Showing up in unexpected places?

    So I've been slightly panicking all week because my cell phone went missing last Friday. I haven't seen it since and when a random charge showed up on it (aside from incoming text charges), I disabled it online the other day and assumed it had been stolen. Fast forward to last night and as I'm getting ready for bed, I hear the noise my phone makes when it's about to die. A few minutes of frantic searching later and I found my phone in a pillowcase. :| How it got there, I will never know, but at least now I know why I couldn't find it all week. (And that my phone has a very good battery life. o_O)

    So that brings me to my question: have you ever lost something in a really ridiculous place? Like, when you finally find it, you just sit there thinking how the hell did it get there?!
     
    I don't know if this counts but I thought I had lost my cell and I checked my pockets and it was there ._....

    Oh and I've lost the car keys and it turns out it was in a pan in the kitchen. Weird...
     
    I'm not too clumsy to see things ending up in unbelievably places. The worst I remember of that sort of situation is finding the remote control inside the food closet XD.
     
    Have you ever lost something in a really ridiculous place?

    I once lost my wallet(yes my wallet with $$$) at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, and I was really nervous about it since it was a field trip there with my summer camp, and we were leaving pretty soon. I almost gave up all hope of finding it until I walked up to the Lost and Found place. And to my luck, they had it. :D

    Note to self: Keep all important items in backpack -.-
     
    Oh, I've had that happen to me plenty of times in my life (losing my Brother's DS for a year and finding it under my bed, etcetc). I think the most notable one (or at least one of 'em) would be when I lost my Hamtaro game. I had lost it a few weeks before my family and I were about to go on a trip to Florida (if I recall correctly). I wanted to bring the game so bad, but I couldn't find it.

    To my surprise, right when I was about to leave the house and go to the car it was on the couch. And not on the edge or anything, but smack dab in the middle of one of the cushions. How it got there, I don't know, but at least I was able to play it during the trip. |3;
     
    The old desk I used to use was this lovely piece of junk. The white part of it was a plank, which can get lifted off completely.

    One day, I had Emerald on my desk somewhere. Next thing I know, I can't find it. At all. Fast-forward months later, when I moved the plank for whatever reason. Emerald was stuck on top of one of the metal blue cabinets. It'd been between the plank and the cabinet, which was why I couldn't find it.

    To this day I still have no idea how it sneaked in there.
     
    When I wore glasses, I lost them on my face. I've lost my phone in my hand. I guess that those are the weirdest places that I've lost things. Oh, and my mom has left her phone countless times in stores...
     
    I have lost my student ID card and located it in so many oddball locations I can't even remember them all... under the bed, in the pillowcase, in the otherwise empty drawer, under one of the anime figurines on my desk... only place it HASN'T popped up yet is inside my refrigerator.
     
    I lost my phone once a few months ago, and I looked everywhere I could think of. Then one night I was at work (I work at American Eagle), and we were closing and I just happened to mention I had lost my phone and my friends kind of pause, and then die laughing. Apparently my phone had some how ended up inside of/behind a stack of jeans in those slot shelves we have, and I guess when I was calling to find it at home they heard it ringing there and stashed it away to give to me XD Why they couldn't have called me and let me know, I have no clue.

    I wish I could have seen the look on whoever it was that was near my phone's face when it rang, my ring tone is so freaking loud @_@
     
    Um, best thing I can remember was when I stole my friends phone as a joke and forgot I did and we went looking for it, and then I remembered I hid it and I was like ":|"
     
    Yes, I remember the time where I lost my 10 dollars for the school canteen. It was a freeing day; and I wanted to buy a warm cup of noodles. I thought I kept it in my pocket. I found it in my shoe. Honestly I don't know how it got there but I do have a theory, I must've thought I put it in my pocket, let it go it slid down my leg and into my shoe.
     
    My Pokemon Emerald. I was in my friend's house playing it (he lived to apartment houses over). Then I lost it. I gave up finding it. A year later (after my friend moved) I find it under my oven. o_o

    If I had to name all of the times I've lost something, I'd never stop. xD
     
    Well, the remote seems to be the thing that I lost frequently, and sometimes I find it in weird places. The weirdest place is the bathroom. o_O

    It only took me about 10 minutes to realize I was holding the freaking books in my left hand under the paper. Jeez. It's like when you're looking for your pencil everywhere and you just about give up when you realize you're still holding it. >_<; Worst.

    I worked in a bookstore. I know exactly what you're talking about. Having all those books around messes with your head and you do the dumbest things like put a book on a shelf right in front of you, look away for a second, then look back and be unable to find the book after looking at the entire row and the ones above and below it three or more times.

    This past weekend I helped move my grandmother and in one of the boxes she had my old Stone Age laptop and my old Game Boy with my original Pokemon Blue game in it. It has been years since I last saw either of these. I didn't really care about the laptop since it was mostly dead and useless when I gave it up, but I thought I had sold my Game Boy away years ago. I don't know how my grandmother ended up with it, but I'm pretty sure she hadn't playing it.
     
    I really want to know where my Pokemon games are, because they're certainly not where I left them, the heater. So that'd be an unexpected place. But loads of these have happened to me, too much to count xD Well for telling's sake:

    Erm, let's see, what can I recall, oh yeah lol. Just recently I found old phone headphones, which I thought were dead, behind the same heater were I lost my games. Now how on earth did they get there? I'm pretty sure I lost them, outside the house @_@ They still work as well :o
