OOC: Well, this didn't go quite as far as I expected. XD Well, at least I'm not as left behind as in the Viper RP. ^-^ Oh, and since I forgot to mention this in afforementioned RP I'll say it here; it's good to be back. Even though I tried not to brood too much about what happened around here during the trip I've still missed you guys, and I'd like to thank you for keeping my RPs running, you did a far better job at it than I have done in similar situations so yeah, thanks. I really appreciate it. ^________^

Oh, and Melissa, Zachary's whole 'taking advantage' talk is just priceless. XD

IC:

Mesmer frowned as the message from Minerva reached him, although now being onboard a full-packed train as he was, it would simply have been too conspicious for him to send a reply. He needed some privacy, and more importantly, he needed to contact a certain other someone. Of all the times for Isabel to summon him back it had to be this one...

Maintaining his frown, the elderly man promptly began cleaving a path for himself through the crowd, using the end of his walking stick with such lethal precision that people around him quickly became wary of where they put their feet. He made his way down the aisle, looking for any kind of sanctuary from the ignorant masses and noticing only one place that fit this description.

Mesmer's frown deepened as he strode on towards the cramped and far from perfectly sanitized train lavatory. Harlan had better have a really good explanation to give...

The moment he managed to navigate himself inside and lock the door behind him, Mesmer shut and locked the door behind him, closing his eyes and doing his best to ignore the far from appealing odor that hung around the room as he set up the psychic link once more, finally feeling that the mind he was searching for was in his grasp.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I thought we had a bargain!"

Mesmer's mindvoice was clearly agitated as it resounded in Harlan's mind, causing the man to steer away from questioning the next bystander and walk of towards a shaded corner to respond instead.

"Come now..." he replied, keeping his own mindvoice steady, even though he wasn't quite as trained a psychic as the other man was, "What was I supposed to do? Isabel would have noticed..."

On the other end of the connection, Mesmer took an irritated pause, obviously realizing that Harlan had a point. Arrogant and megalomanic though Mesmer was, not even he would consider risking a straight-out fight with the Kingsfield gym leader and her disciples.

"Very well..." Mesmer replied at last, his mindvoice still obviously displeased, "Do what you must to convince Isabel but remember; it is essential for my plan that the boy remains on free foot so that he can lead us to wherever his father is hiding. Mesmer out."

"Oh don't worry, little man..." Harlan said quietly for himself, smirking at some incomprehensible scheme of his, "I won't forget...oh no, I won't forget at all..."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, a couple of blocks away, Ashura skidded to a halt, letting Rai back off and down onto the pavement in a fairly secluded and shaded corner of an alley located between a few of the taller buildings in the city, one of them apparently a cleaning plant of some kind, seeing as how the river seemed to have been redirected striaght through it, the water flowing in through one end and coursing down through a number of pipes on the other, crashing down to regroup into a river again a couple of meters below. Perhaps Jena had been onto something when she talked about the town being polluted after all, or then again, maybe they were just filtering out the sulfur so that they water from the river could actually be used for something.

"Do you think he saw us?" Rai asked, his face still slightly pale as he peered over his shoulder at the street opening up behind him, as if expecting Harlan to pop up at any given moment.

{I doubt it.} Ashura replied, shrugging, {And even if he did, he would have had no chance of following us at such a speed. I belive we are safe for now.}

"Good." Rai replied, nodding and smiling in relief. He took a pause, pondering what to do next.

{Erm...} Kaika began, unsure of wether it was any of his bussiness but too curious not to ask, {Kaika wonderings, who bes this Harlan person?}

{He's-} Ashura began.

{Evil!} Chupon exclaimed, uncharacteristically cutting the mantis pok?mon's sentence short and causing the Vulpix to leap back in surprise, {Pure evil. He is always following me and Rai and telling us where to go and where not to go and-}

{Yes, I think you made your opinion on the matter quite clear.} Ashura interrupted, silencing the Treecko who finally realised just what he had done and immediately fell silent again before turning to adress Kaika {Suffice to say that there are some people who do not appreciate us travelling like we do, and that Harlan is the one who usually does their work for them.}

Kaika nodded in comprehension, not wanting to risk agitating Chupon further and returning to his usual state of silence instead as he glanced up at Rai.

{So, where bes we goings now?} he asked at last, nudging the boy's leg slightly. There was something about that cleaning plant that made the Vulpix shudder without even knowing why, and he would much have prefered to move on as soon as possible.

"Oh, that's just what I'm thinking about, actually." Rai replied absent-mindedly before he stopped, blinking as he realized whose question he had just answered "Vulpix?" he asked, turning to the fox pok?mon again, "Did I just answer your question?"

Kaika tilted his head, {Yes you dids.} he replied, slightly confused by this new line of questioning, {Kaika thinkings that bes a nice thing to do. Why bes you askings?}

"Umm...never mind." Rai replied, shrugging as he only heard the usual 'vuul's and 'pix's again. Maybe he had just imagined it after all. "Maybe we should just go back instead..." he trailed off, casting an absent-minded glance at the building on the other side of the fence when a voice so faint that he couldn't even be sure that he had heard it suddenly caught his ears.

{Help!}

Rai froze, turning his full attention to the building in front of him and perking up his ears in an attempt to catch the voice again, but hearing nothing. The boy shrugged, it had probably just been the wind...but, he could have sworn that he had just seen something pass in the water too...Rai gasped in realization. What if a wild pok?mon had been sucked up into the pipes? Whatever mechanism was used for that sort of thing probably wasn't built to be pok?mon friendly.

"Change of plans, guys!" he called to his pok?mon, all of them now giving him quizzical looks, "We're going to check out that cleaning plant."

OOC:

Pwhee! Made an IC again. ^-^ Anyways, I'm having Rai being absent a bit longer here because I just came up with a foreshadow for a pok?mon I want him to have. He won't get it in a good while yet, but this is the perfect place to foreshadow it. ^^ Anyone want to make a guess at what pok?mon it is? I came up with adding it to Rai's team quite lately. XD

OOC: Ah, well, it's good to have you back Alter. I enjoy RPing with you! You remind me a lot of a friend of mine I rarely get to see. She was my best friend in high school, and I miss her. Seriously though, the way you act/write is sooo like her it's almost scary. ... You're not her are you?!! O___O j/k ^^

And I like putting Zachary in odd situations. ^-^ Phwee!

Now I get to write a battle... >.> I'll try to make it short, I don't want to bore you guys. And forgive me if the battling isn't perfect. I tend to like the anime-style battling better than game-style. *hides behind giant Meowth plushie*

Zachary
=========

Zachary watched the Murkrow at Raven's side suspiciously. Luka seemed so freaked out by it... but nothing seemed unusual. It looked like a regular pokemon, its sleek and shiny black feathers coming to the usual Murkrow-styled head shape like a witch's hat. Zachary decided a quick discussion was in order. He crouched down to Luka and Ron.

"Hey," he said in a hushed voice, "I know Ron will be okay battling, but you seem pretty shaken up by that Murkrow, Luka. Are you gonna be able to battle?" Zachary didn't want to force her, based on his previous experiences with the Zigzagoon, that would probably not be best.

Luka looked scared at first, and she stared with a shaky head at Zachary and then Ron. {Do I really have a choice in the matter?} she said with a hint of her original zeal.

