OOC: Yeah... what's happened to Flissie? I don't think she's posted in this for... a looong time. Yibber at least has posted somewhat recently. ^^;; Aw well, we shall continue.

Zachary
=============

"Wah!" Zachary grunted, seeing Ashura rush in close to the Magcargo and attempt her attack. He was as clueless about the mantis' attack as everyone else was, and he could only stand there, tensed up, as the fire cleared to reveal Ashura still standing.

His totally surprised expression accurately reflected his feelings on the matter. "Wow...," he said softly, his brain not working on how it was accomplished, just stopping to awe at the pokemon's strength. Luckily for Ashura Overheat weakens in its strength.

Zachary didn't realize it fully right then, but when Railey had revealed to them all that Rai was not just some regular, slightly well-off kid, but Isabel's son, it brought about a feeling towards Rai that Zachary hadn't acknowledged before-- jealousy. It wasn't fair that Rai was so well-prepared and trained to be a pokemon trainer. Zachary barely understood type differences, and had no money or time for any formal training. He was poor, Rai was rich. Rai had both his parents, and even though Isabel sounded horrid to live with, Rai had something that Zachary had always desperately wished he had; a decent father. Rai was so good at talking to others, and always came off as such a gentleman; whereas Zachary could barely manage to describe his feelings to Amelia.... It was for these reasons that Zachary felt a twinge of jealousy as Ashura came out of the battle with Magcargo victorious.

However, there was also the other side of Zachary. The one that knew the truth and liked Rai as a good friend. Whatever circumstances surround Rai's past or his family, it was not the boy's fault. Nor did he ever flaunt his riches or his lineage in anyone's face. He was kind and supportive, not spoiled and annoying. He was certainly not the poster child for rich children. Zachary knew all of this, and so he forced himself not to feel any jealousy towards Rai. This almost worked, but instead of getting rid of these feelings, the result was to bury them to be easily forgotten.

'Stop it,' he told himself, 'I shouldn't be feeling this about my friend... he's been nothing short of supportive of me. I look up to him... I do.' One thing was for sure... he felt extremely guilty about what he was feeling.

Forcing himself to ignore the internal struggle and instead focus on the battle before him, Zachary looked back up at Rai and Railey, awaiting their next moves.

OOC: Meh... hope that made sense... -.- I'm studying for a Botany test at the same time. XD

OOc-

Yibber is here!*waves*
No needs to worry dudes! All is peace and happiness once again.XDDD

Anyways, holiday my Feebas.>_<
I got so much homework[which is yet to be all completed and whatnot] that I couldn't get on long enough to type out a decent post. Not including the fact that our NPCC squad person-leader organised a fieldtrip to a K-9 unit.
Those police dogs were so Feebas.X33
Even if they were barking at all of us and looked as if they wanted to bite our heads off. One girl actually screamed.^^;;

Plus I had to get ready for an organ test I had this morning which I'm sure I bombed since I was hyperventilating so much and couldn't play my pieces perfectly.>_>;;
Yibber- *hyperventilates*
Lady receptionist dude- Miss, are you okay?

And on Flissi, she's being lazy and claims she has a alot of homework and that she's practicing for a concert she ALMOST forced me to buy the tickets to. I'm sorry but, on a school night? No Feebas.XDD

Oh, and yey! Plushie's back!^0^

Ic-

Jena would have congradulated Kayley on her win if not for the fact that Railey started talking about Rai's mother. Isabel? Had she heard this name before? Yes, the Leader of Kingsfield City, who specialised in Ice type Pokemon, Rai was her son?

{We know the son, the young one, that who is the second in the family line of a gym leader!! WOW!}Orjen's eyes grew as wide as he could allow them to, clapping his hands in amazement. He had only met his first gym leader just recently, he wasn't exactly impressed by Railey, no. But to think about the other gym leaders who didn't have such a big ego. They must've been very strong indeed. His trainer raised an eyebrow as Ashura started charging towards Railey's Magcargo, closing her eyes for a brief moment as the Scyther took the attack.

A relieved smile spread itself across the girl's face as she found out the reason why Ashura had launched herself right at the Magcargo. The smile grew as the fire type fainted. Jena found it possible to picture Rai as the son of a gym leader, but judging by his reaction towards Railey, it didn't seem that he liked the position. She had never seen the Gym leader before, only having heard of her now and again from the young trainers in the school claiming that once they had graduated they would go through all the gym leaders of the region, including the one of Kingsfield City.
There was the question of why the boy hadn't told them about that, but soon, the Coordinator found herself sort of... relating to him...

