OOC: *Always does that* Yay weirdness! ^_^ Anyways, I've already decided on my character (I'm playing a boy, mind you. XD), although y'all probably know who he is already. ^^

Anyways, nope, there's not too much spice yet, I think it's just right. Although at this rate it will take ages for them to get to the gym. XD

And yup, they were outside the pok?mon center not in it. Really Flissie, try reading through instead of skimming for a change, m'kay?

Oh, and congrats on your progress in Fire Emblem, Melissa! *Throws confetti* ^__^

Anyways, don't worry...I'll manage RPing the only male in a group of females (*Evil chuckle* >D), and it probably won't make much difference for my char, possibly he'll have a bit more spitefull and biased thoughts but meh, he's more or less equally nasty to everyone...XD

But yeah, they're totally bashing Amelia, aren't they? The meanies...xP

IC:

"Hypocrite?" Amelia echoed in confusion, "Silver, what are you talking-" Silver stormed off, "-about." the trainee concluded, sighing and feeling as nonplused as ever about this sudden and drastic chang ethat had come over the girl. Had the trainee been in possession of a short-term memory longer than a Goldeen's she might have recalled what she had accidentally overheard back in the forest clearing, but with all of the other things taking place it had completely left her head...although they same could probably not be said for Silver.

Kuro was about to retort to Yukari's and Miruka's remarks, but was cut short as Cascade jumped in between, telling all of them to stop {Fine...} the cat pok?mon muttered, casting one last reproachfull glare at the Bagon and the Swablu as he retracted his claws, walking back over to Amelia again.

"It-it's okay..." the trainee replied shakily to Zachary's apology, "It's not like it's your fault or anything...and yes, thank you Rai..."

"You're welcome..." the boy replied to the various expressions of gratitude he got, feeling a happiness quite similar to what he had felt when he had won his first pok?mon battle way back. And what was even better, this time no-one had gotten hurt, which was important and, quite frankly, more than what Rai had expected. Especially the way Maxie backed down...in all honesty the boy had expected a sharp retort from her, but instead she had even apologized, even if she did so rather gruffly.

Ashura looked up at Fang's comment, {Love, hormones...} she shrugged, {Same bloody thing...I'm the one who ends up having to clean the mess anyway...} the Scyther cast a reproachfull glance in the direction Silver had dissapeared to {Foolish little girl, rushing of like that...} she hissed in irritation, {I'll have to follow her just to make sure she doesn't get into more trouble than she's already in.}

With that, the mantis pok?mon sprang into a dash, soon reaching a speed so high that she was visible as little more than a blurr as she began tracking down the running Silver.

"I think she'll be allright." Rai replied to Maxie's comment, "Fang did deal quite a blow to that Seviper, I doubt he'll dare to use it again any time soon, and besides, it looks like Ashu went to keep watch over the girls."

Maxie cocked her head to the side at Zachary's question. He wasn't interogating her, or demanding an answer, simply asking for curiousity's sake. Still, how dare he ask such private things?
"Haven't you ever heard of curiousity killed the cat?!?" she growled, and shot a malicious glare at Kuro.
{Maxie...} Fang muttered. Maxie narrowed her eyes at him, but the little bat simply pulled his wings around him.
Maxie turned back to Zachary. "But Zack..." for a moment, Maxie was silent. She knew she owed Zachary an explanation - the poor boy was confused- but it was so...weird... Why did people always want to talk about feelings?
Coming to a decision, Maxie leant forward. She lowered her voice so no one would overhear, "she's just too perfect! It's insufferable..." she pulled away quickly, her face tinged pink.

Maxie turned away, and went back to sulking. That stupid Amelia hadn't even acknowlodged the apology! Maxie's face fell back into it's signiture frown.
Fang watched Ashura vanish. He grinned inwardly, and turned to whisper in Maxie's ear. {I'm guessing Rai's got himself into trouble in the past...I wonder what?}
Maxie broke into a fit of giggles, imagining Rai being dragged home by his collar like a rogue dog by Ashura. It didn't suit the upright, well-spoken boy she knew; he seemed like the sort of person that would repel trouble like a grimer repelled well-wishers.