"Er, no. But I'll just call off the battle if you don't want to," Zachary said with both concern and hurt, his pride and heart having a battle in his mind.

Ron leaned over and threw out a determined look. {Luka! I don't know why you're afraid of that Murkrow, but the best way to get over that fear is to fight it! Defeat that demon in your mind, and then you'll be free of its control!} the little Aron said seriously.

"Wow... demons Ron?" Zachary said with a hint of a smirk.

{Hey, I'm trying to be dramatic here, okay?} Ron said with an annoyed glare at Zachary.

Luka ignored the two though... Ron was right. She was afraid of the dark bird. It was a fear that her whole clan had shared. It was something that was as basic to her as drinking water, so it was very hard to control. Though, the Aron was right; Luka feared no one, and she wanted to beat it.

{I'll make sure nothing happens to you Luka!} Ron said, trying to reassure her.

"Yes, and if things get dangerous, I'll stop. I know it's a bit unheard of to forfeit a battle, but I don't care," Zachary said, patting the Zigzagoon on the head.

Luka nodded. {You're all right. I will fight. I want you to put me against that thing Zachary. Let me be the one to defeat it,} the furry normal type said seriously.

Zachary nodded back. "You got it."

"HEY!" shouted a voice, "You comin' or what?! I'm not gonna wait all day for you boy!" It was Raven, she looked a bit more impatient that before, and the smirk had gone from her face. Her Murkrow flapped lazily at her side, eyeing Luka with curiousity, and there was another pokemon too.

A pokemon that Zachary recognized... an Absol. Zachary squinted a bit. Could she be...?

OOC: Meep! I'll start the battle in the next post. I've gotta go play with my bunny. =3 He hasn't gotten to come out of his cage much today. And he keeps grudges too. o.o Dun mess with Umbra.

OOc-
Aw,Titan.Kinda boring without no one to swap patterns with,or just add that sting of pain into one's brain with his funny words and eye-numbing posts,ya know?XD
Seriously,missed you and tis good to have you back.^^

Wonder when my mom's going to shorten my computer privelleges..o.o
My new school's better than I expected.Now,if only I could learn how to say the stuff like the pledge/school song in Chinese.>_<
But if I've a lack of posting,it be most likely cause I'm too busy adjusting to my new school,so no one go and like,worry kay'?XP

And like,Umbra's a real cool name for a rabbit,Melissi.^^

Ic-

Jena had finally managed to catch up with Zachary,having been guided by a mysterious blue spot she had seen from a distance.Only to find out a girl who appeared out of nowehere had challenged him to a double battle.There was Luka,but the Zigzagoon looked oddly shaken for some reason.

The girl,however,had her attention somewhere else.Raven's blue hair was so standout,that that must've been the small dot of blue that she had spotted earlier.The outfit didn't seem as outrageous as the hair.But it was a punkish-looking outfit either way.Overall,Raven seemed way too..what was the word?No,there wasn't a word Jena could use to describe her,Zhena would have reprimanded the punkgirl,even if she wasn't her daughter.

{Go Ron!Good luck,Luka!You can do it,yes?}Cascade had reached long before his trainer,shouting encouragments to the Zigzagoon and Aron.The Ralts beside him folded her arms and gave a nod to the two pokemon who were about to battle with the Murkow and Absol.{Oh,fine!}Ryne waved one hand at the Mudkip as he proceeded to nudge her with one of his blue paws.

{Good luck to both of you.I am positive that you two will pull off a grand win!}she smiled,bowing to Luka and Aron.Tania had kept herself airborne for awhile already,wanting to rest her wings,the Flying type landed on Jena's shoulder.This was one human where she felt rather safe around,it was a strange feeling the Gutsy Pokemon couldn't really describe.

Jena glanced at the Tailow on her shoulder,half-smiling and not really knowing what to say.

{Come on!One mus' bee entoo 'e' astick!Ce bou plate(*wonders if she spelt it correctly*)?}Tania chirped in a high tone,giving Zachary's pokemon a wink,if they were even looking at her that was.

"Good luck,Zach!"she managed,not giving a Feebas to the chirps the Tailow on her shoulder.Jena wasn't the least bit 'enthusiastic' she didn't like battles.And,Raven didn't look like the girl who'd go easy on you,not with that beautiful Murkrow.And Absol.

Weren't Absol's signs of disasters about to happen?

OOC: Dang, you're too sharp for me Melissa...>.< Yes, you have found me out; I am your long lost high school friend! *Dramatic drumroll*

...

Nah, just kidding of course. XD But I remind you of a girl? *Blinks* Now there's something I don't hear every day. Although I do believe someone mentioned something along those lines to me once before. Something about a character I made being hauntingly similar to a character made by someone who was a friend of someone. Must be that cross-gender RPing leaving it's mark on me. o.O

...cool. XD But yes,

Oh, and thanks for the compliment. I enjoy RPing with you too, but I do believe you knew that already. ^-^

And thanks for the welcome, Yibber. ^^ Rest assured that I shall torment you all with longish posts and polysyllabic lexemes once more. Kekekeee! >D

Still, I notice a disturbing lack of people around here. *Peers around thread* Where bes Flissie? Computer troubles again? o.O Plushie promised to post again once she got the chance, so yeah, and Charon...well, she's got school to worry about too, maybe she forgot? Hmm...will have to ask her about that once she gets online again methinks.

Anyway, onto the foreshadow episode!

IC:

"Almost there...heh, just like good old times, eh Ashu?" Rai asked, chuckling quietly as he reached his free hand a bit higher so as to get a proper grip of the next segment of fence.

{I fail to see what was good about them.} the mantis pok?mon replied bitterly, casting another wary glance at her surroundings, a frown of displeasure etched onto her face.

The group had moved to a less conspicious spot by the fence where the boy had decided to attempt climbing over it while Ashura stood guard and Chupon and Kaika simply sat there and watched. Luckily, the security around the cleaning plant was hardly strict by any measure; just a sturdy steel fence, a couple of lazy guards by the main gate, and an old, and rather poorly planed, camera surveilance system. For one who had scaled the sizeable wall around the LeBlaque manor numerous times, eluding a number of Isabel's trained and far more alert guardsmen while he was at it, it was hardly a challenge, although the sun was still shining brightly at the boy's back as he finally got a grip around the upper edge of the fence, and he was all too aware that he was not only sweating quite a bit but had also managed to dirty his attire a bit more. The boy sighed quietly as he heaved himself on top of the fence and dropped himself down on the ground on the other side with a small thud, his knees buckling slightly under the impact even though he had done his best to diminish it. His stealth skills needed some rehearsing it seemed.

The boy absent-mindedly ran a hand through his hair as he turned back to adress his pok?mon feeling a particularly strong urge to take a shower, or better yet, a nice long bath, and a change of clothes. That would have to wait, though. He had a pok?mon to rescue.

"Chupon, Ashura, return." he said, bringing out the two pok?balls and recalling both the Treecko and the Scyther into them, a preferable choice to having them scale the fence in his opinion, even though he knew that they were both quite capable of it. Well, at least Ashura was. Suddenly, the boy became painfully aware of that there was something he had forgotten to factor into his plan, or rather, someone; Kaika. And the Vulpix seemed to have realized this as well, standing on the other side of the fence and looking distinctly abandoned.