OOC: Agh, sorry for yesterday's lack of attendace here and on the forums in general, I was just dead tired and slightly feverish and couldn't manage to get my creativity going. This has been happening to me waaaay too often lately. >.<

Anyways...yay for Yibber posting again! ^0^ Although I do wonder about Flissie...she promised to post almost a month ago. o.O Darn schoolwork and whatnot! *Shakes fist* The longer she waits the more painful it will be to catch up. >.<

IC:

"Don't worry, Ashu..." Rai replied quietly to his pokémon's request, "I wouldn't have it any other way..." he turned his attention back to Railey, noting that the boy had already retrieved another pokéball from beneath his sweater.

"Your Scyther might have suprised me, prettyboy..." he said, casting a disaproving glare at Rai, "But it won't be here to help you this time, and I refuse to loose to another bleedingheart like you! Torkoal! Go!"

With a cry that bore that was most closely resemblant of a steam train's whistle, the tortoise pokémon appeared on the battlefield, unleashing a large blast of smoke from her nostrils in a dismissive scoff as she noted the opponents in view.

{I say...what are you doing out here, flunkie?} she asked Kaika haughtily, {Does the master wish me to go through another bothersome practice match?}

{I...} Kaika replied, gathering his courage again, his eyes narrowing slightly, {This bes no practicings match! Kaika will bes beatings you this time, because now him bes havings a real trainer! Not big old meanie master!}

{A real trainer-now that's just too rich!} the Torkoal replied, letting out a terribly false-sounding cackle of laughter as she cast a glance at Rai, {That flimsy blonde couldn't train his way out of a paper bag!}

{That bes not true!} Kaika growled, his tails puffing up and his back arching in anger, {And Kaika wills not be lettings you insult Rai!}

"Kaika?" Rai asked, looking up from his thoughts about how he could possibly tell Chupon that he couldn't fullfill his promise, "You...want to fight?"

The Vulpix gave a determined nod in return, {Yes...} he replied simply, {Kaika bes wantings to help, just like you and the nice mantis-lady bes helpings him.}

"Allright then..." Rai replied, smiling at the fox pokémon even though he had no idea of what the fire type had just said, "Let's take them down."

"Hardly a likely outcome." Railey remarked, smirking from his end of the battlefield, "That used to be my pokémon...and I know all of his tricks."

"Like you knew how to 'squash' Ashura, eh?" Rai asked in return, "We'll just see about that. Kaika! Confuse Ray and Faint Attack!"

Railey merely scoffed, "You know what to do..." he said simply as the fox pokémon charged up an orb of spectral energy in front of himself before unleashing it towards the Torkoal before charging forward and vanishing in a ripple of motion, the orb of energy taking up circling around the tortoise pokémon at a dizzyingly fast rate. She maintained her focus though, bracing herself and taking on a proud swagger, confident that Kaika would notice regardless of where specifically the Vulpix was located at the moment, and she wasn't dissapointed as the fox pokémon halted in mid-attack, tripping over his own feet out of confusion and landing just in front of the Torkoal.

{Troublesome little fox...} the tortoise pokémon mumbled groggily, swaying at her spot as she tried to focus on the fox pokémon in front of her, {Schtop schwaying around scho that I can aim...}

"Stay focused, Torkoal!" Railey commanded, "Sludge Bomb!"

"Come on Kaika..." Rai said, "Snap out of it, please."

The fox pokémon nodded, a fiercely determined expression spreading across his face as he attempted to shake of the confusion while his opponent prepared to attack, the Torkoal pokémon gathering her powers for a moment before spewing out a sizeable ball of toxic goo towards one of the four fox pokémon which were currently swaying in front of her eyes, narrowly missing her intended target.

"I said focus!" Railey snapped, "Sludge Bomb again!"

While the Torkoal prepared to attack once more, Kaika had finally managed to get a grip of his senses, the rapidly revovling world around him slowly settling down and his footing steadying until he could see clearly again, immediately leaping a bit backwards from the tortoise pokémon to avoid a point blank hit.

"Now's our chance, Kaika!" Rai called, his confidence building as he noted this recent development of the situation, "Disable and Safeguard!"

The Vulpix focused, shutting his eyes as a thin nimbus of psychic energy surrounded him, starting of as faint at first but soon growing stronger, tendrils of energy quickly spreading towards the Torkoal and encasing her, the next Sludge Bomb suddenly disappearing just before it was about to be unleashed while Kaika quickly busied himself again, soon creating another barrier of energy which settled down around him, ready to intercept any further status attacks from the Torkoal's part.

"Think you're pretty clever, do you?" Railey asked, "Torkoal! Body Slam away and don't hold anything back!"

The tortoise pokémon was quick to oblige, taking a few steps backwards before lunging forward at full force, ready to pin the fox pokémon down with her hefy bulk.

