Showgan -- Standing On Edge (Invitational)

Status
Not open for further replies.
{ooc| It's freezing here, too.... but not quite that cold. Yesterday it was even warm enough for me to wear my skirt, though I still had to wear thick black tights and nearly knee-high boots. It's about -2 degrees here today... this has been quite a mild winter, no snow or floodings.}

Maxie coughed loudly. "Amelia..." she stood up, strangely aware of how... together... Zachary and Amelia had been before she butted in. "I think you should apologise to Gwendolynn - not that she deserves it - and get your job back. I mean..." she lowered her eyes. "Nursing... and caring for pokemon... and being kind.... you're good at it. You gotta finish your training and become a proper Nurse, don't throw it all... away..."
Maxie stepped back, a shy half-smile on her face. "You're lucky. You have the chance to do something with your life. Don't throw it away."

She began to wander back to the pokemon center, Fang hovering beside her. For some reason, Maxie felt really, really bad; not the envious, wrath-filled, malicious bad she normally felt - it was more like self-pity.
"We'll be doing our job 'til the day we die, matey." she told her Zubat lowly. He screeched, and curled his tails around her gloved hands.
{No worries. It's always better when we're together.} he replied.
Maxie paused, and glanced back at Zachary and Amelia, hoping they would follow.

OOC: It was actually quite warm here yesterday, like about 60 here. Before it had been like 30-40. I think someone stuck a hotplate under us. o.o

Zachary
============

Despite Amelia's attitude being quite different from her usual, timid demeanor, Zachary liked seeing her so determined. He smiled, "Eh, it's up to you what you do with Gwendolyn, Amelia." He then noticed Maxie's concerns with Amelia's choices in her job. Zachary couldn't help but agree somewhat with what the girl was saying, and he glanced at her as she walked away for a moment before catching up to her and addressing it.

"You have a good point Maxie, but it's not like Amelia couldn't find another Pokemon Center to work under. They're all over the place, and I'm sure that any of them have nicer nurses than Gwendolyn. Besides, I think Amelia's made up her mind," he said, waiting for Amelia to catch up.

He was wondering about Ron, and also about Kuro. The poor Meowth, what could possibly be wrong with the little guy?

OOC:

Lol, if it ever gets to 60 degrees around here, everyone practically dies. XDDDD

I guess we're more used to withstanding warmth rather than cold. Right now just nighttime and early morning are cold, and then it gets real warm in the afternoon.

IC:

"Oh." Kayley stated simply, the single word being directed at both the explanation from Jena and the response from Rai. She seemed to flood with embarassment, though, when she realized that she must've seemed very absent-minded indeed, back there..

"Yeah, I was thinking." Kayley continued, lowering her gaze slightly as her mind settled onto her father once more. "I was thinking about my dad. He's never home, you know. I was remembering how happy I would be whenever he did come home.. I guess the conversation from earlier triggered it." She concluded, tracing circles on the ground with her foot.

{Hmph, Fishy won't wake up.} Kinaki stated, giving up on her attempts to awaken Fishy. Her huge maw lowered towards the ground a bit, as if to show everyone else that she was sulking over that fact. {He's being boring..!}

OOC: Erm...60 degrees? *Blinks* 60 degrees what? If it's celsius I'd friggen' die in such heat. Heh, us finnish people tend to be better at resisting cold, well, with the exception of the sauna, though. (Anything below 90 degrees celsius is considered wimpy in those cases) Meh, maybe it's just that I'm susceptible to sunlight. Must be my naturally deadman pale complexion (No kidding, a whole week in the UV-center that is Sydney, Australia, and all it did was create a lil' sunburn on my forehead. I've yet to meet someone as pale as me (Arsenik-users/powdered people excluded, not that I've met any arsenik users mind you.) @.@). <.<

IC:

Amelia nodded in agreement with Zachary's statement, proceeding to walk in pace with the group, "Yes I have." she replied, turning her eyes away from the road a bit to get better contact with Maxie and giving the girl a small smile, "Don't worry though, like Zachary said, it's not like I'm going to give up my career altogether..." she took a small pause, adjusting her grip of Kuro a bit, "I just need some distance from Gwendolyn, that's all, maybe get out to see the world a bit too while I'm at it. I've heard that there's been a bit of a shortage of nurses in Koverike City, further up in the mountains, you know." she nodded towards the towering chain of mountain peaks in the distance, "It's a bit hard to reach but I shouldn't have much trouble once I get there." she fell silent for a moment again, "Honestly, though..." she added, "I have to admit that I'd still rather be a trainer. But I suppose I couldn't really stand my pok?mon getting hurt..." she added as an afterthought, "Maybe I could try co-ordinating some day. But I'm still a nurse born and bred..." she smiled a bit at her feet, "My grandpa always used to say that." the trainee elaborated, "That's why he didn't try to make me his successor..."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Oh, I see." Rai replied, closing his eyes and nodding in understanding, "I...think I know the feeling..." he continued, "Father always seems to have some duty or the oher to call him, despite his best efforts to make time." the boy sighed, opening his eyes again, "I suppose being rich comes with its own responsibilities..." he concluded.

OOC: XD Whoops... I meant to add "F" after the 60. I would die too if it were 60 C over here. That'd be like... lemme see... room temps like 21 or 22 C... so... yeah, that'd be WAY too hot. People would be strapping ice blocks to their heads. ^-^ Is America the only place that uses the Farienheit scale? I swear... we're so weird. -_- I hate measuring in inches and feet too. Give me centimeters! *nods*

Zachary
============

"Really?" Zachary replied to Amelia's comments, blinking, "A trainer huh? You know... sometimes the best trainers are the compassionate ones. You should try it someday to see how you really do feel about it. After all, you might surprise yourself." He shrugged, figuring that grandparents weren't always right all of the time, and that you never really knew how you'd feel about something until you tried it out. He was certainly 'born and bred' to be poor, but he was determined to break out of that situation.

This was the first time that Amelia had really ever mentioned family that Zachary had noticed, and so he pondered a good question for a moment. "What was your grandpa? A famous trainer or something?" he asked, curious to find out more about the girl beside him. Hopefully he wasn't prying to much, but he figured it was a normal question that anyone would ask.

Kuro didn't seem to be wailing as much anymore, so Zachary hoped that the little guy was feeling better now, and maybe there wouldn't be anything too serious wrong with him. Suddenly Zachary found himself wondering if there was a gym up in that city that Amelia had spoken of. Perhaps the group could go there next? He didn't really like the idea of Amelia going up those mountains all alone... or having to say good-bye to her just yet.

{ooc| We use...er... dunno. xD I think celsius... Don't quote me on it though. Here it can get pretty hot, but not hot enough for me. I love the sun, and heat and stuff. I went to Italy with my school last summer, it was so hot - hotter than usual, it was something like the 17th hottest week on record. xP We went to the vatican city and we all had to wear jeans and long-sleeved t-sirts due to religious rules... I nearly died. Everyone practically ran outside once the tour was over and poured water over themselves, while all the italians stared and muttered things about dispicable evil english children.
I'm going to the caribbean soon, yay! In...April.
Why is Rai acting like spiderman?}

Maxie squinted; she couldn't really see Amelia as a trainer, inflicting harm on other's pokemon, but she smiled and nodded anyway.
She sighed, and stared back in the direction of the others. She didn't have a problem with Amelia, but Maxie couldn't help hoping she would stay behind... Maxie was just getting used to her current friends, and the idea of someone else joining her little clique... Maxie wasn't too fond of it.

OOC: Why is Rai acting like-? OMGWTFBBQ! Ish he acting like spiderman? o.O I wouldn't know because I always thought spiderman was very boring and have never seen any of that stuff for more than about five minutes (The time it takes to loose my attention span). -___- If Rai is acting like him then it's not a good thing at all, no it's not. Must drive him further from spidermanhood when I get the chance. In fact, maybe I ought to edit his last lines a bit, they aren't really some of my best work.

