OOC: Yep, ice cream cake is good. I always get my favorite ice cream in the middle, mint chocolate chip. ^-^
And Yibber your Maxie is awesome! I agree, you're very good at drawing humans. I always have to struggle... >_> I'm more of an animal/creature person. Humans are weird looking.
Fire Emblem!!! It's so cool yet it's so horrible for taking forever to freaking complete!! T_T I am currently obsessed with it as well. Which one are you playing Alter? I only have the GBA one *is dying because she wants the other two that have come out in the US*. I think it was the first to come to the US.
Anyway... time to postie!
Zachary
============
"Stupid Ron... and Silver... what do they know about me?" Zachary mumbled to himself, still feeling upset about what they both had said. Silver obviously didn't know what a good trainer was, nor did she have any right to compare being frightened of a creepy ghost pokemon with being brave enough to train pokemon. Ron had just thought the whole thing was a big joke; as usual. Zachary did love his little Aron, but sometimes he just went too far. He knew how sensitive Zachary was about his fear of ghosts... why did he have to push it?
As he exited the Pokemon Center in a huff, Zachary suddenly realized he couldn't go any farther. What was he doing out here? Running away from a grumpy comment from Silver and a joke?
That's when he he heard a voice. A voice that sounded mechanical and jittery.
{Hello there. I am looking for something, but I do not know who,} the voice said.
Zachary jumped and whipped around to look for who had said it. At first he didn't see anyone, and then he turned his head to meet face-to-face with a shiny Magnetmite.
"AH!" Zachary jumped again, "You scared me! You shouldn't sneak up on people like that!"
Magnemite blinked his one, large eye, and then repeated what he had said before. {I apologize for my actions. Do you know what I am looking for? It is very important,} he said in his odd voice. Zachary shook his head in wonder. He could understand this pokemon. He could understand Ron because they had been together for quite a long time now, but he shouldn't have been able to understand this Magnemite any more than he could understand Zigzagoon. It was a bit unnerving.
"How can I understand you?" Zachary said quietly, "I don't know you."
Magnemite blinked serenely again. {I do not remember anything of my past. Do you not know what it is I am to find?} the metallic pokemon asked, his two magnets on the sides of his round body glowing lightly.
"Uh... no, sorry," Zachary said, frowning, "I don't even know what I'm doing out here... I shouldn't have left." A new wave of guilt swept over him as he suddenly thought of what his mother would say.
{You are sad? Why?} Magnemite said in a serious tone. He didn't really understand emotions, and this confused him. Zachary looked back up and sighed. Then he explained what had taken place in the room with the Ghastly, and Silver's comment, and then Ron's lame jokes about how he had looked. After he was finished, Magnemite blinked his large eye again.
{And you feel this emotion 'guilt' because you left these humans?} the metallic pokemon said slowly. He waited for Zachary's confirmation.
"Yeah," Zachary nodded, thinking this wasn't going to be much help considering he had already figured that out.
The pokemon floated up and down a bit, thinking, {Then perhaps you should return to them and apologize. That is what I would do. Though... I would not have gotten so angry in the first place.}
"You're right... staying away from them IS what a coward would do. I don't know what got into me, I'm usually so carefree when it comes to things like that. I just felt so agitated. And for no apparent reason really... I mean, when I think about it now, I can't even really see why I was so angry. Poor Silver and Ron; I probably made them feel terrible. Yeah... I'm going to go back into the center now, thanks a bunch Magnemite," he turned to go, but paused for a moment to say something to the Magnemite, "I hope you find what you're looking for. My name's Zachary by the way. What's your name?"
Magnemite blinked serenely. {Name? I do not have a name.}
Zachary frowned, "Well that won't do. How about... um... Electron? One of the few things I remember from science!" He grinned, remembering science to be one of the classes he got extra sleep in.
{Electron? That shall be my name. And I will find what I seek. I only wish it were sooner than later,} the little Magnemite said in its strange voice, and soon floated off towards the nearby trees. When it was out of Zachary's sight, he began to walk back into the Pokemon Center.
He soon found Maxie in the main area, sitting there with Fang. Ron and Luka had followed her out of the room, they were sitting off to the side, not really talking. Ron had noticed Zachary come in the room.
{Zack! About time you-- I mean... sorry Zack...,} he said as he raced up to his trainer. Zachary shook his head.
"Nah... don't worry about it Ron. I was acting like a jerk. I don't know why I got so angry; it was really stupid of me. Forgive the big idiot standing before you?" he said to the Aron, smiling nervously.
{No!} said Ron, turning around and folding his stubby arms while standing on his back legs. Zachary stood frozen for a moment. Then Ron turned around again and put on a smirk, {Of course I forgive you! You think I would want to go on without my best friend? My hero? That's you Zack!}
He hopped into his trainer's arms, and Luka found herself smiling. Though, she quickly remedied the problem and put on her usual scowl again. It was a cute moment, but still one with a master and his slave.

As he floated along, Electron puzzled about the boy he had just spoken with. Why had he talked to him? He had never asked any human about his mission... why had he felt so compelled to ask that one boy? Zachary had even understood him.
Was that what he had been looking for? No... not that boy. He was too kind. How could he carry out his mission on that boy? Surely he must have been mistaken. His target must have been someone else.
The metallic told himself to get as far away from the human boy Zachary as possible, yet he also found himself strangely compelled to follow the boy. This feeling was not from his mission though... but from something else. Something he couldn't remember or fully understand.