"Kaika!" Rai called out, "Usher it into the corner with Faint Attack! Just keep going and watch out for those Body Slams!"

{Okays!} the Vulpix called back, quickly dissapearing in a flurry of motion once more, delivering a rapid series of jabs onto the tortoise pokémon while at the same time dodging assault after assault, the other fire type growing constantly more agitated as her target kept eluding her, even as the Confuse Ray's effect had worn out and for a good while, the strategy worked wonderfuly, the Torkoal rapidly drawing closer to the edge of the arena, even as her powerful defenses kept her in fighting condition. Just as the final blow was about to be dealt however, Rai's strategy suddenly suffered a nasty backlash in the form of the dissipating Disable technique.

"Torkoal! Sludge Bomb!" Railey called out triumphantly, noting that this was precisely the chance he needed. The wounded, and now considerably humiliated, Torkoal was quite happy to oblige, unleashing another ball of toxic goo at the approaching Vulpix with a definite sense of glee, the fox pokémon reeling back in mid-air as the attack struck, flying a good bit backward and trembling slightly as he attempted to regain his footing.

"Kaika!" Rai called out in shock, his previous sense of triumph all but gone in the face of this sudden setback. The Sludge Bomb had struck deep, that much was certain, a critical hit no less...and another blow would probably be too much for the fox pokémon to handle.

"Kaika...it's not worth it." the boy said at last, sighing, "I don't want you to get hurt. Please, retur-"

{No!}

The fox pokémon's reply was surprisingly firm, and even though Rai still couldn't make out the words, their meaning was pretty self-evident.

{The nice mantis-lady bes fightings for little Kaika.} he continued, glaring at his opponent {So now Kaika bes fightings for nice mantis-lady. Don't worries, Kaika bes knowings what him bes doings.}

"I...allright." Rai replied, nodding, "Let's go Kaika!"

"Hah, looks like I was wrong." Railey remarked, "That little runt did have some guts after all, too bad he won't have much time to enjoy them. Torkoal! Body Slam!"

The tortoise pokémon let out another cry ressemblant of a train whistle, kicking the ground a few times before charging forward at full speed, aiming to pin down her opponent properly this time.

{You bes wishings...} Kaika said quietly, his face furrowing in concentration as he called upon every last ounce of power within him, the fox pokémon's whole body trembling under the strain.

"Wha-what's happening?" Railey stammered, "Vulpix doesn't know anything like-"

He was never allowed the time to finish his sentence as Kaika finally unleashed his attack, a truly devastating blast of heat so bright that it was almost painful to watch striking the Torkoal straight in its vulnerable underbelly and slamming the fire type backwards and sending her all the way to the pile of stones surrounding the arena where she landed, lying on her back and flailing her stumpy limbs helplessly.

OOC: Whew, that was long...-.- I'll finish this off in my next post.

OOC: Yeah, that was really long. XD Though, I think you've done longer. ^-^

Aww, Kaika's so cute! *hugs Kaika* I love Vulpix!

Zachary
===============

Ron looked on to the scene before them with a frown. {Kaika... well, I say, go for it. I mean, sometimes the only reason you can possibly win a battle is with passion. Right Zack?} the little Aron said as he looked up at his trainer.

{Zack?} he said again when he got no response.

Zachary looked down at him finally, pulling away from his own thoughts. "Huh... oh, yeah, you're right Ron. We both know that!" he said with a smile. Ron looked suspicious, but didn't push it by asking what was bothering the boy. He was sure that Zachary would tell him in his own good time.

Returning to his usual self again, Zachary watched Kaika take the field. The little guy was up against a big opponent, and one that he had no doubt been beaten against or at the very least sparred with. At least that gave him a good sense of what Torkoal was capable of, however it also gave Torkoal a good sense of what Kaika was capable of. Ron was right, this battle would probably be a battle of wills and not abilities. Kaika could win if he gave it his all.

After a little while, it looked like Kaika wasn't doing so well, and Ron and Zachary cheered the little guy, and Rai, on. "You can do it Kaika!" Zachary yelled, and Ron said something as well.

However, when the little fox had decided to stay in the match even though Rai looked about ready to return it, Zachary and Ron didn't really know what to say. There was something in Kaika's eyes that reminded Ron of how determined he was at beating his first opponent. Zachary made a glare over to Railey, and then looked back at Kaika as he began to attack, using something that had obviously suprised Railey. Zachary looked over to Rai for a moment, wondering if the boy had known about this.

"What's he doing Rai?" he asked as his stare clicked back over to the attack in progress.