"Now how to get you over here?" Rai thought out loud, giving the fox pok?mon a thoughtful look. He was not given much time to ponder this however as he became aware of the sound of footsteps heading his way.

"Vulpix." he said quietly, leaning closer to the fire type, "You know how to find your way to the pok?mon center, right?"

Kaika looked a bit uncertain, and none too happy, about where the boy's line of thought was going but nodded.

"Good." Rai replied, "I want you to go there while I poke around here, find Amelia. She'll take care of you, I'm sure. If I don't come back then try to find Jena and the others, they'll look after you."

The sound of the guard's footsteps became even clearer; step, step, step...just a few more turns away now...and Kaika, he was just sitting there, looking confused and scared.

"Go!" Rai hissed quietly, emphasising his words with hand gestures.

{But-} the Vulpix objected.

"Just go! Please! Don't worry about me, I've done this before! I just don't want you to get hurt!"

{But...} Kaika looked like he was about to burst out into tears. This was all far too scary for his tastes, and this talk about 'not coming back' was something the little Vulpix just didn't want to hear, not when what his old master had done was so fresh in mind. The urgency behind the boy's words didn't fail to reach him however, and the fire type finally gave a reluctant nod, turning around and dashing down the street, soon vanishing from sight. Rai didn't have the chance to watch the Vulpix go however, as there had already been more than enough time wasted. The boy quickly lunged for cover, namely, a small group of trash cans lying in the shade by the structure, just beneath a sizeable set of glass windows. To the left, the wall stretched out with similar windows appearing on regular intervals until it suddenly came to an abrupt halt by the point where the river ran in under the facility, whereas to the right, a small staircase led to an side entrance into the building, the only exception to the otherwise solid wall that ran all the way to the corner where it turned to form the main front of the cleaning plant. On a normal day, Rai would never have been seen anywhere near such a filthy place, but considering the circumstances, he really didn't have a choice. Holding his nose and doing his best to ignore the revolting stench wafting up from some of the cans, carelessly left half-open, the boy quickly dropped to a crouch between the metallic containers, trying to stay as quiet and unnoticable as possible and keeping his senses peeled for the footsteps of the guard, only to find, much to his confusion, that they were nowhere to be heard. Too cautious to rise up just yet, Rai stayed in hiding for a few more minutes, but when there seemed to be no end to the silence around him and when the boy came to feel the distinct hunch that there was a Rattata nibbling on his shoelaces he finally stood up, although still rather cautiously, brushing of the worst of the dirt from his clothes before slowly edging his way towards the side entrance. By now he had come to the conclusion that if the darnable thing would be locked, which it probably was, then he would just forget about the whole affair and leave. This crouching in dirty places and dirtying of his clothes, not to mention himself, was nothing like the grand escapes Rai had made from his own home and he felt quite betrayed. What am I even doing here, anyway? he wondered, It was probably just some small piece of metal trash in the river or something. I should have listened to Ashu...

As he approached the staircase, the boy temporarily pushed these thoughts out of his mind, focusing on the task ahead instead. He peered around his surroundings for one last time, looking for any suspicious movement or sound but hearing nothing but the monotonous gurgling of the river as it dissapeared into the depths of the facility. Gathering his courage, Rai finally took his chance, swiftly making his way to the door and trying the handle. To his surprise, it turned effortlessly, the door to the cleaning plant swinging open, although the hinges did give off a creak which sounded painfully loud to Rai's ears. Feeling even more confused than before but knowing that this was the wrong time and place to be pondering such things the boy quickly ducked inside, closing the door behind him as quietly as he could.

Meanwhile, safely hidden from view behind a sizeable water storage tank only a short distance away, Harlan smiled in a definitely contented manner "That's right, boy..." he said, giving of a cold, mirthless chuckle, "Run, run like the wind."

"Mmmpph!"

"Quiet you." the man said coldly, giving the sorry bundle of cloth which contained the guardsman he had just picked off a stern kick in the area where the ribs would probably have been located, causing the man inside to wince "You're spoiling the show."

OOC: Ehh...this little venture turned out a good bit longer than I expected so I decided to split it into two parts at least, have patience folks. ^-^

{ooc| my brain imploded. It's the only explanation.
ALSO, I finished reading Ptolemy's Gate. Are any of you guys reading the Bartimaeus book trilogy? Johnathon Stroud...? I guess not, as they're English books... it's a brilliant series, I cried lots at the end. ;;
That's my excuse. I was grieving too much to make it to my keyboard.
Is it a psyduck, by any chance? I need an oppurtunity to get Rosairie's golduck out, Vampress is a nasty piece of work... >D}

Maxie had wandered slowly after the group. She wasn't really interested in the scene unfolding in front of her; Fang was still shaken by his healing, and Maxie never was quite herself after someone else had handled her zubat. It just seemed... wrong. Fang was a part of her, in more ways than wrong; letting a stranger heal him was like letting a stranger see her bare. It just shouldn't happen. Of course, often they had no choice...
Memories surfaced briefly, but Maxie thrust them back into the depths of her mind.

She peered at Zachary warily. "What's going on...?"
Her eyes fell on the Absol. Disaster. she thought, without thinking. Fang fluttered closer to her, and Maxie grabbed him out of the air and pulled him closer.
"What do you want?" Maxie demanded, automatically defensive. She didn't like punks. She didn't like Murkrows. Back at base... her Team used the ghastly birds as communication. Unlike e-mails and normal postal methods, they couldn't be tracked; they could carry important information and dangerous weapons without risk.
She glanced at Zachary. "Are you sure about this?" she asked, her voice hard. She had no trust for those that used dark types - and she had even less for the punks that daubed their eyes in heavy makeup and dyed their hair obscene colours. She closed her own purple eyes, and her thoughts darted to Rai. What was he playing at, charging off like that? Stupid, stupid boy... now Sephy was even further away than before.

{ooc| short... also, Umbra is an awesome name. Nearly as good as Poe. My hamsters were: (in order) Lucky (101 dalmations), Mario, Charmy (as in, charmander. she was exactly that colour), Samus (metroid) and Peach (from mario). They all kicked butt xD
EDIT: Charmy coloured hamster
Charmy was slightly darker than this... she really was charmander coloured. I shall find some photos and scan them at school, she was such a groovy little thing. Peach was blonde and vain, Samus was a grey colour, actually called 'smoke pearl' and she was very adventurous, Mario was black/brown and he had black cheek flashes (sideburns), and Lucky was...unlucky. He got murdered by a cat ;; He was boring coloured though.
Man I was obsessed with hamsters... I think I'm gonna get another one, they are just so groovy!
EDIT: this is your fault, Melissa.}

OOC: Heh, sorry Alter, didn't mean to say you were girly. ^^; Actually, the particular friend I'm thinking of is a girl, but only really acts like a girl in the sense that she likes boys. Other than that, she's pretty guy-ish. So, I'm actually saying that you act like a girl that acts like a boy.

... Erm... hm, I think I know why I gave Zachary that problem with expressing what he meant. That's me!! XD

And thanks for the nice comments on Umbra's name! I wanted something unique, and it was after I had taken an Astronomy class in college in which I learned about the penumbra and umbra of the moon's shadowy part. I had realized that reason Umbreon was called Umbreon was probably because it was a dark pokemon and was black and shadowy and stuff.

