idiocy and refuses to accept any kind of criticism/help or even read rules or similar things. Gah, there's nothing I hate more than people who don't read what they're signing up for! <_<

And all hail Lanturn! One of the haxxiest little buggers out there, right in the league of Quagsire (Water/Ground with Water Absorb) and Sableye (No type weaknesses). Although it still has quite a way to go to equal Cradily. XD

IC:

"Collegues?" Rai echoed, nodding "Well, the more people we have searching the faster we'll find her, right?"

He took a slight pause to allow Maxie to talk with her Zubat, replying at the comment she gave when she was done. "Well, you've got that right." he said, laughing a bit as well. It was true, the boy would probably never be able to shake his memories of this peculiar duo out of his head, but then again, why would he want to? Fang certainly seemed to be a nice sort, even though he didn't understand a word of what the Zubat was saying, and Maxie wasn't really all that bad, just as long as you were carefull not to insult her.

"Connotations, I believe." Rai replied to Zachary's question, grinning slightly at the boy's determined search for the correct word. "And 'odd' does tend to carry rather negative ones. Although if get wealthy enough we can always get it changed to 'eccentric'." he grinned, shaking his head at the stupidity of such a term "Tis' basically being a crackpot with a lot of money. People put value on the strangest things when they're rich..."

{ooc| well, I'm assuming Melissa has... I have, I was one of the 'origional FC'ers' on the neopets boards yeeeears ago. I was called Mousie back then xDD
As for the newbie/n00b thing, well, I basically follow the same line Alter does. I'm mean like that. I get really annoyed in rolepalys, though, when people lack the common curtesy of asking to join (*cough* Lugia_mstr *cough*) and revive dead boards, it drives me up the wall...
But seriously, Alter, you never rp'd before PS? that's...like...woah.}

Maxie grinned at Zack. "I prefer 'quirky'. 'Odd', to me, sounds kinda...'off-the-wall-nerd'..." she pulled a face to show how much to objected to this persona, "...And 'special' reminds me off, like, a big prissy psycic type. Like an espeon." she pulled another face.

She nodded at Rai. "Yeah.... well... my foster father..." she began, putting all the emphasis on the last two words, "owns a big business. I..." she paused briefly. "I guess I'm a sort of usher at his business. I run the errands, get the customers to where they need to be....it's tedious. Anyway, loads of the workers say they'll help me look."
She glanced down at Fang, feeling her palms burn. She had thought on her feet, as usual, and conjured up a half-hearted lie. Hopefully Rai wouldn't pry further. If it came to 'what does he do for a living?' she'd be completely stuck. She had no idea what people id in the real life, other than buy shares, talk about money, read dirty magazines and watch the fooball.

OOC:

Before I forget, I must agree that Lanturn does rock. XD

Oh yeah, and I'll all show you my extra credit sculpture sometime, when I fix it. (Stupid friend broke the fin off <_<).

Well, since we're all in the spirit of posting teams, I guess I could post mine..

First of all, my LeafGreen Team. I have long forgotten the movesets I had, but I remember the Pokemon, like L_A had with one o' her teams.

Lesse... I had a Fearow, an Omastar, a Rapidash, a Dragonite, a Jolteon, and a Venusaur. Probably not much when you look at the whole picture, but I really did like 'em alot. ^^

I had Sapphire first, though. Again, I cannot remember the movesets, but let me tell you, I bet they were newbish to the extreme. XD Anyways, I had a Breloom, a Raichu, a Swellow, a Walrein, a Ninetales, and a Mightyena. (Me first EVER Poke, a Swampert, is now in my Emerald XD)

Now for my Emerald team, which strikes fear in the hearts of my friends at school...

Thanks to Alter for giving me helpful suggestions, btw! ^_^

IC:

Kayley had stopped walking away long ago as she noticed that the discussion hadn't ended. Sighing, she decided to walk a few ways back, her case swinging back and forth as her arms did, because she really didn't have much else to do. Soon, the conversation had moved onto being rich, or something like that.

