Oh boy I agree with Anti!Shuckle is/was/always will be a crap poke!The only way you can cause any signifigant damage with him is with the trick Room/Power trick set!yes you can cause a bit of indirect damage with him but he still CANNOT do any signifigant damage to anything without the Trick set!His main purpose is to absorb hits which he rules at but all that does is let your opponent power up and sweep the rest of your team so the bottom line is Shuckle is Crappy as an attacker without the Trick set and that is an extremely risky set!

anyways in my opinion shuckle is kinda useless but then again i really havent looked into it so yea...

How exactly were you being assaulted? Sorry, but Dugtrio does better trapping than you.



Blazikendude, thanks for pointing out what was obvious the entire thread. Shuckle isn't an attacking force. It's a staller, indirect damager, and when used right it won't let your opponent build up on you.


I will add that Encore goes through subs.

This reminds me of my argument with Mullet...but that's beside the point. Truth is, shuckle is useless, just check out serebii. I mean, indirect damage is still damage, but shuckle can't even use that.

Of course shuckle isn't an attacking force...what I'm saying is that it still has to be able to beat the opponent in some way, not just stall stall stall. Even stallers have some way of inflicting some kind of damage. I don't see how shuckle is a worthy edition to a team...plusle can use encore too ya know...but who uses that?

And if you hate shuckle so much, why defend it? While a few of your points are valid, you are just trying to play mind games with me now...any decent player can tell you...

1. Shuckle<steelix.
2. Shuckle really isn't good, usable, but very bad
3. There are way better mixed walls

Pretty simple. So yeah, shuckle is dirt. It is barely usable, and even the right set doesn't give it much power. Truth is, shuckle can't learn any worthwhile moves except encore and knock off, which other pokemon can pull off too, plus have more power overall.

I'm through in this thread, unless somebody really ticks me off. Really, shuckle is simple, don't use. If you wanna use it, use one of Penguin's sets I guess. So yeah, my point has been made, so off I go...happy now?

You obviously didn't spot the sarcasm there. Haha. <3 Shuckle.

Also, you obviously didn't understand what I meant by "indirect damage". Knocking off your opponent's items is damaging their team, whether you like it or not.

You're still doing what you were doing from the start: advising people not to use Shuckle. How exactly does it contribute to the topic?

IT contributes to the topic because in my honest opinion, shuckle isn't worth using. It's just an opinion, and I advise people not to use shuckle. If people want to, fine by me, I just don't recommed it because of its horrible movepool and such.