I actually wanted a white rabbit when I went looking for one. I wanted a white rabbit with upright ears. However, I saw my wittle Umbies and knew that he was the one. Plus, he seemed the most interested in me. Oddly enough though, he's black with floppy ears. The exact opposite of what I wanted. ^-^

Ooh! I do have a picture of him. I'll have ta' put it as an attatchment though seeing as my imageshack account's being weird. =^-^=

Hamsters are cool Charon. I remember my friends in elementary school having pet hamsters. They're adorable. Makes me think of that anime Hamtaro! ^.^ I used to watch that once in a while (even though it's for like 5 year olds >_>;). And yayness for naming pets after things you like! Like my two fishies, Ash and Misty!

Uh... before I make my OOC bigger than my IC, I'd better start writing and stop chatting...

Zachary
===========

Raven gave Zachary a suspicious look. Why was he looking at her like that? She noticed Maxie's comments about her, and smirked.

"What'sa matter girlie? Scared or something?" she said in a mocking voice, a bit amused that the girl even thought of her as something of a threat, "If it helps, I promise you I'm only here to earn a badge, and nothing more."

"It's okay," Zachary said to Maxie, "I wanted to battle anyway." He smiled.

Zachary raised an eyebrow at the new pokemon that had been brought out. It was an Absol alright, it's fluffy white fur was swirling around its neck like some sort of spiky cloud, and it narrowed its eyes at both Ron and Luka. Then it dug its ebony black nails into the ground a bit. This would be a fun fight.

"I have a question though before we start," Zachary said, in a bit of a strange voice, "Are you related to Xena the gym leader?"

Raven's eyebrows lifted up to what seemed as far as they could go. She stood there for a moment, unsure as to how to respond to that particular statement, and then smirked. "So what's it to you?"

"My mother knew your mother, am I right? You're Xena's daughter aren't you?" Zachary said, feeling even more sure of himself. He had seen Raven before. She was once a part of a gang that had gotten in big trouble with the government for being involved with several murders. Raven had claimed she wasn't involved in it, and she hadn't ever been connected to the event, but she had been pushed into the spotlight anyway because of her connections to Xena.

"Shut your mouth! That woman's not my mom! Let's just battle, I didn't come here to talk about her," Raven said with more than a hint of anger, "Nundu use Swords Dance, and Augurey use Calm Mind!"

Obviously by the way they were moving, Nundu was the Absol, while Augurey was the Murkrow. Zachary was a bit taken by surprise that the battle had started so abruptly.

"W-wait!!" he said but then decided to change tactics as it was clear that Raven had no plans on waiting any longer, "Fine, Luka start off with Sand Attack and Ron start off with Tackle and stop that Calm Mind!"

OOC: Meep! Gotta go. My brother's going for a check-up and I've gotta get out of this house today or I'll go insane. @_@

AHHHH!!! I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!! Silver screamed with her head.. First it was Amelia that Zachary was paying more attention to.. Now it's this Raven girl.. And now they even had to battle.. Like what the others say.. Battling is like the best way to get to know each other more.. I mean like.. NO BATTLING!!!!!! That Raven girl is really gonna be much of a threat.. I mean.. Zachary and her knows each other so well.. They're childhood friends and.. and.. She clenched her right fist and began punching her fist on the left hand.. I'm gonna kill this Raven!!

{Up to being weird again..} Miruka muttered..

OCC: Sorry for not posting.. Meh ish loving the new school so much.. Meh and meh other two new good friends ish joining CHOIR!! All of ya' people here's gonna listen ta' meh sing everyday!! MWAHAHA!! Let meh start..

"I am beautiful, no matter what they say, words can't bring me down.. I am beautiful, in every single way, yes words can't bring me down.. Ohh no.. So don't you bring me down today"

*gets brick'd*

OOC: Ehh, nope. It ain't a Psyduck (Not nearly graceful enough for a priss like Rai ^-^), it's a dragon it is. Well, it will become obvious in this IC.

Oh, and Umra is really cute, Melissa! ^-^ As for the acting-like-a-girl-acting-like-a-boy thing...oh, more coolness! XD Hehee, that makes me sound real RPish, being able to sound like someone of the opposite gender who mostly acts like the opposite of her gender. Pwhee! Beat that if you can! XDD

But seriously Melissa, no worries. I know you didn't mean it like that. ^-^

EDITNESS: Yay! I managed to get my IC in after all! ^0^ *Confetti* I'll have Rai join up with the rest just as soon as he lets the Dratini back off on her way. ^-^

IC:

{Remind me again why we're doing this...} Ashura muttered quietly as Rai peered around yet another corner, noticing a walkway as deserted as the ones before. The boy had unleashed the mantis pok?mon from her pok?ball to help explore the facility, although her lack of appreciation for the importance of the whole mission was astounding, not to mention demoralising.

"I told you..." he whispered back as the duo snuck across another section of metallic floor, feeling the metallic plates sink down just a bit under his weight at every footstep and dreading every noise they made when doing so "There was a pok?mon in that river that was carried inside. Didn't you hear it too?"

The Scyther scowled, {No I didn't.} she replied truthfully, her voice serious, {There was no sound beyond that of the river, and us. I have been trained to be able to hear the sound of a single snowflake striking the ground near me with ease and I was on full alert. Are you seriously suggesting that you heard something that I didn't?}

Rai sighed, now more confused than before. Somehow he was simply positive that he had heard a voice, a feminine voice calling for help from the water, "Look, I know it sound strange but I also know what I heard, allright?" he asked in response, his voice more snappish than usual, "If you don't believe me then fine. I'll do it myself. Happy?"

Ashura's scowl worsened {There's no need for such a tone.} she replied in an unsually cold voice, {And I will have none of this going-by-myself nonsense. If you're so adamant about doing this then come on, the sooner we get out of here the better.}

With that, the mantis pok?mon quickened her pace, heading towards a downward staircase latched onto the side of the walkway.

For a moment Rai simply stood on his spot, watching the bug type's motions with a sad look on his face. He hadn't meant to snap like that, truth to be told, the boy was surprised that he even had such manners in him. He couldn't really blame Ashu for being sceptical, heck, he was still unsure of why he was so convinced of the event himself, all he knew was that there was someone there, and that that someone had called for him. The boy's expression shifted to determined again as he picked up the pace too, heading down the staircase while still trying to let out as little noise as possible, even though such stealth seemed to be completely unnecessary, seeing as how they had yet to encounter another living being within the facility. This was not to say that it was quiet however, not by any means. Countless pipes of varying thickness and colour snaked their way in all directions across the walls and sometimes out or into the floor, cryptical numbers and letters scribbled on them in white and small spouts of steam escaping from some of them with low hisses while others let out various peculiar odors. From all around Rai, the rhytmic rumble of heavy pieces of metal in constant motion reached his ears, mixing with the peculiar beeping sounds emitted by various complicated-looking electronic devices bunched up in small groups here and there, mysterious diagrams, lights, monitors, and a few buttons and levers located here and there. Apparently the cleaning plant was an automatized one, hence the lack of people encounters. And of course, there was the ever-present drone of running water, a sound that became clearer as the boy reached what seemed to be the second of three floors, gazing down over the railing at the mass of water running in a straight line just below and heading towards a large pipe which went straight forward until it reached the wall, at which point it was split into various smaller pipes, each heading in their own direction. The sheer size of it all was astounding to Rai, and he was suddenly struck by a feeling of hopelessness. How on earth could he possibly find that pok?mon, a pok?mon whose species he didn't even know, amongst all of this? And how could he find her in time? If indeed there was someone to find then she would probably be headed for the pipes any minute.