She couldn't help but raise her eyebrow at Rai's comment, about people having much different values depending on how much money was in their pockets. Eh, she could agree with that..

At Maxie's statement about her foster father owning a big company, she was reminded of her own family roots.

"My uncle owns a big company, too.." She said, nudging into the conversation softly. "My Dad is kinda high up, I guess.. So he gives me beta stuff. I guess I could show you all later." She finished, her case still swaying in a rythum that hadn't faltered.

{You gotta wait 'till we save the Sephy person,} Fishy chirped at Luka's comment. {Then we can all have smoothies. You like raspberry? Me likes strawberry..} He said, then noticing that Kayley was swinging her case back and forth. He began to sway his head in time with the case, his grin spreading as he did so.

Jena nodded,again not bothering to say anything.Though,she was glad to see that Sliver and Maxie were on good terms again.

"Odd?Special?Quirky?As long as we know we're different,does it matter what we call ourselves?"she whispered to herself,it was like something one of her masters thought her back then.But,she wasn't really paying attention,and didn't get the whole thing into her head.

"Wow!I just come from one of those families living out of town.My dad,he's..a Mareep Rearer!"the girl told a small white lie.

"But,could we talk about this after we find Sephy,I'm sure that we're all ready right??"she continued,making sure that her small bag was secure before walking towards the exit of the pokemon center.

{Hmmm....I like,Clamberry!!!}Cascade said after a moment of thought.

{There is no Clamberry,Cassy.}

{I wish there were,I like clams,Mister Kendre back home always gave me clams,when I went to the kitchen!!}he remarked happily.

{Ah,I'll go for the Cheri berry flavoured one if I were you,somebody as energetic as yourself,I think,might like the spicy flavoured berries.}Ryne suggested.

{Oh...spicy,its second to sour,me likes sour to!!}Cascade exclaimed loudly,feeling a little strange on why the Ralts knew which berry he liked.

{As for myself,that is,if you all would like to know,I'd go for the dry flavoured
Chesto berry.}Ryne turned to the other pokemon.

{Smoothies!!I like smoothies,lets hurry up and find Sephy!!}Cascade was now ready to set off,hoping that he'd be able to get the smoothies right after they found the Ralts.He grabbed onto Ryne's arm and ran after his trainer.

Jena's pokemon joined her as she opened the door of the center.Cascade jumped onto her shoulder,while Ryne hopped onto the girl's bag,it was favourable spot for the little Ralts to sit.

"So??"the girl asked,holding the door open.

First of all, nope, I had no RPing experience whatsoever before PS, go me! XD Unless you consider participating in a five-minute role in an elementary school play RPing. But I don't really think that counts. ^^

Pwhee! Movesetness! XD Oh and Plushie, I think Brightpowder grants more evasion tha Lax Incense, but you know I'd give your team a full 10/10 anyhow, mostly because I helped out already. XD Yeah, that one would be downright scary to face in battle...

And Yibber! Don't you dare stick Shadow Ball on that poor defenseless Grumpig! I shall moveset suggest right now.

Swampert-Zuzu(Male)
Lvl. 67
Serious Nature--Tough Contest
*Take Down Rock Slide/Ice Beam
*Surf
*Earthquake
*Mud Shot Counter/Toxic

Meh, Ice Beam isn't the issue here, Grass types are. To counter them I'd suggest Ice Beam, but Rock Slide is a good move too since Swampert has more Attack than Sp.Attack and it works in Tough contests too. As Plushie already pointed out, Counter pwns, but Toxic isn't a half bad addition either. Personally I think Mirror Coat is the ideal but that requires breeding so I didn't put it up there. You swiped that nickname from Ruby's Mudkip by the way. XP

Gardevoir-Ruru(Male)
Lvl-64
Sassy Nature--Smart Contest
*Psychic
*Hypnosis
*Dream Eater Calm Mind/Ice Punch
*Thunderbolt

Too true, I'd say ditch Dream Eater, it isn't really all that great anyway. Ice Punch would give you full type coverage while Calm Mind could be used to buff up while the opponent is sleeping, both I consider more worthwhile options. And then there's also the thing that Calm Mind and Psychic are an appeal combo in contests.

