Not really.
Cause Raichu's better.
=P

But yeah... He is probably even more important than Ash.

I don't really mind Ash, but he needs to get some better pokemon and they shouldn't keep him the same age through the whole series. Seriously, he's been the same since episode 1.

This is common practice in serial fiction. See any number of comic book characters, The Simpons, and James Bond, all of which have been around much longer than Pokemon.

Please start a new series. Remember the Pokemon Chronicles and how the storylines changed? It should have been like that. >.< Not episodes that revolve around one character constantly.

Well, technically Chronicles was actually part of the Anime in Japan, but yeah, I agree, for the most part.

LOL. I was checking out some message board and I saw this siggy. XD

Spoiler:

But eh...The Anime's movies are still good IMO. I've said time and time again. At least either a PokeSpe anime or more chronicles...Kenta FTW! XD

As for randomspot...eh Copyright laws are good but could you please tell me how the heck am I supposed to keep up with the rest of the PokeSpe fandom short of finding money to import or waiting for the June VIZ realese? (Yeah right...in this crappy economy? You're lucky enough to find Web access! And I'm in HS!)

The real question is, does nintendo expect us to keep watching this crap?
I mean, c'mon. Pokemon Chronicles FTW. I mean, I swore the main character WANTED to catch a Legendary Pokemon. Ash is being a ***** about it. He's more like...Stage Props. I could handle Paul as the main.

D/P/Plat is by far the best in terms of plot and character development. While Kanto and Johto were littered with COTD (and the few that did make more than 1 appearance were far apart and few), Sinnoh has given Ash and co a good supporting cast that keep coming back.

Also, obligatory "Nintendo does not make the anime" response.

Sure, some are coming back more than others (Zoey appears far more than Kenny, despite both being rivals of Dawn), but the point is the supporting cast is actually being used, instead of appearing once than never heard from agan.

There were only a handful of episodes that I actually enjoyed. Brock's trip back home was pretty good, I admit, as well as Misty's battle against that idiot trio. But I thought the Raikou special was lame.

See Movie 2 as to why that'll probably never happen.

I could handle Paul as the main.
I don't think you could. A large part of what makes Paul interesting is he's a great foil to Ash, and vice versa. Without both being there and questioing eachother, then there's nothing left. That's why many of Ash's other rivals...really aren't all that great. Gary's a child hood friend of his, Ritchie basically IS him with a bit more of a sense of responsiblity, and Jun/Barry is more entertainment (Though really good entertainment) than a pure rival.

Better than hearing that god-forsaken voice...

I think they should put Ash in shorts like that Gold/Jimmy guy. I think they should get his original voice person back. They should stop focusing on Pikachu so much. That mouse/squirrel/rabbit thingy gets so much attention. I wish he would use his other pokemon more often and have them evolve. (Personally, I want him to go back to Johto w/ his costars having new looks as well as him, and he can use his Bayleef, Cyndaquil and Tododile so they can evolve, they can give Dawn a Johto starter that was breeded from one of Ash's old Johto starters.) Keep the show, but just stop having lame filler episodes. The old episodes in Kanto were real episodes that didn't need a second part to make it complete. I hated hearing at the end, "They are headed for Hearthome city" in 10+ episodes. Seriously, you could have more air time just by getting rid of heading for Hearthome city. I get the point. They keep making Team Rocket do the same thing over and over. Why can't they give them new costumes and have them leave these 10 year olds alone. Let Jessie do more contests in a sub-plot and give James something to do-like being a real trainer and raising his pokemon. Let Dawn consider gym battles, but not let Ash or Brock know about it. Have Brock stop being obsessed with girls in every episode, and let Croagunk evolve. Let Brock battle with Croagunk. Let Ash talk to his old friends in private. Do something instead of giving us a "defeat Team Rocket" or "let's convince Paul that I am good at Pokemon."
Please? I love that episode where Misty, Duplica, Ash, and Brock dressed up as Team Rocket. It was so funny! Have something that interesting again. Please?

I think they should get his original voice person back.

The "new" (new being relative, because it has been 4 years) voice has evolved and gotten a very steady hold on the character. Throwing it out now would be a complete waste.

Honestly, I think the two VAs are close enough in style to not notice. If it wasn't for Internet Fans/SOVA, I would've never known there were VA changes.