Anyways, yeah, America is the only place I know of where people use fahrenheit, and the feet and whatnot system I've never understood...meh, I think some people are trying to look posher than they are by taking strange systems into use. <.<

Oh, and yay for Charon's trip! ^0^

IC:

Amelia's expression brightened up a bit at Zachary's comment, "Really?" she asked, "You really think I should try? Well, I suppose it can't hurt..." the trainee continued, "Not permanently, anyway. But maybe you're right, it would be a bit cowardly of me to just give up without trying." she took a brief pause as the boy began inquiring about her grandfather, not really too surprised about the question.

"Yeah, I suppose you could say that." Amelia replied, "He's a gym leader. Or at least...he was, he retired a few months ago so that he could tend to plants full time." the girl chuckled a bit, "It's a bit funny, really." she continued, "I mean, grandpa's big passions in life have always been gardening and pok?mon training, so you'd think that he'd train grass pok?mon, wouldn't you? Well, he doesn't, though...he trains ghosts. And that's what he taught Sanada to do as well..." she smiled a bit at the memory of the boy, "I don't mind, though." the girl added just to make sure that her words weren't misinterpreted, "I've always found ghost pok?mon a bit too creepy. Sanada on the other hand...now he was completely into it right from day one..." she fell silent again, not really knowing what to say.

{ooc| With great riches comes great responsibility... Spiderma said the same, except with 'power' instead of- ooooo, new e-mail from Jack Scanlan!
I love MSN, it always pops up and says 'you have new mail'. Yey.}

Maxie cocked her head to one side. "Is Sanada your brother?" she asked. People with siblings always intrigued her - after all, he had none of her own. Maxie assumed they would have the same sort of relationship she and Fang had - bickering one moment, working together the next.
Fang shook his head. Maxie, as usual, didn't mind about appearing nosy.

she paused. "So....is there still a ghost type gym in this region?"
Maxie pulled a face. Zachary really wouldn't be happy.

{ooc| I'm boooored *whines* You will ahve to suffer my pointless posting, and- can we hurry up and get back to the others yet?}

Yes. Yes we are. XD Honestly, since when does America not want to look like the superior country? That's one thing I'm definitely not proud of my country about. But... uh, I could ramble on about that all day so I'm just gonna stop right there.

BTW, I'd pour water all over myself too after that Charon. ^-^

Ooh... I'm reading this book called "When Elephants Weep". It's about animal emotions and stuff and it's so awesome! It has some really horrible sotries in there of experiments on animals though. One story of an experiment involving dogs and electric shocks made me cry. ;_; Humans can be so horribly cruel in the name of science. Thus why I could never be a scientist that deals with animal testing. I'd want to save them all. Run free mice!!! XD

Anyway...

Zachary
=============

"G-ghosts...?" Zachary gulped, feeling his heart rate rise a bit. Of all the pokemon kinds in the world Amelia's grandfather had to train... ghosts? He smiled nervously, "Uh... yeah I've never been a big fan of ghost pokemon either. That's cool that your grandpa was a gym leader though, you must have gotten to see some intense battles when you were little." Perhaps if he downplayed his fear of ghosts, and acted as if it were not there, it would eventually go away. As long as Maxie didn't spill the beans on his overreaction to Kayley's Ghastly, he would be okay for now.

Something else clicked in Zachary's mind though. Sanada? Who was that? He told himself to slow down though, perhaps he was just her brother or something.... Trying to forget about the momentary ghost fear, he looked thoughtfully at Amelia.

Maxie commented on who the boy Amelia had mentioned was. "Yeah, who's Sanada?" he asked as well, hoping that this question wouldn't lead to more names he wasn't familiar with. Unless they were girls. For some reason that thought didn't bother him nearly as much as the other way around did.

OOC: Oh! Didn't comment on Charon's trip!! Yay! I wish I could go on a vacation... -_- It's been forever since I have. However, this summer I'm going to a wedding down in southern California, so that'll sorta be a vacation. My cousin Wendy's getting married. ^^ My Mom and I have to go dress shopping soon. *girly squeal*

Alas, positions getting into people's heads is an all too common occurence in human societies. *CoughMrsHalonenWhoDidn'tReallyWantAnElectionAtAll*Cough* Seriously, some buttkissers suggested that we'd skipp this year's presidential elections alltogether and just declare Tarja Halonen the winner straight off. ~_~ I do believe that winning by only a mere 52% of the votes was a very sobering experience for both her and her supporters. Tsk, there's nothing quite as annoying as presidents who think they're gods. <.<