OOC: Yeah, I think I have at that. xD That just seemed like a suitable spot to finish the post. ^^ Incidentally...I hate coming up with titles, there is a certain thing I have been working on month after month now and I'm nearly ready to get it into concrete writing form but...bleah, I can't think of a proper title. xP *Stabs empty title space* And I can't start writing without a proper title! It's burning me up. >.<

IC:

"I...I'm not sure..." Rai began at Zachary's question, as amazed by the outcome of the battle as the others, "I-I think that was..." the realization suddenly came to him as he watched the tired and panting but proud-looking Vulpix on the battlefield, "Kaika, that was Overheat, wasn't it?" the boy asked, adressing the fox pokémon as he walked forward to pick him up.

Kaika nodded, {Yes...} he replied, smiling shyly, {Kaika...um...him bes sort of pickings it up when him was watchings the master's other pokémon...}

Rai smiled broadly, scooping up the fox pokémon in his arms as he noted that there was no way for Railey's Torkoal to continue, bruised, burned, and rolled onto its back as it was, and even the gym leader himself seemed to have come to the same conclusion.

"That...was impossible." he managed to utter at last, gathering up his fainted pokémon with his face white with fury, "Vulpix doesn't have that kind of power!"

"Oh yes he did." Rai replied, shaking his head, "You just underestimated him..." the boy took a brief pause, "Like you underestimated me." he continued, a triumphant grin appearing on his face as he reached his free hand out to the gym leader, "I do believe that you owe me a badge."

"I..." Railey replied, looking like he was about to choke on his own fury, "Fine!" he replied at last, violently procuring another badge and hurling it towards Rai in a definitely vicious manner, although the boy still managed to catch it nonetheless, "Have your little badge! But don't think that you won because of any skill of yours! Now take that mangy fox and get out!" he pointed a furiously accusing finger in the direction of the gym exit.

Rai frowned in return, carefully pocketing the badge, "Not only are you a poor trainer..." he said slowly, "But you're also a terrible loser. You could have won, you know." the boy added, "If only you had treated your pokémon better. Come on..." he added to his friends, beginning to walk towards the exit, "Let's get out of here. I for one don't want to spend any more time with him than I have to."

{ooc| My current uber story is called 'dance of the twilight man'. Because the main charcter sleepwalks. xD It's only a miner part to the whole plot, but oh well. I thought it sounded cool. Normally I nick song lyrics and twist them.
The poke fanfiction I started writing two weeks ago is called 'Nursing Spirits'. Yay.
I need to post more.
I also named my vupix on Emerald 'Kaika', but it's a girl and it's currently rotting in a PC. Mwa ha ha. I also have half a box full of feebas. With quirky natures. *dies*}

Maxie hadn't spoken a word for a while, too busy watching the battle. Fang was watching too, his ears twitching, his mouth open in admiration. As Kaika launched himself into battle, Maxie didn't dare breathe, just in case it somehow caused the fox pokemon harm. She was strangely fond of that little beast.
Then- whoosh, the fire had struck, knocking the camerupt out in one hit. Maxie gave an audiable sigh of relief. Her hands were burning up, what with her thick leather gloves. Scarlet beads of blood were forming, were she had bitten her lip from anxiety. But Kaika had done it! That was all that mattered!

Maxie clapped her hands - and flinched. They were really beginning to hurt again.
"Well done, Kaika!" she yelled hoarsely, and headed out after Rai.
"Nicely done, Rai." she added, grinning at the boy. You were amazing, she thought, with a tint of jealousy.

Fanfiction.. oh, I have plenty o' ideas in my head alright, but I don't plan on unleashing them anytime soon. 'Cause.. I said. :3

Got an idea for a title yet? =3

As the battle drew to a close--a very bright, magnificent close--Kayley grinned, almost in the same manner as Fishy, disturbingly. Railey had not lost once, but twice in a row! And after all of the things he had said, too.. this must've been one of those times in life when everything was a lot more justified than usual. She continued to grin through these thoughts, clapping as Maxie did.

{Wow! Kaika bes awesome!} Fishy kipped, making an attempt at copying Kaika's speech. {Dude, he like, burned a Torkoal. That's, like, hard.}

"Well, yeah, Kaika was.. fantastic." Kayley said, picking her Mudkip up off the floor with her free hand. "He's a lot more than he seems. Just like you!" She continued, adding the last part since she had forgotten to congratulate Fishy for his own win.

However, Fishy just huffed. {Don't ruin my modest moment, Kay-Kay!}

Kayley didn't respond to that, instead beginning to walk after the others, who seemed to be departing as soon as they could. Actually, she'd be glad to get out soon as well.. this heat was really getting to her by now. She was amazed that she hadn't sweat more than she had.