Swellow-Bebe(Male)
Lvl.-64
Naive Nature--Cool Contest
*Fly Return/Double Edge
*Wing Attack Hidden Power [Fighting/Steel/Ground]/Steel Wing
*Aerial Ace
*Focus Energy Endeavor/Sleep Talk/Quick Attack

Three Flying moves...big no-no. Aerial Ace is the best flying move of the three so ditch Wing Attack and Fly. Hidden Power is once again a good way to improve your type coverage, Fighting being the ideal since it's good against both Rock and Steel types which this one would be vulnerable against otherwise, and failing that Steel Wing helps against Rock types at least and is reasonably powerfull. The choice between Return and Double Edge is a matter of preference. Double Edge is stronger which makes it better for quick sweeping but Return doesn't hurt the user and is strong too. For the last move, Endeavor works well as a goodbye present, use when the next hit would KO Bebe (Preferably against
a pok?mon with full HP) and that pok?mon will be easy pickings for the next one you send in. Sleep Talk is a good counter against Spore Sleep Powder etc. and would actually make Bebe stronger if its put to sleep since the 'Guts' trait would provide a nice 50% bonus to Attack and Sleep Talk would still let you attack every turn, only with random moves. Beyond that, Quick Attack is always good in case you run into Revers (That is, a pok?mon carrying a Salac Berry which will use Endure so it drops to 1 HP and then sweep away with Reversal or Flail, the Salac making it faster than your pok?mon, quite dangerous really.) since it always strikes first and it also works well together with Aerial Ace in Cool contests. Oh, and if you choose Quick Attack for the last move then I'd suggest giving it a Choice Band to hold, combined with the Speed bost from its Naive nature it should make Bebe quite dangerous.

Grumpig-Honhin(Female)
Lvl.-64
Bold Nature--Cute Contest
*Bounce Fire Punch/Ice Punch/Thunderpunch
*Confuse Ray/Magic Coat/Substitute
*Psychic
*Snore Fire Punch/Ice Punch/Thunderpunch/Calm Mind

Don't you dare give it Shadow Ball!!! XO Your Grumpig has Bold nature which will completely dwarf its already rather questionable Attack stat. Bounce sucks pretty bad too. You should go with the elemental punches to gain more type coverage. Ice Punch and Thunderpunch combined with Psychic would give you full type coverage but Fire Punch is good against those nasty Steel Types out there, which ones you want is up to you. You could also choose to only take one Punch and use the last slot for Calm Mind to make Honhin into more of a Spec.Sponge (Works well if she has the 'Thick Fat' trait). Confuse Ray is allright, although I like Magic Coat just because it's so much fun to throw your opponents' status attacks back at them and Substitute would work well to give it cover to use Calm Mind. Plus, it protects against status ailments which is always a good thing.

Beautifly-Vuvu(Female)
Lvl.-58
Impish Nature--Beauty Contest
*Giga Drain Shadow Ball/Toxic
*Morning Sun/Attract
*Gust Aerial Ace (Please tell me you didn't use that TM on your Swellow)
*Sliver Wind

Gah! It's Impish! Impish as in -Sp.Attack! As in, Special moves are going to suck on it! Erm...sorry...anyhow, Silver Wind works well since it even gets a boost from Beautifly's 'Swarm' trait when it's low on HP, but like I said, its Sp.Attack is going to be weak because of its nature so I'd say replace Giga Drain with either Shadow Ball, which is always a neat physical move (which should never be given to Grumpig) or Toxic if you want to go stall (It suits its nature too so it would help you in the Battle Palace and the Verdanturf Battle Tent). Morning Sun is an okay move I guess, although I prefer Attract myself. Attract works especially well in combination with Toxic. ^^