Maxie was about to reply to Rai, when her cell-phone rang again. She flipped it open and answered it. On the other end, a boy's vocie jabbered away.
"Nuh-huh. Yuh. Yuh. 'Kay. Sure....yeah, that's fine. Bye..."
She snapped it shut and tucked it back in one of her many pockets.
{We've got a...?} Fang asked.
"Yeah," Maxie replied, "Kosloski's got a new girlfriend. He wanted us to know...I guess it was considorate." she told her pokemon stonily.
Fang nodded, his lips pursed. He had understood.
Maxie turned back to the others. She didn't like lying to them, not when they were so open and kind. It was just one lie, though. Just one.
 
OOC: What anime are those doggies in your sig from anyway Charon? They are so very cute. ^.^ It makes me miss my own doggie.... It was kinda sad when we were decorating for Christmas, and we pulled out Mac's stocking to hang. We hung it up anyway. Right above where his ashes sit on the mantle of our fireplace.

Oh! I just remembered, I never answered your question Charon! The one about what program I use! I always use Adobe Photoshop. I forget which version. By the way, I finished my contest picture!

"Oh, I see...," Zachary said, still a bit confused. Amelia was a bit perfect he supposed, but it wasn't as if she were showing off or something. Oh well, there was really nothing to be done about it; they felt how they felt. But still, it seemed weird for Maxie to be acting so bothered by it.

He turned to Rai, "Well now that we're all split up again, what're we going to do next? Go back to the Pokemon Center?" He smiled a bit. This whole situation was not conducive to getting things done.

Ron shook his little head in frustration, {This is what happens when too many girls are together. They all end up picking on each other.}

Luka smiled a bit, {And guys don't?}

The Aron frowned, {Not like that they don't! They just beat each other up and get it over with! At least they know what they're fighting about too.}

As he was smiling down at his pokemon's expression, Zachary heard the buzzing sound again. He turned his head around quick enough to catch a glimpse of something shiny fly by, but nothing more. 'Electron?' he thought to himself, 'Was that you?'

"Um, I know this is a little late an' all, but thank you.. Rai.. And whoever else I'm missing because it's kind of hard to think at the moment.. Without fighting around me.." Kayley wheezed. Fishy's deathgrip had now succeeded in cutting off circulation, now making the girl feel quite weak in her right arm, but no matter how hard she tried to get him off, he would not come off because the Mawile on the ground still had her attention solely on Fishy.

"Is anyone good at removing things from people's arms?" Kayley continued, attempting once again to wrench the Mudkip off of her arm with her other hand.

{TAKE THE STUPID BERRY! Do it, I say, and leave me alone!} Fishy barked, gesturing with his chin towards Amelia, who apparently was still holding out the Oran Berry for Kinaki.

{Weird little fishy wants the berry? Okay!} Kinaki shouted happily, clapping her paws together for a bit before reaching out to Amelia's hand without hesitation, a weird trait for a wild Pokemon nonetheless, and plucked the Oran Berry from her grasp. She then continued by holding up the berry to Fishy, who said nothing but only latched himself tighter onto Kayley's now slightly purple arm, not that anyone could see it under her sweater.

{You don't call Amelia flirty,its bad,no?}he tried to reason with the Bagon and Swablu,before giving the Ralts beside him a push(which was meant to be a nudge).She frowned as she straightened her white self,not even wanting to be involved in this Torchic and Tauros story.
{I'm afraid that I'd have to agree with Cassy.If you hadn't provoked Kuro,I don't think he would start insulting Silver.}the Ralts forced the words through her mouth.Tania landed beside them,the look on her face looked rather uneasy.

{You know,wee shouldn't be fightin'.Izn't zis' considered fighting az well?}she stated,before spotting a Rawst Berry on the ground and started pecking at it with her beak.
 