But yes, the treatment of animals is simply shamefull. ;_; Not a surprise though, considering what people are willing to do to other people. <.<

And Charon, if you wanted to get back to the others already then why didn't you just say/post so? ^-^

IC:

"Well, intense, yes..." Amelia replied, "Well, just 'tense' is more like it. If grandpa's pok?mon didn't knock their opponents out of the ring straight off then it was practically always a very complicated number of moves and counter-moves and nothing seemed to get anywhere until one pok?mon simply lost its focus and lost." the trainee shuddered ever so slightly, "I...might be sounding a bit silly. But I find battles like that rather eerie..."

The girl took a pause as both Maxie and Zachary chose to ask her about Sanada. The girl inwardly scolded herself for letting names fly back and forth like that, what if Zachary would get the wrong idea?

"He's...not my brother." the trainee replied to Maxie's question, shaking her head, "Although really, he could very well have been." she added with a slight smile, "Sanada is...well, a bit of an odd kid, really. He just arrived at our home, I live with grandpa you see, and had a note from one of his old friends which was basically asking grandpa to take care of him. And, well...he accepted." he girl shrugged, "We more or less grew up together." she concluded, waiting for the others' reaction.

Just then, Kuro decided that he hadn't been doing enough complaining and put on another show of squirming and moaning which Amelia had to quiet down, the trainee so preoccupied that she didn't notice the red roof of the pok?mon center growing ever closer.

OOC: Goodness really? I'd hate to see my parents' reactions if anyone over here had suggested that about the last election we had. They'd probably have combusted. XD I might have too, but, maybe just a little combust. I just wish the party I support would get it together already. -_- If I have to go through another 4 years of the same old rhetoric, I just may do a big combust.

Zachary
===========

"Ah," Zachary replied, dismissing his feelings on the subject of Sanada until further notice. He would have to wait to meet the boy sometime before making a final decision on the subject. If he thought of Amelia as a sister though, then there was nothing to worry about.

"Some battles seem worse than others," the boy said thoughtfully, his mind going back to his battle with Raven, "And anything with ghosts in it seems eerie to me! Er... um, yeah." Zachary found himself shuddering, but only because an image of the ghost he used to see in his house flashed before his mind's eye. As they neared the Pokemon Center, Ron saw them coming and raced toward Zachary.

The boy could see the little Aron's armor flashing in the light, along with the bright red of his focus band, and figured it was his friend. Ron stopped about a meter away and then slowly approached Zachary, looking from Amelia, to Kuro, to Maxie, and then to him.

{What'd you do to Kuro, Zack?} he said half-jokingly.

"Hm? Oh, I don't know what's wrong with Kuro, he just started wailing in pain a little while back when Amelia and I were... uh, talking,} Zachary replied, blushing a little as he got toward the end of his sentence.

{Really? Hmm... that's strange. Maybe he ate something bad?} the Aron pointed out, which seemed plausible. Zachary shrugged.

Amen to that, Melissa.

America always has to lend the helping hand because all the other countries are too uneducated to help themselves. >.> [/sarcasm]

Will post an actual IC later.

{ooc| ^^; Sorry. I did hint about... ten posts ago...
One way to help animals is not to buy Iams pet food. Do a google search on Iams Cruelty, it's...really quite horrible, what they do to animals for the sake of our pets.
*shudders* have you guys been hearing about the woman with a face transplant? She's on the news currently, it's... scary...}

As Kuro began to groan, Fang's mouth twitched into a smile. Ah, you're going about this all the wrong way... the bat thought to himself. After all, if you want to regain your trainer's whole affection, sympathy isn't the way to go about it; you've gotta make that other party look terrible! Frame them! Make out they're doing wrong! The bat clicked his teeth, and fidgeted on Maxie's shoulder. He was relatively lucky, in the sense that Maxie had very little love for her species. After all, she had suffered a lot at their hands... in the past...

"Like... an adopted brother, then?"
Maxie caught sight of the others up ahead - she could see Rai and Jena, who... were also looking strangely...together... and Silver and Kayley, who both didn't seem to be doing very much. Maxie gave everyone a sweeping wave.
"We've returned!"