They should stop focusing on Pikachu so much. That mouse/squirrel/rabbit thingy gets so much attention.

It's the mascot of Pokemon and the most widely recognized one. It's always going to get attention.

I wish he would use his other pokemon more often and have them evolve.

I'm sure he'll use them in the inevitable filler arc after Sinnoh League is over. If they should evolve or not is something else. I think most are fine as they are.

Keep the show, but just stop having lame filler episodes. The old episodes in Kanto were real episodes that didn't need a second part to make it complete.

There's a lot less filler in D/P, and even then, they're fairly entertaining (like the recent Team Rocket focused episode).

And Kanto had a ton of fillers.

I hated hearing at the end, "They are headed for Hearthome city" in 10+ episodes.

Kanto did this too, probably even worse than any other saga. There was a 27 episode gap between Ash earning the Soul Badge and the Volcano Badge. Ash did start his battle in the previous episode. And while not EVERY episode between those 27 were filler, most were. While Sinnoh does have gaps between badges of similar length (18 before the first, 31 between the first and second), they've spent more time developing supporting characters in this saga AND have to handle contests so there isn't nearly as much filler.

Let Dawn consider gym battles,

She did a gym battle, though it was more to help out Maylene (And herself) more than an actual interest in gyms.

[quote[Have Brock stop being obsessed with girls in every episode,
As with TR, running gags will never stop.

>_> They really are two different entities. Its easy to hear the difference.

In my opion they should continue the storyline with Gold (Jimmy) and his adventures with his Typhlosion. I remembered I liked it so much better than the whole series even though it was only three episodes, lol.

In Japan the story of Kenta(Yoshi/Jimmy) was aired as one big TV Special called "Pocket Monsters Crystal: Raikou, Legend of Thunder"

The Fansub >>>>>>>>> Dub. So many localization errors, especially turning one of the Rocket Memebers into a Woman(He had one of the deepest voices in the special, too) D:

As for this topic, I wanted Ash & co gone a LONG time ago(Starting in Late Johto). I wanted them do something similar to what Digimon did, which is create an all new series that have all new Characters. (Seasons' 3, 4, ect. are all actually seperate television series with different names in Japan)

Look, He was stated to be the strongest pokemon ever.

The point was he stated to be the greatest pokemon master around. Being a strong pokemon doesn't really count for being a master.

Ash had unnecessary tantrums, as well. Heck, even BROCK had unnecessary tantrums as well.
True, though still, her desire to beat the crap out of everyone seemed...unnecessary.

And I still view crying over losing as being completely unnecessary.
Anyways, she actually rarely had true tantrums (That is, fits caused for absolutely no real reason. Every time she explodes, it's usually because someone harmed her or is harming something she believes shouldn't be harmed.). That's different from the stuff the girls from Love Hina, or May/Dawn do.
Not exactly, usually when Ash did something she viewed unpleasent, regardless of his intention, such as trying to rationalize with Grimer, she would scream at him, or how about in a deleted scene from the first episode, she slaps ash after pulling him out of the water (or in the dub, yells at him for no real reason), or, in the orange islands episode, when she thought her Psyduck evolved, she threw a fit at the girl for thinking it possibly evolved at the time. OR, when brock mistook a blade of grass for a bug and he laughed over the mistake, she kicks him straight in the face. Tantrums, they may/may not be, but thats not how you deal with simple stuff like that, and shows her true lack of maturity.

The Source is in Water Pokemon Master's interview with Masamitsu Hidaka. I'll even post the exact thing on here:

It's in the second part of the interview here
Wow.....im blown away by the shallow....

The same old song and dance needs to stop. You know how whenever he meets someone and he says that he'll meet them again? 95% of the time he never does see him/her again. It makes me want to fire mah lazar!!!

Congrats on watching the show! That was true in Kanto/Orange/Johto. There were more than a few characters who re-appeared throughout Hoenn, and there's a bunch of supporting cast in Sinnoh.

I think ash should stay the main character, pokemon would suck without him. If they do pull him as a character I for one will never watch the show again and I'm sure alot of other people wont either.

I was thinking of writing a book called Pokemon glitch where the boy in Pokemon D/P is the main character as well as Brandon from Emerald. So I am writing a script on something else besides ash. They really need to open the world of pokemon a bit more don't you think.