{ooc| I remember... the first Christmas after my other dog died... my Dad just sat for hours and stared out into the garden. Ben (our dog) really lived up to being man's best friend, and very rarely left my Dad's side. When he was a postman, my Dad even used to take Ben around with him, in a red royal mail van. xDD Anyway, when Ben died I think a bit of my Dad died too. Now we have Harvey! Ben was sollemn and loyal, whereas Harvey is bubbly and eccentric. I don't think Harvs was quite what he wanted when we got another Golden Retriever, becuase he is so upbeat and crazy, but now Dad's learnt to love him and they go everywhere together. I get quite jealous.
The dogs are from Ginga Legend Weed. Yay for anime! I've only seen one episode, annoyingly no one seems to be subtitling it. I wish I knew japanese ??;

Maxie titled her head at Zachary's question. "Weren't we heading for the gym? I mean, we've wasted nearly an entire day standing around doing... well, not much. Maybe we should hurry up and get there?" She stared after Jena. "I'm sure Ashura will bring those two back."
Maxie clutched the chain around her neck, stroking each bead nervously. While the others battled in the gym, she could sneak away and do her job. It would be easy. She could be back before they even noticed she had gone. Why do I feel so bad, then? she thought.

What-A-Mess' eyes widened at the sight of the berry, being held out to Fishy a few metres from her face. The Grimer threw herself forward and snatched it from the Mawile's grasp, with a loud "'Zoink!'", scattering little droplets of slime on the floor by Kinaki's feet.
 
OOC: Yay! My last day of school this year is hereby over! W00T! ^0^

I still have a night church thing to attend to, though. It starts at 11 PM and continues untill some time tommorow morning. Sure beats school methinks. ^-^

Anyways, on the subject of the RP; I'm going to have actual sign-ups for that one so we might get some fresh meat. *Cackles evilly* Although of course you must all realize that that means...RP samples. And as usual, I'm going to demand one from everyone and of course I always prefer fresh samples, although if you're feeling lazy, you can always just quote your own performrance in this RP, ne? XD Anyways, I'll make the thread some time after I come back from night church tommorow, although I'll probably be too tired to start the RP until the day after that. Hmm...depends on how I feel. Regardless, you hit the nail on the head concerning my character Charon. ^-^ Yes, I'll be RPing Valen, although he's maybe not a completely heartless case (He's no Slythe after all), hopefully the reasons for his...ahem, attitude problem, will become clear as well, I know I'll try. Because I'm opposed to people being evil just because they're evil. There's a reason for things I say! XO Slythe's being that he's quite a bit insane...

Moving on...Melissa, I fully agree with the others, that piccie of your is beautiful! ^0^ I love the detail you did in your shading (Even the yellowish light from the christmas tree is included. o.o I will never have the patience nor skill to do something that precise...) and the colours are well matched too. Plus, I love the motif *Huggles Vulpix* Aww...it's so cute! ^-^ Yes, methinks there isn't any justice in the world if that piccie doesn't get first prize.

Concerning nutri-grain bars...meh, never heard of them, although I don't like the sound of them. Anything with nutri in its name tends to taste like sawdust for some reason. <.<

"Oh yeah, that's right..." Rai replied at Maxie's comment, finally remembering what they had been planning to do before Valen came waltzing along. The boy cast a quick glance at a large clock located on the side of a nearby building, shielding his eyes from the sunlight with one hand so that he could make out the numbers on the clock face; quarter to four, PM. And they didn't even know where they were supposed to go...

"Amelia?" he asked, remembering that the trainee, who sweatdropped at Kinaki's reaction and the consequent seizing of the berry by What-A-Mess and was currently wondering wether she would dare to ask Kayley for another berry or not, and indeed, if it would do any good even if she did, "Do you know where the gym is?" Rai finished his question.

"Hmm?" Amelia looked up from the Mawile for a second, "Oh, the gym's over there." she pointed towards the chain of mountains rising up just by the western edge of Azure Town, a fairly wide trail snaking its way amongst the crags, "It's up in the mountains, right amongst the Azure springs. Just follow the trail and you'll be there soon enough."