One thing that really gets me about America is how most people I meet seem to think they know best....but they still think Great Britain is the capital of Europe... xP We have an American Exchange program at my school (I never took part, though) and the people that go on it.... just wind me up.
However, Melissa is an incredibly intelligent and lovely human being.

I guess I'm being predjudiced now? xDDD *shot*}

OOC: Heh, I don't deny that many Americans fit the stereotype of being selfish, overbearing, posh, loud-mouthed, ignorant, and whatever else comes to your mind. I know quite a few of them that fit that bill as well. Some of them friends of mine. >.>

It really all depends on whether you're open-minded or not. Education is also another factor. One of my friends is super sweet, but she simply doesn't know anything. She thinks that every British person fits the stereotype, that every third-world country has savages in it that need to be civilized. She just hasn't been educated by anyone other than her parents that think the same thing. She's slowly changing though considering she's out in the 'real world' now.

I have a question. Over here in America, we call people of different races "____-American". ie. African-American, Asian-American. What do other countries call different races? It may seem like a silly question, but I just realized that I have no idea. o.o *feels like her ignorant friend*

And... as for an IC... I'll wait for someone else to post again. Because Americans are lazy too. ^^;;

{ooc| I just realised, that was a pretty rude thing of me to say. I didn't mean all Americans are stupid and things... that would make be into a british stereotype. xD I do think that quite a few people my age in America have bigoted views, though....more so than in England. I've only really met Americans from Philedelphia (see, I'm showing my own sillyness here by spelling it incorrectly xD) and they were really, really...not pleasant. xP It was probably just them, but they were very rude about everything and picked apart everything about our school - from our uniforms to our canteen food. ??; I guess that's left me pretty bitter (after all, I was on the student council last year and I helped organise some of the meals) about....Americans. Ahh... I feel mean now, with my nasty views. I hope I haven't offended.

Uh.... we just call them Asians or Africans or whatever... Here there's lots of really stupid political correctness though, you can't call Africans black people and you can't even order Black or White coffee, it's coffee without milk or coffee with. My country is too polite for its own good. xPP}

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Kayley said, when Rai made a comment about being rich. Strange, if you changed his words a little, he would've been quoting someone, save the 'riches' part. Some guy in a movie, or something, right? She felt that she should've said something else, but decided to turn towards Maxie's direction when she announced her return, along with Zachary and Amelia.

"It seems the situation has gotten a lot better." Kayley commented, waving back towards Maxie while Fishy continued to sleep, causing Kinaki to continue sulking.

Join the club Plushie. ^-^ Seriously though, those every char in that RP except Yikari have anti-social tendencies or what? He's like the only character who's talked to another RPer's character yet. xD

On the subject of Americans...there are some good, intelligent, wonderfull people (Like Melissa and Plushie here), then there are those who are okay, and then there's the horde of the clueless, moronic, fanatical and trigger happy (E.g. George Bush the dumber) which can unfortunately be found in every society. ?? It's like this one Swedish writer dude said;
Smart Swedish writer dude said:
"It's not a surprise that every deomcracy in this world is run by idiots. After all, idiots constitute the majority of this world's population."

And yeah, I have no doubt that Iams is evil. But it's downright scary to think about all the cruel corporations in this world. As an example we have everyone's favourite MNC Nestl? (Also the owner of a variety of other larger companies in various bussinesses such as L'Oreal), which, among other things, not only sold powder milk to the third world as baby food (Even though tests indicated that it was potentially lethal to substitute real mother's milk with that stuff), resulting in millions of babies dying because they didn't recieve the antibodies that mother's milk contained and ended up defenceless against diseases, but they actually started a campaign promoting their product as healthier for the babies while at the same time portraying breastfeeding as being hazardrous, handing out free samples of the milk to new mothers and dressing up their sales personell as nurses to give them proffessional credibility. Plus, 80-something percent of the cocoa they use to produce their chocolate is bought from plantations in Africa which still use slave (Mostly child) labour. We had to do research on this stuff in Economics today, and the way they blow their own horn on the company website is just detestable...?? And on the animal cruelty front, we also have L'Oreal's (As mentioned, a subordinate of Nestl?) lovely animal tests. Dang, I wish they'd have picked me for the debate about wether Multi-National-Companies (MNCs) are good or bad. People like that should be hanged by their genitals. <_< Oh, and Charon, it's no good just boycotting the Iams brand as it's most likely just a puppet company for an MNC (Most likely either Nestl? or Craft (Which is incidentally run by the same people as one of the world's largest tobacco companies) as they more or less dominate the food retailing industry together).

