OOC: Like, yay for your IC Flissie! ^0^ Hmm...it will be interesting to see what Zach decides on, actually. XD
Anyways, I think it's about good time I posted here again, myself...
IC:
Rai smiled at Maxie's remarks, both on his words and those of Jena. The girl was acting so different from before, so...well, friendly quite frankly, and more relaxed too, not at all like she had been back on the train, docile one moment and on a full rampage the next. It seemed like she had started to regard them both as people to be trusted, as friends...and briefly, Rai contemplated asking her about the last remark, the one she had made so sourly, that you couldn't change yourself but that others could, but he didn't dare to. He felt like a character under an invisibility spell he had seen in a movie once, like one wrong word, a single breath too early or too late, was enough to shatter the spell...and let all hell loose, and the boy didn't want to do such, choosing to let her move onto other subjects instead. As he listened, Rai noted that Maxie's eyes repeatedly strayed to Tenari's gift. She really did seem fascinated by it. Granted, Rai thought it a lovely object as well, beautiful and all, but having been raised in an environment where very similar things were common fare, the mystic water lacked the power to spellbind him so, fascinating though it was.
Kaika nodded, smiling at the advice both Cascade an Fang gave him, {Kaika thinkings you bes right.} he said, {Him bes askings Rai a bit later maybe, when Rai not bes so busy with other things, maybe Kaika findings a smoothie to give too.}
As Maxie brought up the subject of moving faster again, Rai's thoughts returned to the seriousness of the situation he had surpressed in his mind, then again, it was perhaps harder to think so much of a situation one hadn't witnessed for oneself, but judging by the tone of the girl's voice, it probably wasn't a friendly battle in the conventional sense of the word.
"I agree." he said, nodding and quickening his pace as well, taking a slightly firmer hold of Kaika, "We should be there for support at least, just in case things get ugly like with Valen."
As they closed in on the clearing, Maxie at the front, finally reaching the field of the battle, Rai quickly rushed over to get a better view, his expression instantly turning more serious as he noticed the technique the Absol was applying...Fury Cutter, it brought to mind that one fatefull battle when his opponent had been foolish enough to attempt stopping Ashura's Swords Dance with a Taunt. That poor pok?mon had been lucky to make it through that battle alive, and the expression on Nundu's face was all too similar to the one Ashura had worn, immediately causing the boy to fear for the worst.
Fury Cutter... he repeated in his mind, attempting to recall his lessons, A move that works by channeling the user's anger and grows in power with every strike. There is a way to stop it, I just know there is... the boy focused harder, forcing his thoughts back to the countless duels he had had to go through back in the Ice Tower, how had mother managed to stop Ashura's attack again? Besides forcing the mantis pok?mon to take a 'cooling off period' by blasting it with ice as this obviously wasn't an option here. Only one move came to mind, and it hardly helped...Lovely Kiss, yes, mother's Jynx had pulled that one just when it looked like the frail ice type would have been done for, dropping Ashura to the ground without harming her; all negative emotions cleared away and replaced with drowsiness. Rai cast a glance at Zachary's pok?mon, heavily doubting that either of them could pull such a move off, still...there had to be something else...he had heard that Sweet Scent was sometimes used to that effect, but that move was characteristic for grass pok?mon...however...
"Zachary!" the boy called suddenly, a thought striking him, "You have to calm that Absol down! Do you have any moves that promote positive emotions? Do you..." he took a pause, "Does Luka know Attract? Or Charm?" he knew it was a long shot, and that the little Zigzagoon wasn't exactly the most charming of its species, but it was all he could think off at the moment, and he knew that that Fury Cutter needed to be put down immediately if the boy was to have any chance of winning.
OOC: Well, since we're going animeish with attacks, might as well do it properly. XD And yeah, Charm is an egg move for Zigzagoon so technically Luka could know it. Although you probably had something else in mind so it's up to you, Melissa. ^-^