"Over there?" Rai echoed, squinting towards the mountains in the distance, "Why would the gym be so inaccessible?"

"Too many challengers." the trainee replied, shrugging, "Our gym leader isn't really the most patient sort, and he doesn't want to 'waste his time' fighting rookies, so he moved the gym up into the Azure mountains so that the wild pok?mon and rough terrain would scare away the weaker competitors." she took a pause, "It's a very popular training spot too." she added, "If you're going up you'll have to be prepared to fight not only the gym leader himself but also a good deal of other trainers who have come to challenge the mountain."

"I see..." Rai said, frowning as he came to think of that this was precisely the kind of trick that his mother would like to pull, and actually did, building the gym so high and not leaving a single elevator for the challengers to use, "So in other words he's letting his challengers tire each other out and then finishes off the few who make it to the top?"

Amelia nodded in response "Exactly." she said, stroking Kuro who had now taken up glaring suspiciously at Maxie, ready to bring his claws to bear if necessary, "Are you stil sure that you want to go?"

"Well, I'm for it at least." Rai replied confidently, "I didn't come all this way just to quit. And I don't think anyone else did either." And besides... he added in his mind ...this is hardly different from the endurance drills mother put me and my pok?mon through back home.

{W-wild pok?mon?} Chupon squeaked, far less confident about this course of action than his trainer. He remembered the endurance drills well, all too well, and the thought of never having to go through something like that again had been one of the main reasons he was so happy about escaping, {R-Rai...are you sure we should..?}

"Don't worry, Chupon." the boy replied, stroking the Treecko's head encouragingly, "We can do this...I know we can. And like I said, we've come way too far just to quit."

Meanwhile, Ashura had caught up with Silver as well, maintaining a suitable distance from the girl and her pok?mon and observing as Jena grabbed Silver by the arm, telling her that she shouldn't worry others by running off like that. True.. the Scyther thought. The girl's words made sense, if only Rai would have heeded that lesson as well...the Scyther thought sighing quietly, or better yet, if only she would have heeded that lesson...yes, if only...

{Cassy..}Ryne started.

{Yup.}the Mudkip replied,still gazing up to his trainer.

{She sounded a tad like Zhena didn't she?}Ryne asked,while the Tailow beside her noticed that Ashura had followed them,but chose not to comment.

{Yup.}

"We could stay out here until you cool down and go back when you feel better."Jena suggested,letting go of Silver,realising that it was a rather impolite thing.To grab another's arm,she frowned at her pokemon for staring,it seemed that Ashura's pressence wouldn't be known unless the Scyther came up and gave the girl and tap on the shoulder herself.

As for the other RP.. I'm good to go with a char.. I've been thinking of one for the longest time, and she wants to get out of my brain. :x

"Uh, yeah.. I don't mind hiking up there.. We came to carry out our challenges, not back down because of something like that. Yeah, I don't think Fishy and Razz would want to waste their training, and Hazy seems energetic enough.." Kayley paused there, again attempting to pull Fishy off of her arm.

She didn't have to.

As soon as Messa had leaped forward to pounce on the Oran Berry, Fishy instantly took the oppurtunity to make his way up the rest of Kayley's arm, onto her shoulder, and then onto her head so that he could be the farthest away from Kinaki as possible. Apparently he really didn't like getting tastes of his own medicine.

Kinaki, however, seemed to be on the verge of tears. {Purple dude stole the berry! Why did you do that!?} She asked, now shaking as if she were about to break down because the world was falling apart.

"Whoa whoa whoa, take it easy! You can have another berry!" Kayley said, quickly bending down so that she was more level with the Mawile, much to the horror of the Mudkip on her head. Now that she had already retrieved a berry from the pocket in her bag, it was much easier to locate her query, and the Oran Berry was revealed a lot faster than the first time.

Kayley held it out to Kinaki, who chose to tilt her head up at Kayley for a bit before taking the Oran Berry, her huge maw snapping a bit absent-mindedly. She clapped her hands together a bit but didn't say anything, instead choosing to walk a bit away from Messa to protect the berry.

