    If I were to put this in my sig, is there a way to make the background transparent instead of showing up in a white block?

    You would need to use Photoshop or another program to do that.

    I actually use RPG Maker XP; there's an option in there to choose a transparent colour on an image xDDD so that's what I do!

    *can't use Photoshop*

    You could always request someone do it for you in the Request Thread (down above the Fanfiction forum).