Meanwhile, a slightly dazed Kinaki stumbled after Kayley wordlessly, having failed to comment on either battles. Her maw was still drooping as it had when she had entered the building, and her arms were folded in protest of having to deal with the uncomfortable heat. God, that had been the longest wait of her life..

Jena smiled as Kaika brought Railey's Torkoal down with his newly learnt attack, joining in with the clapping. "Eh, great battles, both of you. I could never battle like that."she smiled at Kayley and Rai, slowly feeling more and more disgraceful to her family's name. Though, even while she was caught up with her thoughts, the girl hadn't fail to notice that Maxie had flinched...

{Kaika burnt a Torkoal. That's just...wow, yes?}Cascade's eyes were as wide as they could be, staring at the fire pokemon lieing on the battlefield and the angry gym leader handin-, no, flinging the badge to Rai. {Yay for Kaika!}he cheered, the little Vulpix deserved it, hurrying to catch up with the other Pokemon as they started to leave.

Tania, still on Jena's shoulder has her eyes closed, she wasn't sleeping one could tell if they looked properly. She seemed like she was in more of a meditating-like position of some sort.

"Eh, Maxie...You okay?"the Coordinator approached the girl and her Zubat as they headed for the exit, wondering if something had happened. It could have been the heat of this place, yes, she herself had yet to notice how hot she felt, wearing black did have its bad points. Glad that they were going to leave the gym, the worried expression on her face turned into a slanted smile. "Eh, if anything's wrong, you can tell us."

Maxie smiled vaguely as Kayley walked past, her thoughts still on the battle. Kayley had been amazing too... Both Rai and her... she trailed off, glancing to Fang. His was preening his wing, looking as docile and as harmless as can be. ...I'm such a terrible trainer...

Maxie looked up as Jena approached her, looking concerned. Maxie smiled at the young co-ordinator, and ran a hand through her hair. "The heat's getting to me, 'tis all..." she licked her cracked lips. "I'll be fine once we're outside."

Jena raised one eyebrow, wondering if it was best to believe Maxie and leave her alone. She had seen what she had seen, but Maxie seemed to be the type who didn't like to share her feelings, now was she?

"Eh, if you're sure, you're sure."the Coordinator tried to stop worrying. That was her problem, she could never stop worrying! Deciding to stop bothering Maxie, believing that she would open up when she felt like it, the girl turned to face the doors of the gym.

It wasn't like Jena was going to tell the group about herself anytime soon either, it was completly understandable.

OOC: Ugh... first I was too cold last night in bed, and then I put another blanket on and ended up too warm. >.< I hate that. It gives me weird dreams, and so I had this strange dream about dogs and cats and an earthquake at my Grandma's house, and for some reason Sora from Kingdom Hearts was there and various Fire Emblem characters made appearances as well. o.o Very odd.

I think the dream being at my Grandma's house was because I was thinking of my cousin Wendy's wedding we're going to in June. All of my Mom's family will be there! And there'll be cake! Wedding cake...! I'm so happy. ^_____^

Zachary
==============

"Wow Rai, you beat him with his own attack! Serves him right for what he did to Kaika!" Zachary said to Rai, "Congrats both of you."

Ron nodded approvingly, {I knew you could do it.}

Zachary raised an eyebrow, "I thought you were doubtful...?"

The little Aron laughed, {Okay so I was a little uncertain at first, but I definitely knew he could beat him once I saw Kaika decide to stay in the battle.}

Zachary was glad to get away from the gym, even though that meant crossing back over the way they came. He didn't really like the bridge crossing, but at least he knew what to expect. It was pretty warm, and he was getting pretty sweaty; something he didn't exactly like getting.

"Yeah, let's go," he agreed, "Though I think I've sweat off about five pounds."

{Really? You don't look it,} Ron said with a sneer. Zachary simply glanced sideways at him and couldn't come up with anything.

Instead, he began to wonder if Amelia had left the Pokemon Center yet. He at least wanted to say goodbye to her if he wasn't going to see her for a while.