Oh, and we've got the usual political correctness stuff here. "Musta" (Black) is forbidden, as is "Kinkki" (Offending form of "Kiinalainen" which means chinese), "Viirusilm?" (Mocking reference to asians, specifically their eyes being narrower than scandinavian ones), "Neekeri" (The real mean word for 'black people') is of course completely out of the question, as is "Manne" (Mocking term for Gypsieish people) and "Ryss?" (Old term meaning russian which is now usually used either in insulting context about said people or as a term for any given object that is unreliable and prone to snapping/malfunctioning with little or no notice, as well as a faulty good being sold at the price of a proper one.). Can't remember what the official substitutes are, though.

Anyhow, ranting aside...

IC:

"Yeah, kind of like that..." Amelia concured with Maxie's comment, relieved that neither the girl nor Zachary seemed intent on prying into the exact nature of her relationship with Sanada, as that was a slightly fuzzy area even for the trainee herself and she was embarassingly prone to blushing when she tried to work through it. She knew that she didn't like him like that, well, at least she had never felt like she did...that she knew of anyway, but-oh, why was she even analyzing any of this? She did know that being with Sanada had certainly never felt like she had just felt a moment ago, and that was what mattered.

The trainee looked up at Zachary as the boy mentioned any battle involving ghosts being creepy, could he maybe be even more freaked out by ghost pok?mon than she was? It felt unpolite for her to ask though, and who knows? Maybe she wasn't as bothered simply because she had spent so much time with ghost types that she had grown used to them, yes, that was probably it "I agree with you on that." Amelia said, so as to avoid the boy thinking that she thought he was a coward or anything, "Particularly when it's two ghost pok?mon fighting each other. It's just eerie to watch both slip in and out of view and throw all kinds of peculiar attacks at each other. That and the battles between ghosts tend to be the most drawn out because both have a type advantage against each other so that they're really careful with their defences."

At Maxie's words, the trainee finally realized just how far their little group had gotten, remaining silent for a while as they reunited with the others.

"It sure has." Amelia replied at Kayley's comment, giving the girl with the trumpet case a smile, "And Rai?" she added, turning to the boy, "I'm sorry about the way I shouted at you...it's just that I was-"

"Furious." the boy finished, giving the trainee a polite smile, "Don't worry about it, I think I understand what happened."

"Right." Amelia said, heaving a small sigh of relief and giving him a nod, "Well, I'll have to go inside and get some bussiness sorted out, I'll see you guys later, allright?" she adressed the last statement to the whole group, "Are you still going to challenge the gym today?"

"Well, that's the plan." Rai replied, casting a glance in the direction of the sun. It was getting rather late in the day and the sky was already beginning to redden, but they were pretty far into the Showgan spring and he knew that there was still a good couple of hours of proper day left. It seemed like a waste not to use them.

"I see." Amelia said, nodding, "Well, good luck to you all. I'll stay here for the night at least so come tell me how you did, allright? Bye!" with that and a last wave to the assembled trainers, the girl walked over to the pok?mon center door, pulling it open and dissapearing inside with Kuro still firmly in her arms.