Rayquaza-Ruby
Lvl.75
Modest Nature
*Outrage Dragon Claw
*Ice Beam/Crunch/Thunderbolt/Surf
*Surf Flamethrower
*Extreme speed/Thunder Wave

I always knew that Quaza sucked, but this moveset certainly isn't helping matters. First of all, Dragon Claw beats Outrage since it doesn't force you to use the same move over and over and won't confuse Rayquaza. Plus, I think Dragon Claw is a bit stronger too. Second, you might want to give it Flamethrower since it provides full type coverage in combination with Dragon Claw and since Rayquaza's primary weakness is Ice so you might want to be prepared (*Snort* as if the wimpy Quaza could ever stand up to a real Ice type, but it might be able to pick of the weaker ones), it also give you an edge against Steel types like Skarmory. The third special attack move is up to you, any of those four will do so which one is best depends on what Rayquaza will be fighting, that move is just there to increase the number of things you can get a super effective hit on, although the 10% chance to drop Sp.Defense that Crunch has could prove usefull. As for Extremespeed, it's a good move and one of my favourites, but since your Rayquaza is Modest it's not going to do much damage with it. I'd suggest giving it Thunder Wave to stall your opponents, that extra hit you get in while they're fully paralyzed might just be decisive.

Feebas-Mimi(Female)
Lonely Nature
*Splash Light Screen/Attract
*Water Pulse Surf
*Ice Beam
*Hidden Power [Grass/Electric]/Rain Dance

Okay, poor nature...Feebas' attack stat is pathetically weak so the only thing that one can really achieve is to drop its Defense, not a good thing. Anyhow, what is the type of its Hidden Power? This is really important, unless it's Grass or Electric then it's just wasting space that could be put to better use by giving it Rain Dance (Which would activate the 'Swift Swim' trait). As for replacing Splash, Attract is always good for keeping your pok?mon alive (Feebas is really going to need every edge it can get) and the same goes for Light Screen, which should work quite well with its naturally good Sp.Defense stat. Mimi is still going to be very vulnerable to physical attackers though. Oh, and 8 out of 10 times Surf is better than Water Pulse. The confusing rate isn't high enough to compensate for the lack of damage so I'd suggest going with Surf.

Meh, overall I'd say that your biggest issue is that you don't consider your pok?mons' natures when picking out movesets for them which leads to deficient attacks (Like a Bold Grumpig with physical moves and an Impish Beautifly with special moves) and that Swellow was...*Shudder* Anyhow, there was some decent stuff in there between and some was there for the contests so I suppose you deserve reasonable doubt.

IC:

{I like Salac Berry best...} Chupon commented, his mouth watering at the mere thought, the berries were very rare, prized among trainers for the temporary speed bosts that they granted pok?mon eating them, although lady Isabel had somehow obtained a fair amount of them, hiring a gardener to grow them for her on their estate. Chupon smiled at the memory of his and Rai's nocturnal breakins to the greenhouse and the sweet, sweet taste of the berries. To have that in a smoothie...that would have been the greatest.

Rai nodded at Maxie's explanation, "Well, that was nice of them." he said, apparently buying the lie completely. He returned to silence as Kayley briefly told them about her father, also wealthy apparently, and Jena told about hers, although Rai had never heard of a Mareep rearer before but somehow Jena didn't look like someone who would be the daughter of someone who did something like that. Rai wasn't given too much time to contemplate this matter however, as the girl had already walked out of the pok?mon center door and was waiting for the others.

"Oh, of course" Rai replied to her question, soon catching up with Jena as the girl went off in front of them and taking up the door holding duty instead, after all, it was the only polite thing to do.