Ehh...no, but now I have an aching head so it can't take too long anymore so thanks for that. xD Meh, it will probably come to me once I stop thinking about it, for some reason these things always seeme to do that. And those are quite good titles, Charon (Better than I usually come up with anyhow. xP), but your Vulpix...*Growls* You've just left it to rot, you meanie? Shame upon you. Feel the burning stare of Kaika and change your ways! XO Seriously though, it sucks that Vulpix and Ninetales got such a poor movepool. ~_~

Oh, and weddings are nice, yes they are. Especially the one that one of my older cousins had, mmm...both food and cake were great, and there was lots of it. Oh well, Shorties' birthday party is tommorow so I'll get some cake then, at least. It's times like these that prove that siblings are good to have after all. xD

IC:

"Thank you...everyone..." Rai managed to reply, smiling and nodding at his friends but finding himself quite overwhelmed by the barrage of compliments that he and Kaika were under, feeling too tired to phrase up longer, more complicated answers. The boy hadn't noticed it during the heat of battle, but as their little group proceeded out of the Azure Town gym and into the twilit scenery of the mountain they had climbed for their challenge, Rai found himself painfully aware of the toll that the battle had taken. He was completely drenched in sweat from that insufferable heat inside, his clothes weren't any better, and to top it all he was probably quite thoroughly covered in dirt from all those explosions and other attacks that had been flung back and forth. In all his life, Rai had never found himself longing for a shower quite as much as now, and he was painfully aware of the fact that this was the second time on the same day that he was in dire need of a change of clothes. He sighed very quietly for himself, not really knowing a specific reason why as he cast a glance at the Energy Badge, the gold coloured metal glinting slightly in what little sunlight still remained. This was it then, he had taken his first step into the real world, a world which apparently had a strong objection against his personal hygiene.

OOC:

Well that's exactly how the idea stick works, so you're on the right track. xD

But speaking of wedding cake, my Mom's boss got married yesterday. I couldn't get cake, though, 'cause I was in school being a responsible student. *cough* Oh yes, my mother has friends in high places, she does.

IC:

The obvious change in temperature once the group was outside prompted Kayley to heave a sigh of relief. She briefly wondered how Railey could stand being in such heat all day long, but decided not to dwell on that for too long since Railey wasn't exactly in good graces at the moment. However, once she did drop her thoughts, she too realized that fatigue was once again catching up to her as a result of the earlier hike up the mountain, not to mention that last battle. She soon found that the only way to make things a bit easier in this condition was to make Fishy walk on his own, and so she did, plopping the Mudkip on the ground after a few moments' notice. It was a miracle that he didn't complain about it.

"Wow, tired now.." Kayley commented, after setting Fishy down, if only to get a conversation going. "At least we have the prospect of heading downhill this time rather than uphill.."

{Prospects..?} Kinaki muttered at last, speaking for the first time in ages as she hurried to keep up with Kayley's newfound pace. {Kinaki says it's better to go to sleep and go down the hill later.} She finished, pouting.

{ooc| I love weddings~! I think I'm gonna marry loads of men and then divorce them just so can wear a pretty dress more than once. FEAR ME.
But....I've already got a firetype on my team... I don't need two... I have a Blaziken, a Delcatty, a Mightyena, a Flygon, a Gardevoir and a Milotic. I might drop my Delcatty though, she's becoming very inaccurate and more of a hindrance than a help xP
15 days 'til my holiday!}

Maxie stepped out into the sunshine, suddenly feeling almost euphoric. How good it felt, to be out of that horrid, stifling gym! Why anyone would live there by choice, Maxie had no idea. She woud rather cut off her nose than go back in there any time soon.
She ran across the bridge, Fang flapping amiably beside her.
"We're out! We're out!"
{We're free, we're free!}
The pair laughed and high-fived - at least, they did the zubat equivilent, Fang slapping his wingtip against Maxie's open palm. Maxie flinched slightly at the contact. The girl glanced over her shoulder, and seeing the others far away, she turned to Fang.
"'S getting bad again." she whispered.
{Not again... Once we're in...}
"It's not just that. I feel bad. I mean, we're lying to my friends-"
{They're not your friends, Maxie, just... people. People who we need to find Sephy. Once they find out who you are -} here even Fang lowered his voice, despite the fact no human could understand his tongue, {serial murderer, a convicted criminal, a trained assassin...}
Maxie took a step back, glancing at her little bat. He spoke the truth, of course, but it always hurt coming from her closest friend. He looked so innocent, with that confused 'o' of a mouth and big, exagerrated ears.
"Yeah...I guess..." He eyes moved back to the others. "C'mon, you lot! Get a move on! I want a shower!" she yelled, waving her hands in the air.

Somewhere in the undergrowth, the Nidoran was stirring. He could hear movements outside, not far away, and when he peered out from his whidey hole he saw.... humans. The Nidoran growled to himself. Cruel, cruel creatures! They were trainers, too, he could see a mudkip on one girl's shoulder and a Zubat with another. He growled again, and vanished from sight.

OOC: Okay, I had this dream last night that I was at a grocery store, and they had samples they were giving out of-- I kid you not-- wedding cake!! I got to eat some in my dream!! ... I have no idea why I had that part in my dream... I don't think about wedding cake that much. O_O

Me = freak.