Just then, Kaika had decided to stirr in his sleep, his brown eyes slowly opening and a small yawn escaping his mouth as the Vulpix peered around his surroundings in confusion, {Wha-what has been happenings here?} he inquired curiously, {Dids something important happen while Kaika was nappings?}

OOC: Meh... corporations are evil. Why can't rich people ever be cool? -.-

Okay... had history class again this morning. It wasn't too bad except... I was all prepared to answer a question in class, first this boy near me answered a joke answer, and this made my teacher laugh. He paused, so I figured, "Here's my chance!" and said my answer, which was "slaves". The teacher didn't hear me, and instead proceeded to make another comment on the boy next to me's comment. I was like... o.o;; and figured I'd just say it again, but then my teacher asks the boy to try again so the boy says, "slaves"!!! I was like... O.O;;; That was MY ANSWER! NOOO!! I hate it when someone takes my answer because the teacher didn't hear it but they did!! GAH! And this same boy never passed me the sign-in sheet. He's going on my "Intensly Dislike" list. >=/

Luckily I got to answer another question later on in order to prove my worth. Ha.

Zachary
=============

"Um... okay bye!" Zachary waved, as Amelia rushed off into the Pokemon Center. He turned his attention to his friends, and shrugged a little, though he wasn't quite sure why. Perhaps as if to say, 'Eh, everything's fine now, even though I'm still not quite sure myself what's happened.'

Ron looked at the other pokemon. {Good, now we can get back to business!} he said, nodding to himself and the others.

"So Rai, gym challenging time?" Zachary asked the boy, smiling, "You nervous? What about you Kayley? Didn't you say you wanted to try for a gym badge too? Or... was it Maxie? No wait... Silver?" He quieted, figuring it was pointless to keep guessing as he was just confusing himself. He looked over at Silver when he had said her name though, and realized that she looked as if she had been upset by something.

He leaned over to Rai, "What's up with Silver?" He had said it in a low voice, not wanting the girl to hear him. Well, hopefully the problem had already been remidied, because Zachary could never really figure out what was going through her mind at any given time.

OOC:

I feel your pain, Melissa. Oh, how I feel your pain.. XD

{BUSINESS!} Fishy yelped, right after Ron had stated that they were to get back to business. He leapt to his feet, still in the surprised Kayley's arms, now wide awake. {Wha! What did you say about business!? No! Un-FUN!} Fishy wailed, curling into the fetal position and swaying back and forth, right in his place on Kayley's arm.

Kayley sweat-dropped, but figured that he was actually just trying to get attention. Going with that conclusion, she decided to ignore the Mudkip and turn back towards the Pokemon Center as Amelia went in.

"Yes, good-bye! We'll be back later!" However, once she had said that, she wasted no time in turning back towards Zach as he asked about the Gym Challenge. He looked just about ready to seriously confuse himself.

"Um, yes, I was going to challenge the Gym as well. Eh.. Don't stress." She said, just wanting to answer the question so the boy wouldn't have to ponder further. Pondering was hardly ever fun.

Meanwhile, Kinaki had begun laughing again, this time the laughter aimed at Fishy's newfound distress.

OOc-

That was exactly the way the one or two of my teachers treated me sometimes!O.o
They act like they can't see me raising my hand and ask the nearest person who has a raised hand to answer the question.-_-;;

Oh, and sorry for the lack of posting, dudes.
I've been too tied up with my History Project since the beginning of the week.>_<

Jena had decided to keep quiet once more as Rai and Kayley started talking about their fathers. About how their fathers were too busy to find time for them. How the girl wished that she could share her thoughts with the two, but... she couldn't.

Anyway, who'd ever hear of a Mareep Rearer who had no time for his daughter?

Still..it wasn't the fact that Jendo was too busy with his training to spend time with her. It was that he would have rather trained with his disciplines instead of talking to his own daughter. Jena understood that being a good martial artist meant a lot to him, but still...
The girl shook her head to get herself out of her thoughts, just in time to see Amelia, Maxie and Zachary approach them. "Oh good, all of you are fine.."she said with relief, it seemed that Amelia and Zachary were in a much better mood now, which was obviously a good thing.

"Oh! Eh..Bye, Amelia!"the Coordinator followed the rest as the Trainee stared towards the Pokemon Center, realising that she was actually quite brave, going back in..and risk the wrath of Gwendolyn.

Still, she felt bad about Silver, overhearing the question Zachary had proceeded to ask Rai, but decided against answering. She was bound to mess up.

{I don't think that Ron was refering to business as in the circumstance where one must work.}Ryne had jumped back a few steps as Fishy suddenly yelled out, she wasn't really one who was going to get used to this type of randomness anytime soon.