"Ashu..." he said, noticing that the mantis pok?mon was standing close by and staring suspiciously at a security camera, the unlit light on it signifying that it was, for some undiscernable reason (repairs perhaps?), not on at the moment.

{Yes?} she replied coldly, still not turning to face her trainer.

Rai sighed, taking a moment to formulate his sentence, "I-I'm sorry about snapping at you..." he said at last, "I know this whole thing seems like a foolish idea and I know you were just looking out for my best interest, but-"

{That's quite enough.} Ashura replied, raising one hand to silence the boy, {I know that you'll never change your mind once you get an idea in your head, so there's really no point in arguing about something that can't be changed. Or apologising about it...just forget the whole thing. We've got more important things to do, no?}

The boy nodded, smiling as he realized that this was probably as emotional as the temperamental bug type would ever get, "Yeah, you're right. Thanks, Ashu." he gave the Scyther a small pat on the back, "Now let's check out-"

{Help!}

Rai's sentence was cut short as he heard the cry of the familiar voice again, far clearer this time, although still as frightened as ever. He quickly whipped around, staring intently at the river until he noticed something; a head, smooth and covered with purple scales, bearing two slightly pointed white ears at both sides briefly poked out of the water, its two large, frightened, beetle black eyes staring hopelessly up towards the ceiling as the creature attempted to struggle against the current, only to dissapear from view again as the watermass lurched again.

"Over there!" Rai called, pointing towards the spot where he had seen the creature, "Ashu! We need to help that pok?mon before it reaches those pipes! We need-" he cast a quick glance at his surroundings, his eyes soon falling on the thin but sturdy support beams located at fairly small intervals along the edges of the level to keep the one above up "Ashu! Cut down that support beam! Swords Dance and Slash! Go!"

The mantis pok?mon didn't need telling twice, brifely gathering momentum by speeding up before delivering two quick slashes two different parts of it before landing at it with her feet first, quickly jumping off again as the support beam took a merry flying tour downwards, landing with a large splash in the water below and wedging between the right-hand edge of the pipe and the edge of the floor.

Still in full excitement, Rai rushed down the last flight of stairs, throwing all caution to the winds as he lifted up both his hands to his mouth and yelled towards the water at the top of his lungs;

"The pipe! Latch onto the pipe!"

There was more struggling visible in the water, white and purple scales shimmering in the electric lighting as the creature flitted in and out of view. By the time Rai had reached the bottom floor and rushed over however, there was indeed something latched onto the severed support beam, a small, soaked, and very shaken looking Dratini clinging to it with all her might, shivering visibly from the exhaustion.

The boy leant down to the little dragon pok?mon, heaving a sigh of relief.

"It's allright..." he said softly, giving the frightened creature a friendly smile as he slowly reached his right hand towards it, trying his best to calm himself down so as to not frighten the creature more "I'm a friend...are you allright? We need to get you onto dry land. Here..." he reached his hand a bit closer so that the Dratini would be able to use it for climbing material.

For a moment, the Dratini simply clung to her spot, staring at the boy with her large eyes before she suddenly sprang to life, smoothly uncoiling from the pipe and lunging straight at Rai, wrapping around the boy's waist in what was probably a hug.

{Thank you!} the little dragon squeaked out, beaming at him, {Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!}

{I swear, girl!} Ashura, who had just made her way down, growled, giving the Dratini a fierce stare {You have no scruples!}

The little dragon, apparently a good bit younger than the mantis pok?mon blushed heavily at the statement, immediately uncoiling from around Rai and taking up a spot on the floor, staring down in embarssment.

{Sorry...} she muttered, {Sorry, sorry, sorry...I was just...so happy to be saved...}

{Being happy is all well and good.} Ashura replied, {But jumping out in a blind show of affection on every male who happens to make you happy is no way for a dignified female to live. Keep your emotions under control girl, lest they control you.}

{Y-yes ma'm.} the Dratini replied, looking even more flustered and embarassed than before.

Rai rolled his eyes. They had hardly known each other for more than a couple of seconds, and already Ashura seemed to have taken up being the nagging mother for the poor Dratini. What confused Rai however, was that, for some reason, he could understand the Dratini's speech perfectly, as if they had known each other for a long time. he felt a strange warm sensation in his chest too, although that could just be a reaction to the stress he had been under for the last couple of minutes.

"Really, it's no problem." the boy said, attempting to let the poor dragon pok?mon of the hook before Ashura came with more disciplinary statements, "I'm Raistlin, Rai for short, and this is Ashura." he gestured towards the Scyther, "Is there something we could do to help?"

The Dratini looked up a bit, giving Rai a gratefull smile, {Help...me?} she asked, {But you-you saved my life already, I can't possibly ask you to-}

"Please do." Rai interrupted, "Really, I don't mind. I came all this way to help you so I might as well do it properly. Besides, there's no harm in asking."

{You-you are very nice, Rai...}the dragon pok?mon said softly, {I-I suppose it would help if you took me out of here and into clear water again. I can make it on my own from there. It was just because of my own carelessness that I ended up here.} she grinned sheepishly {I-I was floating around in the river when I fell asleep you see...and when I woke up, the current had already caught a hold of me. That's when I screamed...and you came...} she smiled again, {Oh, how rude of me! I forgot to introduce myself.} the Dratini straightened her pose, bowing gracefully to Rai and Ashura {My name is Tenari, although people usually just call me Ten-ten because they say I have a habit for repeating words...} she grinned sheepishly again, {It's a pleasure to meet you both.}

{Likewise, I'm sure...} Ashura replied in a dispassionate voice, attempting to steer her gaze and thoughts as far away from the annoyingly exhubrant young Dratini as she could {Now if you two are quite done chatting, might I suggest that we leave before they dispatch someone to check on that support beam?} she gestured towards the severed piece of metal which was still wedged between the pipe and the platform and seemed to have started bending under the stress.

"Oh, you're right." Rai said, quickly getting up, "Well Tenari, it's time to go. You can take the rider on my arm if you want."

The Dratini nodded, quickly coiling up around the boy's right arm, and the trio set off up the stairs again with all due haste.

Meanwhile on the outskirts of Azure Town, Kaika came to a halt, now realizing that he was indeed quite lost and feeling even worse than before. The Vulpix anxiously sniffed the air in his surroundings, hoping to find a familiar smell and contemplating whether he should take the risk and try to roar for help. He decided against it however, as a familiar scent caught his nostrils, plenty of familiar scents in fact; it was them! The people who had been with Rai! And they all seemed to have gone, Kaika gulped, into the forest again...for a moment, the fox pok?mon stood by the edge of the trees, hesitant about whether he should enter or not, but he finally came to a decision, gathering his courage and dashing into the forest at full speed, eyes closed so as to make it less scary. And so, the Vulpix darted blindly among the trees until his head suddenly came into contact with something hard that caused him to fall backwards and look up. It wasn't a tree he had bumped into though, no, it was a leg, a dungaree-clad leg, Maxie's leg. Kaika let out a small whimper, unsure of what to do next.