"So.. Anyways.." Kayley said to the others, sweat-dropping. "We're going to go for it, right?"
 
OOC: Aw... that story about your Dad Charon... that was so sad and cute! Ugh... everything seems to want to remind me of Mac lately. I went to see the film King Kong yesterday (the new remake of course XD), and I didn't really like it that much. It was waaaaay too long and majorly dragged in parts. I swear they could have easily condensed it into an hour and a half movie. -_- I'm the kind of person that doesn't mind a few slow and calm parts, but that's not how this movie dragged on-- it seemed to have so many chase scenes that were exactly the same, and I just wanted them to get to the girl and move the story along a bit! X_X Three hours I sat there in the theater! Gah!

Not to mention there were these worm-like Lamprey things in this water and they were really gross and one of them latched their mouthparts onto this guy's head and started sucking him up or eating him or whatever. I swear my stomach churned at that part. XD Also, I just didn't find the behavior of the dinosaurs that believeable. There were these Tyrannosaur things, and one of them had just killed this huge dinosaur to eat it, and was carrying the body in its mouth. Then it sees the main girl who's been hiding from it and it starts chasing after her. What the?! Why would a dinosaur, or any animal for that matter, go chasing after a puny, virtually meatless, human girl when it has just killed a major meal? I simply thought it would have made more sense to let her run. It ended up dropping part of the kill it had made earlier while chasing her too. Stupid.

*shrug* I guess they were playing on the fact that dinosaurs are dumb and have small brains? However, if a Tyrannosaur had chased after anything that moved willy-nilly, they would have died out a LOT sooner. >_>

Anyway... enough of my rambling... ^-^;;


Zachary

"Wow... I wonder how many challenges they get at the gym with that system in place," Zachary said as he stared at the direction they needed to head in. He hadn't really wanted to challenge the first gym, considering he hadn't gotten much training in. He wasn't even sure of how strong Ron was up against other trainer's pokemon. He had only ever battled wild ones.

{I say we train Zack! If we're not going to the gym, we should at least train for the next! We'll get to test our abilities still,} the little Aron suggested, giving a determined look. He was eager to prove himself a good partner.

Luka rolled her eyes, {Why should I want to battle for that lame excuse for a human? I don't want any part in this....}

Ron frowned, {You have to. And it's fun to battle... just give it a try, will ya'? Zachary won't let anything bad happen to you. Or are you afraid to battle? Not strong enough?}

The fluffy Zigzagoon remained silent. She was unsure of herself all of a sudden because she wanted to answer with a resounding "NO!" to the little pesky Aron, but she knew that was all part of his plan. She figured saying nothing was the best she could do.

Zachary nodded to Ron after Luka's silence, "Yep, we should definitely train then. So," he turned to the others, "Ron, Luka, and I will come along to get some training in. We won't be challenging the gym though. Not this time."

EDIT: Oh yes, and thanks for the nice comments on my contest entry! There are lots of entries this month though, so the competition's gonna be tough! Also, thanks Charon for the name of the anime. Those doggies were too cute so I had to ask. ^-^

Erm.. I'm just saying this so that y'all know you won't be seeing much action from me today.

Apparently my Dad doesn't want to stay home on his vacation, and wants to drag me along everywhere he goes.. And that means hours on end away from home, and the computer.

I'd post an IC, but my Dad is nagging at me to put the comp away. XD

Oh, and Melissa, on that movie...that's precisely the reason why I never watch those old movies, or remakes thereof; the majority of American scriptwriters seems to have such an utterly twisted view of animals, be they dinosaurs or even snakes. Sheez, I remember this one stupid movie about a snake terrorizing a whole village and attempting to systhematically kill everyone. I mean come on...why would a snake try to kill so many when there's no way it would ever need to eat that much? And why would a single snake randomly decide that all humans must die? *Rolls eyes* Idiots...it loks like they did exactly the same thing with King Kong. That dinosaur-thing was...well, just plain ridiculous. <.< *Sigh* Sorry to hear that their muddle-brainedness wasted three hours of your life, Melissa.