Zachary
==========

"Come on now Rai, don't get too mushy on us. We're friends, and friends always support each other," Zachary said, nodding happily to boy. Luckily making their way down the mountain would be fairly easier than going up it had been. Ron sighed from below Zachary.

{Ahh! Since we're out of there, my metal has become quite a bit cooler. It's like a nice cool bath,} the little pokemon said, imagining a cool pool of water around him. Just because he was a type that was weak against water didn't mean he couldn't enjoy a little bit of cool water.

As Maxie expressed how much she wanted a shower, Zachary looked down at himself. "A shower? Hm... I guess I need one," he said with a shrug. The boy didn't mind getting dirty once in a while, it was kinda fun sometimes. Being perfectly clean sometimes felt so... clean!

^ I dream about Feebas now and again, but its just probably because of the obsession.
I do remember dreaming about flying mangos one time.

Cause, I'm like, freaky too.^0^

I have also been known to use hairclips as bookmarks, and eat 3 eggs a day.^^
Really, my mom asked the family doctor, and she was like, all, -Yes, she can eat alot of eggs if she wants to, even three-
So, yeah, *mom forces Yibber to eat eggs until she starts liking them*

And my class is known as the most Enthusiastic[or..noisiest which ever way you find more appealing.XD] class of the whole level.>3

AND, I finally earned my first shiney badge from NPCC! I'm getting the uniform next week and then I can order people around look Feebas.^^

[/end useless OOC]

Jena let out a small sigh as they finally exited the gym and were on their way down the mountain. On how Railey managed to stay in that sweltering place all day long, it served as a mystery to her. The girl was relieved that they had left that place, hoping that they wouldn't need to go back there anymore, any longer and she wouldn't have been able to endure the heat.

{Finally, I bet that if I'd stay in there any longer, I'd have turn into a puddle of mudfish, yes?}Cascade seemed to be one of the few who didn't mind showing just how happy they were, jumping up and down, swinging his tail from side to side. The Mudkip did a slow jog beside his trainer, not really in the mood to run around.

"Looks like all of us need a bath."Jena commented softly, the rest were all dirtied, even those who didn't participate in the gym battle. Even her.
True, she might not have been able to find as much dirt and dust on herself as the others, but she wasn't exactly 'clean'. Her skirt was covered with little soot, along with her shirt. The Coordinator guessed that her hair wasn't excluded either. She was more or less accustomed to this, but that didn't mean that she'd allow herself to walk around liek this for the rest of the day. Once they got to a decent place, she'd shower.

OOC: Ack, it's been too long since I last posted here. >.< Bleah, I hate Mondays...8 AM school followed by three hours of Kindergarten service followed by one hour of Jujitsu practice kills. ~_~ And Charon, in my opinion Ninetales > Delcatty, except that Delcatty gets Heal Bell and Attract by level. Well okay, not Delcatty (Cos' they don't learn anything at all <.<), but Skitty does. However, if you are training a Vulpix/Ninetales then I'd really suggest breeding in Faint Attack or at least Hypnosis to it (With a Stantler/Smeargle you could do both, but you can get Faint Attack from a Slakoth or even *Shudders* a Spinda), because Vulpix has a terrible movepool for damaging moves. On the plus-side, they're great with status inflicting attacks. Attract + Will-O-Wisp = Pain and frustration. >D On the flip-side, Wallace is the league champion in Emerald, so overly fire-heavy teams are kind of screwed in that regard. A solid Grass type would do wonders for your team balance by the way, because most of them are pretty low defense, which could bring you trouble later on.

Me = freak.

Don't worry, we love you all the same. ^^ And besides, even though I don't remember most of my dreams I'm pretty sure that they'd make your seem completely normal by comparison, and at any rate, you didn't have a nightmare about a huge Pikachu chasing you (Shorties did when he was little xD), or about vampires that ctravel by telephone catalogues (Yeah, I had a dream about that in which I got to wish for anything I wanted, and my wish was completely freakish. I repeated it like, three times too, cos' I had three wishes. o.O Dream Me = Idiot) and don't even get me started about the dreams that my mum has had.