"This feels wrong for some reason." Kayley commented from the spot where she had been standing for the past few minutes, swinging her trumpet case a little just because she was starting to feel nervous, especially after the appearence of that Absol. It just creeped her out more than most Pokemon did.. She found it especially frightening when the Absol began to perform a Swords Dance.

Fishy stared on towards the middle of the battlefield, now caught in watching the battle start abruptly. {You don't have to comment like that.. Indirect insults aren't very nice and Kayley knows it.} The Mudkip said, nodding firmly.

"Oh, and like you don't.." Kayley retorted, rolling her eyes, although the fact that she was still nervous made her continue swinging her case to and fro.

The Mudkip opened his mouth to make a sharp response, but decided against it when he saw Kinaki approach the field from her spot in the brush, still clutching that Oran Berry inbetween her tiny paws. The Mawile seemed to be humming a small tune to herself, not caring in the least that she was a bit behind in regards to arrival time.

Great, now the weird Murkrow is the least of my worries.. I need another lifeline. The Mud Fish thought to himself, sulking on his spot on Kayley's head.

Like,we went to visit our Maths teacher today!
As in,our ex-maths teacher.She actually resigned from my old school before the first day of school!(Truthfully,she wanted to resign in the middle of last year.But our ex-principal told her to stay cause she was teaching a graduating class(mine!X3))
She actually resigned straight after we graduated!>_<

We managed to find her.She went to work in a tuition center.Course,we had to find the correct one.*ish so thankful that Singapore ish small*
We mistook 'Kentridge' for 'Cambridge'.

We went to the Cambridge Center.And after talking for 10minutes,the lady receptionist dude said,'Or are you talking about the Kentridge Center?'

She pointed to the Tuition Center beside Cambridge.

Gah,I ish so blur.X_X
Yes,so it turned out that we mistook the tuition center for the one beside it.How Feebas can anyone get??XD

Umbra's real cute,Melissi.^^
And Flissi,you sure you want to join Choir??X3

"Everything about battling is wrong."Jena said simply upon hearing Kayley's statement,folding her arms.Kayley had a point however,even though battling was bad to begin with,(well to herself at least)something was going on.Zachary had mentioned that Xena person again.The more that name was mentioned,the more it felt familiar to her.Bah,probably someone Zhena had mentioned before,it wasn't really of any importance either way.

{Go Ron!Go Luka!}Cascade cheered as the battle began,Nundu and Augurey looked like tough opponents,but the Mudkip had his utmost faith in them to win anyway.Even if it gave him a rather spooky feeling about the dreadful...battle training.Ryne,stood in the exact same way her trainer was,crossed arms,not giving off any sort of expression on her face,neutral was what it was called.

{This won't end well..}the Psychic type mumbled,leaning against one of Jena's leg.

{Look!Is Kaika,yes??}Cascade jumped up,the blue fin on his head flapping back and forth.The Mud fish pointed one paw towards the forest.And sure enough,moments later,a Vulpix had emerged from the greenery and banged into Maxie's leg.

{Hey,Kaika!}the Water type grinned,poking Ryne.

{Always a pleasure to see you,Kaika..}the Ralts said in a voice which lacked emotion,turning back to watch the battle between Zach and Raven.

Jena jumped up at the sound of an unmistakable 'thud' sound,eyes focusing on a ball of red at her friend's feet.

"Hey,Maxie!"the girl pointed to Kaika.Was this the Vulpix which belonged to Rai?Where was the boy and his other pokemon?

{ooc| SCRUPLES!! Yaaay! My friends actually say 'gosh girl, do you ahve no scruples?' to me a lot because of all the shameless flirting/uncough things I do. I'm so naughty ._. That would have had my English class roaring with laughter, just the word is enough to spur on an entire 'take over the classroom' riot. I thought it meant screwing something into your eyeballs at first... ^^;
*kidnaps Umbra* that it just so cute. I have a story about buying rabbits, but I'll tell that later. Too tired now.}

Fang cheered. {Yay, Go on, you can- hey...} he paused.
Maxie glanced down at Kaika, her face furious and her eyes in shadow. To anyone looking up at her, it would have been quite unnerving. The fact that her purple-streaked-with-black eyes just became darker than usual was a heart attack waiting to happen by itself.
"What do you think you're-" she began, in her fiercest voice, until she noticed it was in fact a vulpix at her feet. She melted. "D'awwww!" she cooed her voice now buttery soft, "what're you doing down there? You poor little thing, don't worry about banging into me, just carry on your way..."

She glanced up at Jena's exclamation.
"What's wrong?" she asked the girl.
Fang giggled. {It's Kaika! See how his fur furls on his back? It's definetly Kaika!}
"T-that's...Rai's pokemon..." her face went icy white. "Crap, maybe he's hurt somewhere??" she yelped, glancing from Jena, to Kayley, to Zachary. "We've got to go find Rai, if he let his vulpix just wander off he might..." she trailed off.
Why was she so concerned all of a sudden? It was just a boy. Just Rai. Why bother plagueing herself with worry? That was the sort of thing...normal people did. She was only concerned because she had lost her passport to Sephy. Yeah. That was all...

OOc-
Do the humans know Kaika's name yet??
Gah,I must've forgetton about it happening if it happened.>_<

Ic-

She was right,it was indeed Rai's Vulpix.

"What?No way.Impossible,eh!You can't jump onto assumptions straight away,Maxie!Rai probably asked the Vulpix to.."Jena had no idea how to finish her sentence.One couldn't just assume something like that just because of an apperance of his pokemon.But,the boy didn't look like the type to actually let his pokemon wander around.Had something really happened to Rai?

"No,no.Impossible."the girl repeated herself,not wanting to believe,and yet..

{Kaika!Where is Chupon and Ashurey and Rai,no?}Cascade asked the Vulpix,his fin could detect no other movement in the area,had the Fire type come on his own?

{Its Ashura,Cassy.}Ryne corrected her friend,before turning to the fox.

{But yes,where are the other people?}

"And,if you look here,Zachary's having a battle."Jena pointed out,taking note to look away from the battlefield.Okay,if they were going to search for Rai,she wouldn't mind.As long as she got to leave and not view the battle that was taking place.

"Though,I wouldn't mind going to look for him with,Maxie!"she suggested,nodding to the girl which looked oddly paler than usual.Yes,atleast she'd have a reason to get away from the ugly battle.

OOC: Eh, Fang knows Kaika's name and he told Maxie so...yeah, they do know his name now, I suppose. ^-^

IC:

Kaika backed away in fear at Maxie's ferocious scowl, curling up and looking even more frightened than before. When the girl broke of into a cooing fit however, the Vulpix slowly calmed down, especially when Fang and some others intervened and explained the situation to the girl.

In response to the various questions concerning Rai's whereabouts, Kaika was hesitant for a moment, unsure of what he should tell them, or what he shouldn't. But then again, the fox pok?mon couldn't shake the feeling that the nice boy was in trouble and that he needed to help him. But how to explain? He was so confused himself.