Anyways,

"Pretty many, actually." Amelia replied to Zachary's comment on the system, "You see, we get lots of hikers and the like around these parts, and to them, climbing the mountain is just a fun passtime. But if you want to know how many people actually succeed in their challenges..." she grimaced, "Not very many, that much is sure. I can barely count the burn wounds I've had to treat from the pok?mon he faced."

"Burn wounds?" Rai interjected, a horrible realization suddenly striking him, "Amelia...what is the gym's type?"

The trainee blinked at the question, "Fire." she replied, apparently surprised that the boy didn't know this, "I know it doesn't really sound like it suits the town's name, but it's all because of the Azure Springs, they're hot springs you know. Apparently there used to be a volcano around these parts long ago, although there's no sign of it here anymore, but the springs remain, and they're also where the river originates from." she gestured towards the Azure River snaking its way across the time, even now glittering in the bright sunlight and giving of the usual smell...a smell which Rai suddenly managed to place, sulfur! The river was volcanic in origin!

Rai took a pause, pondering this new change. It definitely didn't bode well for him, because this would mean that his whole team was at a type disadvantage, as if the tiring wasn't bad enough.

He didn't want to give up though, he wouldn't give up. A determined look spread across Rai's face as he answered Kayley's question.

"Yes we are." he replied, "Ashura has trained against type disadvantages before, she'll handle it, I'm sure."

{B-but...} Chupon interjected, now more scared than ever.

"It's allright." Rai repeated soothingly, stroking the little gecko's head, "I won't put you up against the gym leader, you can take the hikers along the way instead. They shouldn't be a problem."

The grass type nodded, beginning to feel a bit safer again, although he still didn't like the whole scenario one bit.
 
{ooc| Gah, I've just discovered I'm gonna be out almost all day...You'll probably have to start the roleplay without me.}

Maxie pulled a face. "Hikers have ground types, right? We're weak against them..." she looked to Messy and Fang. Both of them had been quiet since the clash with Valen, especially Fang. He couldn't cope without Maxie; the fear of being seperated from her had chilled him to the bone.

She smiled, as Chupon spoke up. She was beginning to catch on to what he was saying; soon, she wouldn't need Fang whispering translations in her ear.

Total correction.Today wasn't the Orientation at school.Which looks oddly like a hotel.I tellz you,like,the older dudes,they wore red jackets over the white uniform(Which I hope'll last a week before I dirty it in some way or another.>_>;; ).They really looked like hotel staff.XP
The school's real traditional,the grand Audotorium looks like one of them Thai palaces.^^;;
And,there's even a huge lake in the middle of the whole school.

Kinaki instantly snapped her maw, looking up at Fishy with determination. {Kinaki will not give up! She wants you to be her friend!} She exclaimed, nodding firmly.

And yes Alter, American screenwriters do not seem to have a good grasp on the concept of animal behavior. I mean... ugh. That snake movie sounds really lame too. >_> Oh well; once in a while they have some decent ones. Can't think of any right now, but I know they're out there... I think. XD

On a random sidenote, snakes are really cute! ^0^ I've always loved those beady little eyes. Perhaps when I get out on my own I shall buy a little snake to have a pet. They're just so very cute. I've always wanted one.

"Wow... fire eh?" Zachary said in response to Amelia's comment, "Well then I'd better sit out of that gym for sure. With Ron as my best pokemon, no offense Ron, it wouldn't look good." He smiled at Ron.

{Oh, well because you said 'no offense', I guess I'll have to not get offended,} Ron said to him sarcastically. It was obvious the little Aron was only joking though, and was grateful that Zachary didn't push him to outperform some tough fire pokemon that left burns on their opponents.

Luka thought that this was a bit nice of the boy, but also though that he should have more faith in her. After all, if it weren't for that dirt near her, Ron might not have beaten her.

"I'd love to challenge some Hikers though. Also other trainers would be good too. I'm defnitely looking forward to that!" Zachary proclaimed, looking out to the horizon.