And yay for your first badge, Yibber! ^0^ Speaking of uniforms, I got my call to arms a few days back, the meeting is next autumn. On the bright side; the minimum obligatory conscription is currently only 6 months, on the bad side; I'm probably too healthy to make it out that easily and don't have the excuse of glasses like my brother did. ~_~

"I concur with Jena on that." Rai remarked, increasing his pace just a little, the chance of getting a nice cold shower and then a long, warm bath was quite the incentive, even for one as tired as himself, "And...thanks for that, Zach." he added to the boy's earlier comment, smiling in a slightly embarassed way, "Old habits die hard I guess, mother..." his voice didn't sound particularly loving at the word "...would give me a harsh reprimand indeed if she ever heard me forget my manners." he gave a small, mirthless laugh, "Then again, that's nothing compared to what she'll do if she ever catches me." the boy shook his head, "I'm really sorry that I didn't tell any of you about it earlier..." he added, "It's just that...well, I'm tired of everyone immediately thinking of me as 'Rai who is the son of Isabel who is a gym leader', you-you can really never tell if anyone really likes you or if they're just trying to impress on your parents, you know? I just wanted to esacpe that..." Rai sighed a bit, "I suppose that sounds awfully spoiled of me, to run off from a life of riches for some silly fancy's sake..." he added, remembering that both Zachary and Maxie were from poor upbringing, "But that's how I feel about it."

{ooc| I just beat the elite four. Yay. Wallace was hard as only Persephone knows any super-effective moves (shock wave), but with Calm Mind and Rest it wasn't too difficult. I used up most of my ethers, though. GODDARN. My Milotic also made quick work of the others with her Toxic/Recover/Surf trio. Yay.
My dreams are crazy too. Once I had a dream that the supermarket was flooding but nothing floated! Ahhhh!
This is a pointless out of character because my Mum's gonna kick me off any minute.}

OOC: Heh, dreams can be too funny. I'm a pretty non-confrontational person (though I'm getting more assertive), and so I often have dreams where I get to yell at people I hate. ^-^ My regular dreams usually consist of being late to class/not having homework done, being caught in a tornado, or being stuck in a place (usually my family's old house from when I was little) with spiders and insects all over. Sometimes I have dreams that I'm watching something on TV that I've been looking forward to seeing. XD They all usually have "guest appearances" by characters from video games/TV, or even people that I swear my brain just makes up. I remember one dream I had like 3 years ago or so, was about the entire cast of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers playing American Football. XD *shrug* Yeah, I'm a pretty random and simple person when it comes to dreams.

My brother... he has weird dreams sometimes. Like one time he had this dream (hopefully I'm remembering it right), and it was him looking in a mirror and seeing our Dad, who then faded into this suposedly creepy evil-looking version of our Dad. Then he (the funny, evil mirror-Dad) cackled madly and my brother woke up.

Um... can't say I've ever had a dream like that that I can remember. o.o

Zachary
=============

Upon hearing Rai come clean about his feelings towards running away, Zachary felt quite guilty about his jealous feelings from before. It wasn't Rai's fault that his family was rich and he was so... well brought up. Zachary smiled back at Rai.

"Hey, I've known rich people before, and they have problems too. Rich people may seem like they would have no problems, but they do. Their problems are just different than poor people's," he said, careful not to use words like "you guys" to refer to rich people. He didn't want to make it feel as if he and Rai were on opposite sides.

Zachary tried to think of what his mother used to tell him about folks that were wealthy:

"Surrounded by people all of the time, told what to do and how to do it... it may seem like they have so much attention, but really... I bet they're all very lonely inside. How do they know that people like them for them? Most of the time all anyone is ever after is their money; not friendship."

His mother used to talk about the rich a good deal, for when Zachary was little he was always wondering what made them so special, so important, and why they were always complaining if they had so much. He wondered if Rai was lonely like his mother had guessed. Did Rai have friends back home? Real friends?

Ooh! I remember that I dreamt that Power Rangers took over the world one time!^^;;
And that I cried because of a dream I can't remember at the moment.^^

Jena froze for a moment as Rai began to explain why he hadn't told them about...him being the son of a gym leader. The way he spoke, phrased himself. The girl felt like she had been mistaken, for seeing him as the boy who knew how to battle and be polite in the first place. Rai...his reason. She would have said it in the same way, if anyone was to find out about her. The Coordinator closed her eyes for a moment, to make sure she could concentrate properly. 'Eh, no one's going to find out, ever! You won't let them!'it was firm, a demand, she couldn't let her friends know.How ever much she could relate to anyone, it meant nothing. No, nothing at all. They wouldn't want to relate to her. It was hopeless, a waste of time. Understanding was more than just knowing.

"Eh, I can sort of see what you mean, more or less. If my parents found out what I've been doing since I started this...they'd probably come after me too. Making it sound so easy to earn a name[and respect] for my family...and myself."Jena nodded after Zachary was finished talking, trying to keep in small smile she had on her face. Her deep blue eyes still had that worried look in them, or rather, possibly an uneasy look.

The girl had never really bothered to seperate different people into different classes. Like Zachary said, both sides still experianced problems.
Though... to own a school..?