{Umm...Kaika bes not sure...} he muttered in an embarassed way, {Kaika bes fleeings with Rai and the others from the nasty person when they come to this big building and then Rai says that him bes hearings something and that him bes wantings to check and then we bes all goings to the big fence and him bes climbings over before returnings Chupon and Ashura. Only Kaika, him bes not havings a pok?ball, so Rai say Kaika should go to the pok?mon center and waitings there so that him not bes gettings into trouble, only this city bes so very big and Kaika bes so very small and him bes gettings confused and endings up at all wrong place...} the Vulpix snivelled a bit, {And-and then Kaika bes smellings familiar scent of all you people from the big scary forest and him bes wonderings wether to go in or not but him decidings to go because-} the fox pok?mon sniffed louder, tears beginning to roll down his cheeks, {Because Rai sayings that him might not comings back from the scary place and Kaika thinkings him might beings in trouble!}

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The remainder of the escape was a fairly simple matter for Rai and the pok?mon as the severed support beam had, just like Ashura had predicted, indeed attracted the attention of the facility personell, several of them rushing right past as the group hid in a shadowed corner, pressed tightly against the wall, and once they had gotten outside, it was a fairly simple matter to climb the fence again and get to the other side and soon, the group stood by the River again, quite close to the edge of the city where the stream floated on to dissapear amongst the canopy.

"Well, here we are." Rai said, letting Tenari down on the ground again, "Are you sure you'll be fine?"

The Dratini nodded, smiling, {I will...} she replied softly, {There is no need for you to concern yourself, kind strangers, as long as there are no more of these contraptions on the way I can rest while the water carries me. Farewell!} the dragon pok?mon bowed again before jumping into the river, causing a small spalsh of water as she dissapeared underneath the water's surface, the droplets glittering beautifully in the sunlight and a few of them scattering on Rai as he stood there, watching the Dratini for as long as he could.

"Well..." he said at last, "That was a good deed done, eh Ashu?"

{And good riddance.} the Scyther added, {She was insufferably impulsive.}

Rai chuckled, sensing that his pok?mon's talk was a lot more show than substance. It was obvious that Ashura had a certain soft spot for the helpless little Dratini, but it went against her nature to ever show such 'weak' feelings.

"Ah, live and let live, Ashu." he said, stroking the Scyther's head before wiping of the droplets from his face with his sleeve, "Speaking of which, we should get to the pok?mon center. That Vulpix must be worried sick by now..." he paused, noticing something glittering on his sleeve. It was one of the water droplets left by Tenari's departure, and yet it seemed...different. It wasn't getting absorbed into the cloth like the others, but instead, remained on his arm, glittering mysteriously in the sunlight. Intrigued, Rai reached out his other hand to touch it, a peculiar sensation as he found that his hand, with a little effort, went straight through the droplet, quite a sizeable one at that, without seeming to disturb its form. The water felt pleasant against his skin but he quickly withdrew his hand before reaching for it again, this time, it felt...solid, like a peculiar crystal of some kind, and yet at the same time it was definitely wet.

{What is that object?} Ashura asked, peering at her trainer's doings.

Rai smiled in return, grabbing the water droplet and allowing it to sit in the palm of his hand, "A goodbye present." he replied.

OOC: Just to make it clear, that stuff is Mystic Water. Pwhee for that! ^-^

Maxie gave a little sigh. "C'mere, little one..." she picked him up roughly, holding him around his waist, and pulled him close. She pulled a hankerchief from her pocket and dabbed at the little pokemon's tears. "There there, it'll do no good crying about it. You're a firetype, it'll only cause you discomfort..."
She crouched down, and sat him on her knee. "Now, Kaika, I need you to be a very brave boy and tell us where Rai is. Or show us..."

She trailed off, glancing to Zachary. While she was gone anything could happen; that little punk could steal his pokemon, or they could get into a fist fight, or... Maxie blinked furiously. She needed to stop worrying about other people!
"Zack, Punk-girl, I'm worried about Rai-" she paused - there was that word again - "I-I'm gonna see where he is. You guys keep fighting, okay?"
Maxie looked to Jena, smiling lightly. "Help's appreciated, but maybe... well... I guess Kayley could stay with Zach... but you shouldn't go wandering off on our own."
Fang clicked his teeth. {Don't worry, Kaika, it'll be okay. Maxie will find Rai.}