{Um...,} Ron said with a bored look, {I think she said that the gym was in that direction Zack.} He pointed with his tiny paw in the opposite direction that the boy had been looking in.

"Oh. Um, well, I was just looking for... you see I thought that maybe... uh... oh nevermind," Zachary gave in, looking a bit sheepish, but also smiling at himself.

She sniffled and turned her head to face Jena.. "I bet you still have your parents around right? And you never had anything that happened to you that made you be so freaky that you became the girl that everyone avoided.. And your Pokemon don't always disobey your orders.. And the guy you like most probably gives you his full attention.." She paused for a while before asking.. "Tell me truthfully.. am I unbearable, annoying, sickening and unreasonable??"

Jena immediately backed down at Silver's outburst.Her pokemon doing exactly the same thing,jumping behind her legs for extra security.She frowned,waiting for the girl to finish her rambling and complaining before slowly walking up to her.The girl wiped away the tears from Silver's eyes,smiling ever so slightly.Trying to process the fact that the girl standing infront of her didn't have any parents.Being killed by,what?The Neon Knights of some sort.

"Firstly,you may be a buit unreasonable at times.But everyone has their own flaws.Eh,its not against the law to have a flaw,right?"she said softly,placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Though,you might be a little unbearable when I first met you,I guess I've gotten used to it!"Jena couldn't bring herself to lie to the girl anymore,deciding to tell her what she really felt.

"I'm really sorry that,you know.About your parents."she lowered her head in shame.

As for snakes...well yeah, they're pretty cute, especially small ones. ^^ Although white Tigers (Whatever the real species name is) are even cuter with those big, furry paws of theirs. I saw a real great one at a zoo once, although I swear, several people looked at me funny when I went 'Aww...cute!' XD

And yes, sulfur does smell pretty nasty, yes it does.

At Maxie's and Fang's discussion Amelia looked up. "Oh, your Zubat needs healing, right?" she asked, even though it was fairly obvious that that was the case, "I can take care of that, no problem." she smiled nervously, hoping that the older girl wouldn't lash out at her again. The offer of healing was a bit like the offering of another chance, an attempt at rebuilding bridges as her grandfather would say, and the trainee really hoped that Maxie would accept. There was something definitely scary about the girl, and Amelia really didn't want to be on her bad side if she could help it.

"Well, it looks like we've got the battles on the way split up quite nicely between us, then." Rai commented, smiling at the various agreements on fighting, "I'll bet that gym leader hasn't considered the possibility that trainers would actually work together to make it to the top. Yeah, it looks like we're going..." he said at Kayley's comment, surpressing a grin as he noticed Zachary looking in the wrong direction, "Although we'll have to wait for Fang to get healed first." he added, "Our pok?mon are still going to need all the energy they can get to pull this off, there's no point in going there with wounded pok?mon on the team, especially when it's so easy to get healing. And...well, we should wait for Jena too..." he added, casting a glance in the direction where the girls had dissapeared to, "Jena and Silver, that is." he added hastily, realizing that he hadn't mentioned the name of the first girl who had run off and wondering about this strange slip-up as he was usually very carefull about acknowledging everyone, he coughed a bit to clear his throat, attempting to dispel any curiosity awoken by his previous statement as he continued, "It simply wouldn't do to leave them behind." Rai concluded, taking a step back and stroking Chupon's head "We're a team."

As the conversation between Silver and Jena escalated, Ashura perked up her hearing. So everyone but poor little Silver had a perfect life, eh? The Scyther scoffed at the girl's martyr attitude. What made her think that she was so special? Everyone suffered in this world, she wasn't the only one who had lost family, not the only one who had problems with people...but she was, however, the only one who continuously moaned and whined about it rather than trying to put her life into order. Apparently Jena was experiencing some difficulties with family too, the mantis pok?mon noted at the girl's outburst, and much similar to Rai's, even though she concealed it just like the boy did...interesting...she would have to make a mental note of this. The Scyther corrected her concealment a bit more, waiting patiently for any further details to be revealed concerning these two females.