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, in the pokemon center, the Nurse that had served Maxie was staring out of the window. She was sweating, a very uncough habit for a nurse, and her hair was falling out of its previously perfect bun. The nurse, whose name was Lara, had just had the shock of her life.
I-I just don't understand it... she thought, How could it...? When could it...?
She couldn't see the group anymore - they had disappeared off into the undergrowth - but now they were out of sight, Lara's fears were growing. Her machine couldn't have lied. There couldn't be any mistakes. She had checked it thoroughly afterwards, everything was correct! That Zubat had no heartbeat... even in her head, it sounded stupid, that zubat should be dead...!
{ooc| dun dun dun...}
Kaika snivelled for a moment more as Maxie picked him up, although the girl had undoubtedly done a good job at calming the little fire pok?mon down, because by the time that Maxie had finished her last sentence, asking about where Rai was, he managed a fairly brave nod.
{A-allright.} the little Vulpix said, gathering his courage as he jumped back down on the ground and generally feeling much better about the world than before. For all her scary manners, Maxie had turned out to be a really nice person after all.
{Followings Kaika then...} the fox pok?mon shuddered a bit at the sight of the forest which he would have to pass through again but braced himself, taking up a fairly fast pace while still doing his best so as not to leave the search party behind.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Excuse me? I'm looking for trainee Amelia?" Rai had already lost count of how many times he had used this sentence by now, but the response was once again the same; "Don't know her. Go take a bath, scruffy."
The boy sighed, casting a sideward glance at himself in a nearby mirror. He did look rather scruffy, with his clothes covered in dirt from all that crouching and sneaking about and torn at a few places because of his haste to leave the cleaning plant, not to mention the equally dirty condition his hands and face were in. His hair had been ruffled too, and there was a distinctly peculiar odor about him which, he was quite certain, hadn't been there before. Luckily, he had already shown the foresight to return Ashura to her pok?ball, the mantis pok?mon would undoubtedly have done something quite nasty in response to the people's reactions and would certainly not have improved people's opinion of him.
Rai sighed, looking rather disgusted with what he saw. No wonder everyone was being so rude to him now, he looked like some kind of raggamuffin vagrant. As urgent as finding Kaika was, he doubted that he would make much headaway on the matter as long as people looked at him like he would stab them in the back and take their money at the first chance. He needed a shower, and a change of clothes. Now...
With that in mind, the boy proceeded up the stairs of the main hall, heading towards the room he still shared with Kayley and Jena and letting himself in with his key, locking the door behind him again and casting a fresh look across the room. It was indeed a small one, although, luckily enough, there seemed to be a bathroom included, even if it was comperable to a broom cupboard in size. Still, to Rai it was one of the most welcomed sights in a long while and the youth immediately proceeded inside, carelessly snatching his backpack, which also contained what spare clothes he had, along with him, soon finding himself in the equally small and cramped shower, busily at work with scrubbing off the accumulated dirt from his body, his clothes lying in a haphazard pile on the floor.
OOC: Hehee...everyone's in an uproar about him and the dude's first priority is to take a shower. XD That's Rai's less-likable side for you. The little narcisist...
Maxie watched the little fox skip off quite happily, and allowed herself to smile. Ah, if only her wounds could be healed that easily. Maxie glanced back at everyone.
"I guess whoever wants to come can follow..." she glanced to Messy, who was still congealing on the ground in a paticularily foul way. She had a contented smile on her face, and she seemed to be eating an apple. She had also stopped stinking; when tired, or bored, or relaxed, Grimers smelt just peachy. Maybe not as nice as a Roselia, but certainly better than before. Coincidently, when grimers are happy they start to smell so bad it feels like your eyeballs are peeling, so Messy's current comtempt was definetly a good thing. "What-A-Mess, stay here. Look after... whoever doesn't follow me. Okay? If everyone follows me, you can follow them... or whatever." she shrugged, and Mess imitated her, shrugging as well.
{Sure thing. I'm okay here.}
Fang fluttered over to Maxie's shoulder and latched on tight.
{We're coming, Kaika~!} Fang called. {Hurry up Maxie, you're falling behind!} he urged her. Maxie broke into a run, dashing after Kaika until she was directly behind the fox.
"What was Rai thinking...?" she groaned. "I bet he's lying dead somewhere... serves him right."
{Maxie!} Fang hissed in reply, {you'll upset Kaika! And..me...}
{ooc| me and Rai have a lot in common, then. xD}
OOC: Gah, sorry for the delay...our family celebrating the 'Innocent Children's Day' with a huge party-thingie at our house and there are tons of my annoying little cousins all around the place, peeking over my shoulder and breaking my concentration. >.<
Bah, why must all my cousins be so short and loud? ~__~
IC:
Kaika gulped at Maxie's comment but remained quiet, concentrating on finding his way back to the place where he had last seen Rai instead. Getting out of the forest was a fairly simple process, scary though it was, but when they reached the city streets it became far more complicated, and the little fox pok?mon had to take several pauses in his dash to retrace his own scent, but at last, they had arrived by the cleaning facility again, the Vulpix stopping by the fence and peering around, still not seeing a trace of Rai.
{Um...Kaika thinkings we bes here now...} he said, turning to Maxie and Fang, {What bes we doings now then?}
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile back at the pok?mon center, Rai was starting to feel far more human again, stepping out of the shower, clean as ever, and studying his reflection in the small bathroom mirror located over the sink as he dried himself of with a towel. The boy smiled, seeing that it was his usual handsome self (OOC: Heh, he's got his vain moments too ya' know! XD) looking back at him. On the edge of the sink, he had carefully lined up his pendant and the peculiar object Tenari had given him, both objects sparkling even in the electric lighting, and rather brightly at that, almost as if they were acknowledging each other's presence. Rai shrugged the thought of as just plain ridiculous though, proceeding to search through his backpack for a change of clothes; taking something identical looking, while a logical choice for keeping his little venture a secret, didn't really appeal to him though. A plain white shirt still served well enough as a base, yes, but he decided to go for a dark blue pair of pants and a slightly old dark blue, although not quite as dark as the pants, jacket with a thin lining of silvery grey around the ends of the sleeves and collar. It wasn't exactly his outfit of choice. It was a bit too dark than what he prefered wearing and he didn't think it was quite as flattering for his figure, but these clothes weren't quite as susceptible to wear and tear as his others and the general dark colour served better for concealing dirt than his white shirt. He then cast a glance at his pendant, frowning, lovely though the accessory was it would clash terribly with his attire. And even though Rai knew that it would be kept concealed anyway, the boy still found this fact disturbing. He took a moment to ponder this dilemma before finally coming to a decision, carefully stashing the amulet away amongst his belongings before rummaging amongst them some more untill he finally came across a thin and rather worn-looking, silver chain. It had been his favourite accessory back in the old days before he had been given the pendant, and it would serve adequately now, especially with a little improvement...he cast a glance at Tenari's parting gift, a smile spreading across his face.
OOC: Yeesh, finally done. Don't blame me if his outfit sucks, I'm having major problems coming up with what would fit this guy, not just in terms of appearance mind you, but also ones that he would feel psychologically inclined to wear and which his mother would let him get (She's very picky about what he wears). Pfiffle, clothing stuffs never were my strong suit...-.-
OOC:
Meh, everybody posted pretty much after I went to bed. XDDDD
Either that or I missed something.
Kayley had spent the last few minutes staring at Raven's Absol, and sometimes her Murkrow. That's right, just standing there being unuseful while in her head she was worried about all sorts of things. First off, she was worried that something from this battle would turn out horribly wrong. She couldn't be sure why she felt this way, or what she felt would go wrong.. She just did.
She was about to ramble on in her head about a multitude of other things she was worried about, when she heard her name somewhere.. Specifically, a few ways away, coming from Maxie. She was talking to Jena, but nonetheless had recommended that Kayley stay here with Zach. Were they going somewhere?
She should zone out less often.
Fishy turned his head to watch with Kayley as a Vulpix that had been on Maxie's lap eventually dashed off into the forest, even though by his actions he seemed afraid of it. Kayley had no time to ponder this, however, as Maxie stated anyone could follow before dashing off after the Vulpix, Fang on her shoulder.
{Well I have no idea what they're talking about.. Was that Rai's Vulpix?} Fishy stated lazily from atop Kayley's head.
Daydreamer of The Day Numer Two.
"Right.. Well, Maxie said something about me staying, so I will, I guess." Shrugging, Kayley turned back towards the battlefield to gaze at the Absol once more.
{ooc| Innocent...children's day?
My family just had dinner, I think I've had a little bit too much wine... xP
Ha ha, Alter, do not worry, for I am an expert at clothing!
Silly Plushie needs to learn to function without sleep =3}
"Good job, Kaika." Maxie told the little fox, before turning her attention to the building.
Maxie and Fang exchanged glances. Maxie's brow furrowed.
"We'll look inside, of course. Though..." she clutched Fang slightly closer, "...it looks dangerous. Kaika, I need you to walk at my heel, okay? Be really carefull."
Her eyes darted from the steel fence, to the surveilence cameras, to the guards. It would be easy enough to break into, for her and Fang. He could dispatch any threats with a well-planned supersonic, but what of Kaika?
Maxie paused.
"Kaika, can you smell Rai anywhere? Which way did he go in by?" she asked, bending down so she was at the vulpix's level.
Fang twitched. {I'm... gonna scout ahead... I'll be back in five, Max..}
He beat his wings and zipped off towards the building. Maxie's stomach clenched uncomfortably.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Messy waved a hand at Kayley, splattering her shoes with stodgy grey liquid.
{Hello, ma'am!} she called, before giving up on the human and turning to Fishy.
{Kinda tell your trainer... Maxie wants someone to wait for Zack, then to come~!} The grimer stated proudly.

OOC:

Sowwy Charon, Plushie has not yet mastered the art of Insomnia. XDDD

IC:

Kayley cringed as the grey-ish Grimer liquid splattered on her shoes, instantly attempting to wipe it off using the grass. Thank God it didn't smell as much as it usually did, for some reason.. Don't get mad at her.. Don't get mad at her.. Kayley repeatedly thought to herself, resisting the urge to blow up on the Grimer near her feet.

Meanwhile, the Mudkip on her head snickered at his Trainer's predicament, his wide grin returning, even though he was fully aware that Kinaki was lurking in the bushes somewhere.

{Okay, fine with me. Kay-Kay..} Fishy said, tapping his Trainer on the head with his tail fin. {When the battle's over and done, follow after Maxie.} The Mudkip relayed, getting a sigh and a slow nod as a reply.
